Killing Fozruk is fairly simple with a few 35-38's regardless of class. Kill/Fear/pettank his guards and concentrate on Fozruk. DOT's or a good pet can take out his guards. The Keystone is located with the Earth Elementals and is in the center. Use the Same group to complete and the elementals are nothin.

I must be a total newb, because I had a time and a half killing fozruk. >_<

No one in AH wanted to kill him, so I was stuck at lv 39 with 42 warrior and 37 rogue. It took a while, but we finally did it. Here's a neat trick that works will to kill his guards, but it requires a rogue, probably with improved sap. I don't know if this will work without.

Find Fozruk and his guards just as he's leaving one of the circles of binding. Sap one of his guards, and everyone will leave the sapped guard behind. Once fozruk is a short distance away, out of relative aggro range, kill the sapped guard. They will continue walking, oblivious. Do this for all of the guards, then you can take on Fozruk solo.

But you HAVE to be quick about this, because the guards respawn when he reaches the next circle of binding.

A lvl 42 elite spawns either after you complete the quest, or click on the shard to get the next quest, so be prepared.

The keystone is located at 44.8, 29.1. 42 elite spawns when you click it. Soloable with enough room by a frost mage.

Managed to do this mostly solo as a 41 warlock. Fear fozruk, kill his caster guard first, then his healer guard, then the melee guard.
I did it with voidwalker, since I think that's the only pet that can take such a beating.
After that it was some tricky fear-dotting of fozruk. It's tricky because he casts a stun if he gets too close, so if you don't hit the timing on fear 100% you get stunned and hit a couple of times.

I only did it mostly solo, as two friendly alliance people started hitting fozruk in the back as he hit 1k hp :)

As long as you kill the guards first fozruk is fairly easy to solo. With my 40 hunter I killed healer, then mage, then melee, using fd between each one.

Fozruk himself hits fairly hard, and does a stun with a fairly long range that is nasty if you are trying to kite him. Scatter shot and ice trap work fine on him though so easy to get back to range if he does stun you.

OK, maybe things have changed since the patch, but there's more to this quest then just killing Fozruk. With a 37 prot pally (me), 38 pally, 38 shammie & 37 holy priest we snuffed Fozruk & his little posse without too much hassle.

The holy priest & I went back to hand in. As soon as I clicked on complete, a second 42 elite giant appeared and attacked us. We put him down, priest handed in the quest & clicked complete - the same thing repeated itself.

From the comments on allakhazam, I was expecting a neutral giant to appear - I wasn't expecting him to appear *red* and immediately attack us. But apparently nowadays he is, so if you can't solo a 42 elite then be sure to take your group back to the hand in with you.

Oh, and do remember to click on the keystone again after the fight to pick up the follow on quest chain. We nearly forgot & it's not readily apparent.

Or if you are a rouge, or have a rouge in you party, make him/her sap Fozruks gurads, and kill the sapped guard when Fozruk walks away.

If you do this, and take the guards down one by one, it's pretty easy to kill Fozruk without 3 annoying humanoids :)

Here is a Nice trick:
If you are a Hunter Beastmastery it would be easy though....
Leave a Trap in front of fozruk's Healer.Then send the pet at the Fozruk's tank partener.You kill the caster.If you are low HP just Feign Death and let your pet harrass the mob.If you succeed into killing the three mobs then you can easily do a mana and health break and then solo the Fozruk.
If you are a Priest you must be at least 43 level to kill fozruk easily.Fear at 43 level makes all the Fozruk's parteners run away.Fozruk doesn't.So empty all the mana pool on him and be sure to put shield just before fearing the mobs because he can break it with 3-4 hits.

since patch 2.3 no longer elite, however not to be underestimated

his caster adds have roughly 150 health(no kidding, i could 1-hit them) and his warrior add has about 200(i just couldn't 1-hit him)

however, Fozruk has 2.4k health and some nasty abilities and high armor, but weak melee, all in all not a tough fight, my suggestion is if you have aoe, focus on Fozruk and use aoe to kill the adds, if you don't have aoe, kill each add seperately, they aren't tough at all

watch out when completing the quest, a giant with roughly 1.5k health will pop up, i almost died because i was at low health

i managed to kill fozruk alone with a lvl 40 hunter. i first killed the rat huminoids one by one, running away everytime i killed one of them to gain health back. once all the rat huminoids were dead i killed the lvl 42 elite giant (fozruk) alone using my pet as a tank. and using frost traps and fiegn death constantly.

