Found Her at 43,58 coords( this is where she spawns )... She looks like a ghost walkin around... if she's not there she's wondering around waiting to be killed...Good Luck...

She wanders around the ruins...she can be a bit hard to see since she blends in a bit. I did this quest with three different characters and found it easier to wait near the big flame in the center of the ruins, she wanders past there.

Look for a ghostly female night elf with yellow text over her head. She cast the same -hit curse as the other mobs in the area, but otherwise has no special abilities.

It can be inferred from the quest information, but if you are wondering, she's a standard level 16 mob.

If you enable NPC names in the options menu, you should see her name in yellow. It is otherwise hard to see her, she is basically transparent.

Found anya dawnrunner at the ruins of Ameth'Aran at loc. 43,59 she was yellow and then i right clicked on her to turn her red and kill her. GL!

this quest wasnt hard for me because i was a level 44 gnome mage. lol. but you need to turn on NPC names on at the interface options so her name will turn in yellow so you can easily spot her. the only reason that i am questing in really low level places is because i am trying to get exalted because the mechanostriders are really loud and i want a tiger so good luck with this quest.

She wanders around the area a bit so eventually you will see her. Once you kill her and turn in the quest wait around a bit for a touching little reunion between her and Cerellean.

the advice on standing near the green flame and showing npc names worked perfectly for me, she really is nearly impossible to find without it.

It's worth combining this with the other Ameth'Aran quests:

The Fall of Ameth'Aran
Tools of the Highborne
Bashal'Aran (last part of a chain, starts with Bashal'Aran)

much easier if you have a caster than a melee because of her banshee curse. if you are a druid doing this, dont be bear form

She is a level 16 NPC you must kill. As such, it may be better to do a few other quests in Darkshore before you try this one; as it is likely you'll need to be able to kill her and another highborne at the same time etc.

She spawns at 42, 58. There is a small hill and a campfire in some ruins near there.

Been playing WoW since the day it first went retail, and even after all this time, this is still one of my favorite quests. You don't find many quests like this one in WotLK :(

If someone of you has read the Silmarillion book written by J.R.R Tolkien, so there was a story about Luthíen (an elf) and Beren (a human). The story was almost like this and it was sad too. ; (

This is one of the top quests in WoW.

i was just killing an rare night elf called moon...something something.
Whem i killed the rare mob i start to eat and drink to restore my mana and hp and she walked right next to me, i guess i was lucky :p.

But its easy just do /tar anaya and you will get her ;)

Sadly since the destruction Deathwing caused upon Darkshore this quest has been removed. Instead there is a series of chain quests that allow you to save our old friend Cerellean Whiteclaw and start a new quest called A Love Eternal.

Forever live his love for Anaya :].

In the aftermath of the battles at the Well of Eternity, I heard that Ameth'Aran had been destroyed, its people dead, including my love, Anaya.

I would never have thought, thousands of years later, that memories of Anaya would still haunt my dreams. Wandering the woods of Darkshore in a stupor, I found myself in the ruins of Ameth'Aran... where I saw the haunted spirit of my beloved.

She must be freed, but I lack the heart to do it. Her spirit must be destroyed.
