You can grab the registry from outside the building. Jump up on the ledge of the western wing, and search the wall left of the center with your mouse for the action-wheel. The elves are rather annoying, so this is the best way to solo this one. Good luck!

WHAT AN UNLUCKY QUEST !!! I'm trying this quest from an hour and still can't manage to solo it. Die 5-6 times from two mobs who protect the registry (60lvl).... except this there has two 60 lvl patrol mobs :) When you kill the protectors they automaticly respawn in the same time :) If you don't like difficult quest this definitely is not your one ... have fun :)

this quest is realy a pain... but i managed to do it as a 56 fure mage... almost.. when i was in the house and near the book a 70 priest runed by and help me .. :)

As a 57 Demo Lock, I am really hating this Q. The respawn is way to fast to easily solo this Q

I solo'd as a 56 hunter without probs, just aggrod with bear for the book and then ran in from the back entrance.

Book is guarded by two Quel'Lithien Protectors. They hit hard, they hit fast, they will attack from range, and they will interrupt your spells. In addition, the lodge and its surrounding area is packed very tightly with elves; inside the lodge there is a two-elf patrol that pats to the two protectors and the book.

It gets even better. You must kill both Protectors; if you only kill one and die it will respawn immediately. In addition, the respawn rate of the other mobs in the area is so fast that you get ONE shot before you have to reclear everything you worked so hard and carefully to clear before. Because the mobs are so dense here, you have no escape either. If you mess up, you die and start over.

PS. The book is not lootable through the wall anymore.

Very frustrating quest for me on my druid. Although some of the mobs here are as low as 56, the two protectors whom you can't avoid are 60. And if you can't CC one, they will tear you apart if you aren't of the appropriate level. I spent a half hour or so on this quest before giving up, first at 56 and then at 57. It took me a long time to get a decent pull on the 60 guards since I was trying to be stealthy, and even when I got one I just couldn't kill them... I had already used all my consumables, of course.

So although it's tempting, I would really recommend against trying this quest before level 58 if you don't have a reliable form of CC you can use.

Soloed as a lvl 56 affliction lock, able to do by using an infernal to take the agro after killing most of those inside, then click take and gone, only whipped once

Hunters, just set your pet on ag and run for the book, youll have plenty of time. As previously said, its your first right after coming in. I died after, but hey, got the book. Going back for the kills now. Good luck all.

The protectors alone resist Drain Life nonstop. Those pats make it so annoying. I recommend NOT doing this at 56.

Locating the char you need to kill are really easy. But it took me a long time to find the book. As you go in the room I found it to the left on a table with 2 lvl60 guards on it. Respan rate is fast. Good Luck. ILL.

WELL as a rogue EASY sapped on of the protectors and got 5 combos on other cheap shotted him and took the thing under his nose then vanished BEST WAY to do it these days

Couldnt loot the registry through the wall (this bug was probably fixed). I just cleared the mobs on the way up the hill, then went around to the right of the building (east) and pulled the two guards from the registry. Kill them both then loot when the area is clear of the patrolling guard.

Watch out for fast respawns. I wouldn't bother trying the main entrance, unless you fancy going 5 on 1. Loc of lodge is 52,19.

PS: I did this as a 56 druid, i did die once; but then i nailed the right strategy.

Just a warning to all rogues/druids, as of 2.3.3 at least, they seem to completely ignore stealth, without showing the Blue Eye. Stealthed behind one for sap he turned before I could try to sap and they are all green to me. And no, i did not run into it, this has been happening the entire time.

I found out that you can get to the building from the east, rather than fighting all the way back up the path, after I jumped off the cliff and realized I had forgotten to kill a Ranger.

The most irritating thing about this place is the fast 3-mob pack respawn that pats outside up til the door of the lodge. Ganked me 2 times already... so try to kill the mobs fast and move INTO the lodge. Other than that it's pretty easy (provided you're >57).

I had a lot of trouble with this quest, ended up dying quite a few times to get the book.

Priests! While going up the hill, you only have to kill one side, use mind soothe on the other target and you'll be able to slip by :)

This was easy for a 57 Protection Paladin. I spent two hours farming there because of the high green drop rate and easy kills. To any other Prot Pallys i highly recommend this spot for grinding.

I did this as a lvl 57 frost mage, and i got it on my third try.

Clear up the hill, run around the cliff to the protectors and wait for the patrol to walk past them.
Now, polymorph one mob and let your water elemental attack the other one. Take the registry.

Now RUN!

Completed as 58 Protection Paladin but it was very rough. Cleared my way up the path no problem. Most of the mobs along the path can be attacked from range and pulled individually. When you get to the top of the path there are 3 mobs that patrol together. Not being able to stealth means there is very little chance of avoiding them. Took all 3 at once with no real difficulty. Took out the two guards on each side of the door into the building, they can be pulled one at a time. Once inside the building is where things got hairy. I aggro'd one mob but they stood their ground and shot arrows at me while another mob from nearby ran out to attack me. I ran to the mob shooting arrows and fought him and other mob together. When the first mob dropped I turned to fight the second mob and two others began shooting at me from distance. I took out the second and ran over to the ones at distance and took them out. If you are standing in the doorway the book is the "wing" to your right. This building is set up exactly like the Quel'Danil lodge in the Hinterlands if you remember doing any of those quests. The book is guarded by two mobs, they hit hard and for some reason I was not able to heal myself because they were using some kind of interrupt. I had to use a potion to keep my health up and finish them off. Looted the book, healed and headed out the front door and ran into the 3-man patrol which had respawned just in the time I was inside the building. Took them out and all the mobs down the path had respawned as well. Mounted up and tried to just ride down the path and get out but they knocked me off my mount and I had to fight 5 at once. Probably could have been executed better and with a little more patience but I got it done nonetheless.

Very very frustrating as an arcane mage. All mobs involved with this quest have very very high arcane resistances and they resist your sheeps and slows very very often. You will die a lot if you are arcane here, although I saw them resist lots of fireballs or frostbolts as well. For mages I would advise that you do this quest with someone that can help.

Inside the place is very very packed up with elves and once you can clear all but protectors and attack them, the two patrols spawn. This is very frustrating q to do at 57 and as an arcane mage. Almost like a torment.

Took me half an hour as an level 57 arcane specced Mage to finish the quest. Died four times, and since mobs were 60 sometimes I had to use lots of mana to down them. But I completed it. It was a challenge and if you like challenge go for it.

Killed all mobs in the area alone and the quest was not completed - there are not enough mobs of each type.

You have to wait for re-spawn - luckily they do re-spawn quite fast.

I just unintentionally kited around 10 of the mobs for this quest all the way back to Light Hopes Chapel. I had just finished the quest and was riding out down the hill, I got dismounted by one of the mobs. I then began to run like crazy and they kept following me to my surprise.

I followed the road all the way back to chapel, avoiding any other mobs and they were STILL following me! Thank goodness the guards at LightHope Chapel made quick work of them...