No problems looting him.

They made this quest a walk in the park.
The guards besides him only have very little hp.
With my paladin level 56 I killed them instantly with just Consecration. The giant itself was killed in no time as well.
Shouldn't have a problem with him with any class at the appropiate level.

This quest is currently broken - the NPC is unlootable once killed. Will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

The name of the mob that spawns upon quest completion is Thenan.

Confirmed. In 2.3.0, you must kill him and loot him before killing his adds OR kill his adds before him.

When I killed him the first time, I kill the adds then tried to loot and it didn't work. The second time, I killed him then looted just fine, then killed the adds. For testing, I waited around and did it again. I was able to loot him if I killed ALL the adds before Fozruk.

The adds have 150-160 HP.

When you use the rod, Spawns a level 42 monster. Very easy. I was a lvl40 warrior (human).

solo'd as lvl 37 hunter with under par gear, bodyguards are push overs, then it's just dps at range, mend pet as necessary.

I had a level 66 Warrior help me kill him. He was on the ground for maybe 30 seconds and I wasn't picking up the loot. I wasn't lagging because I could see my type in party chat. Then he suddenly just disappeared, and I didn't receive the rod. He despawned very fast.

Did as lvl 39 lock w/ VW out. Wasn't paying attention to who I was clicking on, and accidentally feared Fozruk himself. But he is fearable nowadays. But he and his buddies all despawned extremely quickly, but i did get the loot from the giant at least. Didn't feel like finding him again to try to loot his guards.

Don't bother looting the Kobold protectors. Fozruk's disappears really fast, so loot it right away.

His protectors die pretty quick.

By the time I looted Fozruk, his corpse and his protectors disappeared.

I also suggest pulling him away from the Circle of East Binding. The Cresting Exiles have a pretty big aggro radius.

The circle where you start the quest is totally empty and its right there.

The giant that using the rod summons is not a problem as long as you kill the inner exiles around the stone first.

As a lvl 43 human warlock this quest was VERY simple. Since he goes from circle of binding to circle of binding I ran around between them to find him. I foudn him, sent my voidwalker in, then used to taunt to have him take aggro for all. After that I used rain of fire to kill the guards and do some damage to him. then I cast Curse of Agony on him. I cast Immolate and Corruption on him after that then started healing my pet. after he was healed I used Shadow Bolt till he was dead. it only took about 30 seconds to kill him and his guards.

Soloed as a lvl 40 Shaman. Fozruk's companions have high levels, but each of them went down after only 120 hp or so - one lightning bolt for me. Then, just beat on the big guy.

Soloed as 36 BM hunter..
As said before, frost trap on healer , pet on one , pew pew the last. Feign Death when u need to ..
Then pet on fozruk and Mend / DPS

Found him at 57 .51 or just west of the circle of outer binding. Took him down fairly easy with a ravager and a lvl 37 beast speced hunter.

Ok I finished this on my 36 hunter, wasn't the easiest thing ever because I had to try to get my pet to keep aggro, made sure his little guards were dead before attacking him and then made sure pet had full aggro on him then if i pulled him into me I just used Feign Death.

soloed with 39 feral druid, bear form (not dier bear, just bear form cause still lvl 39) will enough to tank fozruk. and doing swipe again and again will kill all of his body guard.

if any of the bodyguard tried to run away, just use feral charge to finish the running body guard.

after completion, a NON elite giant lvl 42 will spawn, and again very easily killed and tanked with bear form.

As of 2.4.3 he is at 61.2,48.1
he is not moving, and when I attacked him his minions didn't aggro me

For ppl without coords, go to the crossroads in the middle of the map, the one with the road that leads to Hammerfall, and go along the road to Hammerfall.
alternatively, go to Hammerfall, and go along the road outside.
eventually you will run into him.

BTW, he is neutral, he won't attack you unless you do first.

Just soloed him with 38 Holy Priest. PW:S is your best friend here, fear the buddies and focus on Fozruk. No sweat :D

I found this to be an extremely easy fight w/ a lvl. 42 prot pally. 1 consecrate took care of his guards and then it was a simple solo on the big guy. Lost a total of 440 hp. found him at 54,48.

grouped with a 39 resto shammy..

we found fozruk i pounced the preist guy and the DoT was enough to drop him so we took out the other 2 treal quick i went back and started casting/healing him and it was pretty easy.

