For the Horde's part of this quest, Just head North to The Sludge Fen around the area of 55,11 and kill The Lost Barrens Kodo, 100% drop rate. If you still have the quest to get the Sunscale Raptors Feathers you can also do that while you wait for the Kodo to spawn / patrol close to you. The Kodo's around this area are Levels 14-15 and very easy to kill while in Bear Form. To get the 5 earthroot, just use the Herb gathering skill (If you have it) if you don't have it then you can do 1 of 4 things. Ask someone in your guild if they can get them for you, if you don't have a guild you can get them from vendors in the Cities that are close to the Herb / Alch. trainers, check in the Auction Houses, or ask in the trade channel in a major city. Hope this helps and good luck. I am doing this quest as I type this and the kodo's have a long respawn time, so just relax, kill some stuff and get xp while you wait!!

I found the Lost Barren Kodos around any of the oases in the Barrens. There's generally at least two at each, and I didn't find the respawn times to be too bad. Drop rate on the horns for me was 100%.

I found the kodos wandering around 54, 11. You have to wander to find them.

For the Earthroots- For those of you who dont have herbalism, I found that Hula'mahi in the crossroads sells 3 earthroots for 80 copper. And for those who are also going to silverpine forest for the water form quest, after you get off the zeppelin to undercity, go north on the road and brill is right there. Inside is another alchemist "Selina Weston" who also sells earthroots for the same amount and price. If these places dont work for you, just look at earthroots and there are some other vendors and drops as well.

Now for the Kodos- On the map for the lost barrens kodos i found a huge spawn point, southeast of wailing caverns, southwest of ratchet, northwest of northwatch hold, right in the middle of all of these places. There's a small hill with a pond at the base of it. All around there are a ton of kodos(53,44 is *about* the middle of them with a lot around that spot). Again there are more places than there so just look up kodo horns, then lost barrens kodos and the map will show you some spawns.

Kodos - Found many of them around 56, 11 (Thank you Suyash) - While you are in the area and working on Trail of the Sea Lion you can get your first Half Pendant of Aquatic Agility at 56, 8.

I had better luck looking for these kodos around the oasis. 54,11 just didnt cut it. they respawn to long and on top of that, the area is heavily populated with raptors and hyenas.

I would most definately go to the oasis at 54, 44. Many more kodos there!

i found my quickin' easy. All you have to do is go north near ashenvale. Theres like two mountain formations on the map. Go in between those and run around ull find kodo horns quick.

the earthroot is easy for the tauren because if you are an herbalist you start at 16 because of cultivation (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=20552) i have the 5 earthroots already and i'm only lvl 10

This quest-line scales with your level. I received 4300 experience for turning in this quest at level 46 (it stays yellow). I am not sure at what point it stops scaling, but I strongly suggest waiting until a later level to complete this very simple quest.

Also, for this particular quest, only Barrens Kodo and Lost Barrens Kodo drop the horn.

If you don't want to check the AH for earthroot nor have Herbalism nor have somebody who can give it to you: here is a list of vendors. They all have it in limited supply, meaning it can be sold out (it will then not appear in their inventory) but will respawn eventually.

If you're hunting for the kodo near the Sludge Fen, there are Savannah Prowlers for the Prowlers of the Barrens, and Sunscale Screechers for Raptor Thieves. You can also do Samophlange and Samophlange while you're in the area.

If you're doing the quest at level 14, I would advise you to watch out for the hyenas, as they are level 16, and were constantly attacking when I was working on a prowler or kodo.

Well you can no longer get the earthroot in Crossroads...The regeants vendor no longer has it...I was just there and looked...got everything else...but no earthroot...sorry everyone....

If you haven't picked up two professions yet, you can pick up Herbalism for 10 copper and be able to gather Earthroot right off the bat due to Cultivation.

Descrição

The water will serve as the base of the curative salve I shall make for the gazelles. For curative properties, I need some earthroot. Herbalists know how to find it, so if you are not familiar with this skill you'll need to find one to help us out.

Finally for potency, I need kodo horns - mere chips and fragments will not suffice. Kodos you can handle wander the northern part of the Barrens; bring some down for the greater good of the balance <name>, and fetch the horns for me.
