There's also a cave in the area containing more of 'em. Avoid the Servant of Allistarj around the crystal, that mob is for a different quest and is invincible if you don't touch the crystal after almost killing him.

The bad thing about this quest is that it's for Horde and Alliance, so you may have some trouble clearing the quest. Also, there may be level 70s around the area since the portal to the Outlands is just south - traffic is usual.

just completed this quest at lvl 55 and it gave 7350 xp

yeah this q takes time...but its a great way to build up XP...i made 40000 in an hour...make sure to have rest bonus built up.

Be prepared to kill a lot more than 10 Cultists, just because the place is swarming with them.

I had some trouble with this one as a 53 prot warrior. There's a high tendency for multiple shadowsworn to pull at once, and in the cave, for a patrol to add on halfway through. So it's best to go into fights on the side of caution, making sure you can fight about three times as much as you're expecting to.

If you do go into the cave, avoid Allistarj at all costs. He aggro'd me from across the room with a 500 damage fireball. Needless to say, I did not live.

And I've probably killed 30+ cultists looking for the 20 each of the thugs and adepts.

I am a level 54 Prot. (Warrior should be obvious as this is a Warrior's Class Quest). The biggest difference between Kreine's post and mine is the level. He was level 53, I am level 54. For me as a level 54, this quest was a breeze. I could kill 6 - 8 of them back to back without stopping to heal, most of the time pulling one or two at a time.

If you've specced yourself correctly, once you ding 54 you would be able to enable Devastate. This ability, when stacked to its max (5X) will go through all 50 of these mobs like butter. Using Heroic Strike, Concussion Blow, Shield Slam and other abilities like that only make it go a little bit faster.

You don't have to use Sunder Armor because Devastate applies the Sunder Armor effect. Stack this 5 times and keep using it. You'll clear this quest in no time, without any problems whatsoever. On top of it, as you kill the Shadowsworn mobs, they will drop Roasted Quail in so much of an abundance that you won't have to worry about healing or using potions and you'll have enough left over to continue on with the final quest and possibly even have more for after that. (If not you can always buy the Quail from the Innkeeper in Ironforge).

This is true. For those with Coordinates, they are between 64,27 and 64,47 -- North to South.

The previous talent tree I had was prior WOTLK. Contrary to my post above, you can now obtain Devastate at level 50, and still, it's quite an easy quest. Here is one variation you can reach the ability by level 50.

Just finished. So i dont need help. it was hard i had someone help me. i did some on my own. I think half. well all i have to say is that it is hard at level 51.

i soloed this at lvl 50 speced fury the only tuff npc's were the thugs i was patient and kill them all outside of the cave near the servant of allistarj there are two camps near the road eath of the portal

Just completed as lvl 51 arms speced ..as long as you are careful you can pick off 1 at a time sometimes 2..avoid getting too close to the mine or you will pull a mob or two..and avoid the servant... 2 locations mine and one further south...enjoyable for the grind

This quest doesn't count for the Warrior quest for the Wowhead profiler. Its not listed in the category for Classes quests. That's what I'm seeing for me though. Anyone else seeing this?