I'm a mage lvl 38 spec frost and was able to kill Fozruk alone. Was tricky but did it. First I killed the guards one by one with only one frostbolt and run away. They don't follow you for too far. Then I manage to get Fozruk alone. I frostbolt him 3 times till he get near me then gave a frost nova so he wouldn't nove and blink to get away. Continued with frostbolt. Unfortunately he resisted a few times and managed to get near me so I used a Greater Healing Potion and one Mana Agate and managed to be able to win this one :D

Very easy quest as a rogue. I did it when I was level 40, so it was yellow to me, but I probably could have soloed it a level or two lower.

Just sap the guards and wait for the rest of the group to patrol away. Then kill the guard when hes alone. Repeat that process until they're all dead.

Fozruk himself is actually pretty tough, but nothing evasion and/or a pot can't handle.

Solo'ed as a 34 BM huntress, lol. I died to him once, before i got my head together.

Strategy? Here's your strategy. Bring a mana pot.
Start by targeting Fozruk himself. Keep mend pet up at all times. Have your pet gather aggro on him (Foz) for a couple hits then take out his adds (this way he never thinks of even coming after you with the constant mend pet up). Once the adds are gone, start all-out dpsing the giant himself. Immolation trap under him as often as you can. The first time you oom (you will, trust me) use your pot first. Keep up the dps, using arcane shot when available and keeping Immolation trap up too. When you oom again (and you will, lol) put up Aspect of Viper and gather a little bit of mana to replenish your mend pet, immo trap, and a couple rounds of arcane shots. If all goes well, you should have him dead before you go oom a third time. I never had to Feign once =D

Soloed as a lvl 38 pally. He's pretty easy to take down, but be careful not to get to close to the circles of binding when you attack because you'll aggro the elementals and it makes it a heck of a lot harder to kill him with 10 other guys on you.
Even with some other beasts attacking, I just focused on him, healed a couple times and used bubble shield once, and his minions were dead before I finished him off. Found him leaving the circle of inner binding, but he prolly goes to the other ones to.

i just soloed it as a 39 feral druid. It wasnt to hard just make sure that you are smart about healing *if you can*. As well as make sure u clear the area you are going to fight in, it will make your life easier. when you are donw killing him heal up and gte ready for the next fight. This fight wasnt hard eather just do the same thing and you should be fine.

Just soloed as a level 38 hunter, wasn't too much trouble.
As a hunter, you should start the fight with a multi shot and your pet on defensive. I have a bear, and between the multi shot and swipe, it wiped them out. Then just use immolation trap on Forzuk
and used aimed shot and arcane shot.

Just soloed this quest with a 39 Discipline priest. Basically keep shield up. I focused on Fuzruk, Holy fire, Devouring Plague, Shadow word:pain then smite/mindblast when I could. When the adds got too annoying I feared and repeat on Fuzruk. the adds were pretty easy to kill afterwards. I got lucky that one of my psychic screams actually affected Fuzruk and i was able to range him.. :)...victory was mine.

This quest was not as hard as you folks lead me to believe I used a Mage level 43 my Talent points are split evenly between Fire and Frost.

When I first got to the last key ( the southern one ) I saw Fozruk leave with his posse so I had to track him down. HE was NEAR 61,48 which is a unside down Y in the path. IF you are coming from the last key / turn in spot Head East stay on the road and within a minute or two you will see Fozruk to the left heading for another binding point. Which I believe is the first one that questhelper sends ya to.
I used Frost blizzard (cassted x2) and a cple of firestrikes and had the fight over rather quickly.
ATM I have not turned the quest in ,becuz of the horror stories y'all left here. I am waiting for my mage to "green" up.

