The drop rate on these is really poor and the buzzards can be hard to find. There's a big clump of them at (14, 60).

I have an advice for you, if you're 40 and above and you want to do this quest.
I didn't want to do it, but I didn't abandon it. So I went to Tanaris, and I was surprised when a Roc (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=5428) dropped me these wings. So while I was leveling, I've done this quest.
You don't need to kill Buzzard from Badlands to end it.

I found many buzzard wings while questing outside of Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands.

Try the Giant Buzzards at 16,58. I only had to kill five or six of them to get all four wings. Good luck!

Well This Quest Can Be More Easier Than You Think Guys.. While You Doing Other Quests You Will Forced To Kill Buzzard Becasue He May AGGRO You ... But If You Was Making The Quest Only .. That Will Be More Than Boring

Giant Buzzards worked for me, I think I killed 8 or 9 of them. I had one already from when I came thru and aggroed one before I got the quest. Dont forget to get to Kargath for the flight path.

14, 60 was perfect. It took me 2 clears of the group there to get my four wings though.

Did it together with http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2258 , got both drops from birds pretty fast.

I also recomend to do those 2 quests with quest for Coyote jaws too, then time spent worth it.

I also found that little place good to get those wings... did it as a lvl37 warrior, even if those giant buzzards were orange to me, they were easy to kill. Good to do with reagent run.

Be careful doing this quest if ur a hunter in particular. I have an auto-feed addon so that i can easy feed my pet. I had to redo this quest twice for two reasons.

Firstly, the items are considered ingredients and therefor are not marked as "Quest Items" so the first time round i accidentally sold these items to a vendor.

Second time round i had collected 3/4 and then started to feed my pet, I had fed my pet twice before i realised that the auto-feeder was feeding my pet the quest items.

Just to clarify this wasnt a bug i did check with a GM who stated the following:
"The quest you are on is considered a cooking quest and as such the items required for it are not cosidered quest items, but ingredients. As such they can be vedored (bought, sold, traded, etc.). I do apologize for the inconvenience."

Best place to farm birds for wings is at 19,58. There are lv 41 birds there that drop buzzard wings

Head on to Arathi and talk to Slagg. He'll happily teach you it (assuming you have the correct cooking skill).

Dunno if Alliance has the same luxury...

I got all four wings in about 10 kills at 17,61 in the Badlands. I was also able to collect Buzzard Gizzards for Badlands Reagent Run.

got a 50% drop rate, best place, i think is (14, 60), like maurice said .

there's a clever trick for warlocks on these. slip fear into your rotation right before drain and they never fly out of your drain range. they fly right out then come right back. it will save a lot of mana not taking that dmg. fear is so wimpy. it's pretty funny.

for me the drop rate was like 1%maybe im just unlucky, but how do they fly without wings? :3

At 14,60 my drop rate was 100%. I don't know how, but I only had to kill 4. Maybe they raised it. I seem to get lucky in the Badlands quests. :) Anyhow, good luck to everyone else.

A tip if you are level 80 + and are speed levelling your cooking go to Hellfire Peninsula. You will find lots of bonestripper buzzards in the valley of bones east of honor hold. Happy hunting
