This NPC map - http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=1489 - shows the basic location of the creatures that drop the mixtures. A good group can knock this quest out rather quickly; the drop rate is rather quick.

i made this quest around 41.58 on the beach.. ( Stranglethorn Vale )
there were a lot of :
Zanzil Naga http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=1491
Zanzil Zombie http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=1488
Zanzil Witch Doctor http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=1490
with a good drop rate.

This quest is a good one to couple with Voodoo Dues (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=609), since the target mobs for that quest are surrounded by mobs that drop the Mixture.

the best place to farm this quest is the ruins by the ocean (40,59)

the mobs dont agro that bad, they're spread out, and i see few people there. The other ruins have everything right next to each other making chain agro easy, plus its right next to the road making you the perfect convenient gank.

I went to (40,59) very good place...

My drop rate was very though, prolly like 1 out of 10 drop it.

It is also useful to keep in mind that the Zanzil Zombies spread a disease that lowers attack speed and increases casting time by 33%, with a 5% chance to spread to allies. It lasts 4 minutes, so I suggest grinding off the other mobs.

Just kill everything that has the word zanzil before it's name.easy quest if you are the only one doing it.
TIP:prefer tha naga at 41,58 they drop clams.i got 2 black pearls till i finished the quest :DDDD

Drop rate on this quest was abysmal, spent near 20 minutes killing mobs. Good for grinding though.

This is a long boring quest. I had to grind it out for prbably an hour to get the quest requiremets. I though for all the work, the reward was small. There should be a higher drop rate, or a better reward for this one. Be prepared to hang out in this area for a while.

just go find Zanzil Zombie from them the drop rate is like 70%

Cleared the beach encampment 4 times to get the 12 mixtures, took about 45 minutes. Definately a grinding quest.

The drop rate is terrible. In an hour, we only made 8.

Did this quest as my lvl 70 human pala, took 54 killz!!! and yes, around (40,59) on the beach is a good place for you :D, absolutely apalling droprate. (o and btw i did it as me 70 cos i want to try to do every quest in teh game, lol >.<)

Also, since the drop rate is the best off the Zanzil Zombies, if you have done any of the quests up in the Kurzen's Compound area (44, 10) the mobs there drop Jungle Remedy http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2633 Which removes the Contagion of Rot (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=7102) Disease they put on you, but it's a 2 min cool down, so grind on the others around there until the cool down is done or something.

Do not use the spot by the road, you are easily able to aggro five and them and they run away.

The beach is a better spot for this quest, after trying by the road, I looked it up and found this place and if your doing Voodoo dues you can knock two quests out.

Completed quest with ease as a Lvl 46 Warrior. Used charge followed by shield slam. Hamstring rend is good for them not to move away. If another attacked I just used sweeping strike & maybe retaliation. Great drop rate. Took me about 10 mins down on the beach. Just watch out for the big giant if you're travelling via the beach from booty bay. He's an elite at over 6000 health.

The mobs also drop Ichor of Undeath which is later used for the "Ichor of Undeath" quest. If you do said quest later, (quest is level 50) go back to the zombies for the Ichor of Undeath. There's my uselesss fact for today, I suppose.

Does NOT count for Loremaster of Kalimdor, it might count for Eastern Kingdoms but i couldnt check because ive already completed that one.

Zanzil has methods of bending the minds of others, and his leaders fear him. He uses a mixture of jungle plants on his followers to suppress their will and strengthen their bodies.

His mixture would be worth much to those who wish to control others.

Bring me samples of his mixture, and I will find a use for them.
