Fairly straight forward quest. You might have better luck finding turtles out in the water, as the turtles on land tend to be camped to pieces. I have never figured out why so many level 60s love to kill those turtles...

BTW even if you don't fish, you still need to do this quest. The fishing rod sells for a good bit (can't remember specifics beyond 1+g).

If you go straight North from the town you will see the turtles, they are hard to miss.

I might have sold my fishing rod since I wasn't fishing before... but now that I'm 70 and bored out of my mind, I decided to pick up the hobby...

I would say keep the rod, chances are you'll probably start fishing out of boredom! (and from the money you can make from fishing at 70!);D

The 15 snapjaws gave me 20k experience.They were orange tho but very easy,like killing mobs at my own level.
Together with Gammerita it equals to around 33k experience at 46 relatively easily.

As of 3.2 the turtles have been lowered to lvl 44-45, even though the quest is level 50. Seems a lot of hinterlands quests have been nerfed in difficulty.

Also Snapjaws have %60 chance to drop Junk item. So the quest makes you btw 1.4g and 4g if you'll vendor the pole. (quest counts to Loremaster of Eastern Kingdom )