Soloed as an 80 lock... just cast an SB and one-shotted him, easy as pie. Didn't even have to send in my felguard :-)

Edit: used felguard for the adds... he killed one in one blow, and cleaved the other one to death in the same swing

As of patch 3.0.9 he wasn't that hard, I took him down with a lvl 38 human fire mage.
The guards were ^&*! easy: 150-200 hp, kill them with fireball and then start casting fireball at Fozruk.
I missed a couple of times, but then I used frost nova, evocation, pyroblast, fire blast, fireball, etc.
You know the drill, at 400/2400 hp a lvl 62 suddenly popped out of nowhere and killed him with frost bolt.
I didn't need his help though, Fozruk is pie.

solo'd as a lvl 39 warrior charged fozruk and popped retaliation, thunderclap and demo shout the 42 didn't require any special tactics or anything just make sure you kill the mobs around the stone there stun that they do is extremely annoying.

Fozruk is realy easy , solo'd on 42 .Found on 40,52. Do not stend in one place - you have to look for him ."Guards" is kind of joke.Im playin retri pala and Consecration was enough for them
When you will finish quest another giant is appearin - 1300 hp

All hunters listen up i killed Fozruk at lvl 37 by my self i had kresh from WC as my pet. All u do is send ur pet in at Fozruk his gaurds will all get distracted by ur pet then place an explosive trap and the gaurds are dead then its just the matter of kickn back pumpin arrows into Fozruk the second giant isnt so easy make sure to kill all elemenals in center b4 completing the quest to prevent any interference.

just ran this quest as a 39 warlock using a voidwalker as a tank. Rain of fire killed the guards with no problem. couple of shadow bolts an regular wand attack killed the second giant np. easily soloed

gah! i see that stupid giant ALL THE TIME. the one time i actually need to kill him, he's nowhere to be found. i've run the stupid wander path 10 times now and no sign of him. GAAAH!

I didn't realize that he spawns at the quest starting point, so I left, and when I came back later, he was dead.

Am I screwed for this quest now? I've quit the quest and restarted, but nothing.

This is pretty easy. solo'd as a lvl 35 hunter- sent in my pet to attack the caster minions as i 1 or 2 shot killed the warrior minion. once they were dead i attacked foz with pet and auto attack while healing my pet. if you get aggro, drop a trap and aspect of cheetah till your pet gains aggro again, then do the same thing. just stay as far away as possible and dont let him stun you!

Was easy enough as a level 38 shadow priest.

Casting holy nova three times should take care of Fozruk's kobold friends.
Then shield up (just once covered the fight), drop pain and plague on him, topping up if necessary.
Using mind flay, mind blast, and holy fire whenever possible from then on.
I wasn't required to heal myself at any point.

He can be a pain to find. Finally found him at 46.17,59.38 (as of patch 3.3). He seems to show up most often near here (road intersection nearest to the center of the map). He has a small group with him Sleeby, Feeboz and Znort. As a 40ish Hunter with a Crocolisk pet, he and his minions went down without any effort.

this was easy as all get out! level 40 hunter. i sent my pet up to attack the guards and me shoot the giant, well the dumb giant stomped all of them and killed them for me! hehe yea real easy.

Got one add, a Raptor. Killed Fozruk, his two side kicks and the raptor with no probs.

soloed as lvl 37 rogue, started with a cheap shot on him and used blade flurry to aoe the adds (2 dies one ran away). Evasion dps --> sprint to finish the reattacking add --> back to him --> some random healing pot i had --> blind/bandage myself --> finish him

i ended at 2% but it was just the first try so it wasnt a perfect execution.

didnt use vanish as i didnt know whether he would heal to full and in general my finishing move was rupture.

Sapping the minions then killing them when the giant walks ahead works well, I had to pop all my rogue CDs on the giant and the preparation and do it all over again but the giant is stunable so he can be stun locked ;D.

Struggled to find Fozruk today post Cataclysm - anyone know if he's still around and whether he follows the same path he used to?

EDIT: Finally found him, can confirm quest is still there, that it all works, and that you can do it again even if you completed it previously in vanilla (though its shorter than I remember it!)

The first parts of this quest are still playable. However, after you kill Fozruk you cannot loot the Rod of Order from him. Kind of a let down after doing everything else to get to the final part only to find out that you can't complete the quest. :/ Did this solo as a level 31 Rogue.

Opening the Stones of Binding loosened much of my confinement, but a lock still holds me chained. It is the Keystone you see among this circle of stones. And the key is held by one of my captors, the stone watcher Fozruk.

You must obtain that key, which the stone watchers call the Rod of Order, from Fozruk and use it to open the Keystone.
