This quest is the prerequisite to the creation of Librams of Focus, Protection and Rapidity. It simply requires that you go to the library between Dire Maul West and North and inspect a skeleton near Lorekeeper Lydros.

Leads to http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=7877. Look for a big stone chest underneath the library stairs, close to where the Prince is (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=11486).

To find this guy, in case you don't know how to get into the library:

Make sure you have a Crescent Key. Go into Dire Maul North. Take the first ramp directly in front of you into the grassy area, then turn left and down another ramp to a door that will ask you to use your key again. Follow the Annoyingly Long Hallway to reach the library. Once inside, run straight ahead. The body you need is just next to the globe statue, next to Lorekeeper Lydros.

This was possible to do without aggro at 60 by walking along the walls, so it should be cake for anyone above that.

Had to clear a lonely oggre at entrance before i could go to wall sneaking. Yeah otherwise confirmed its soloable :)
Edit: Hallway aint so annoying with +28% aspect of cheetah.

Several years ago, a lone elven master named Kariel Winthalus fled the devastation of his homeland with several ancient elven artifacts in tow.

Our search for this lost master led us from the ruins of Quel'Thalas, through the Burning Steppes, across the great expanses of the sea, to Feralas.

We suspect that the elf sought sanctuary in the halls of Eldre'Thalas (what is now known as Dire Maul).

You must find him, adventurer. Whether alive or dead, the knowledge he carried must be recovered!
