Best way is just head right out of TM north towards the mountains - don't take the road, just start walking right from the Bat.

The rewards for me were 250 Orgrimmar rep, but since the others didn't display I can only assume I got 250 for all Horde factions.

The xp of this quest does indeed scale. At level 75 I received 20,950 experience points, plus the usual 250 reputation gain with both Orgrimmar and the Frostwolf Clan.

It's worth noting that standing nearby Warmaster Laggrond is Voggah Deathgrip who offers the quest 'The Battle for Alterac'. This quest also scales and, at level 75, gives 17 gold and 70 silver. I've not yet completed it but I imagine the experience gain would be along the same lines as this quest.

Venture to Alterac Valley, located in the Alterac Mountains. Find and speak with Warmaster Laggrond - who stands outside the tunnel entrance - to begin your career as a soldier of Frostwolf. You will find Alterac Valley north of Tarren Mill at the base of the Alterac Mountains.

The drums of war sound off in a distant land, <class>. The favored clan of your Warchief is under attack from the nefarious Stormpike Guard of Ironforge.

By the looks of you, I can discern that you are indeed battle hardy and prepared to take on the cause of the Frostwolf.

It is you who must now take the next step in your evolution.

North of Tarren Mill, in Alterac, you will find the entrance to Alterac Valley. It is there that you will find Warmaster Laggrond. Hurry <class>, for the battle is upon us!
