Mountain lions at 35.84.

If you walk straight up the road from Southshore and keep walking into the mountains sightly to the left you will pass the Yeti's and go straight up to Corrahn's Dagger. The Syndicate are to the right and the mountain and hulking mountain lions are to the left, all up on the mesa's.

It would be a good idea to clear up both quests at the same time. The respawn rate is really good on both so you should be able to finish both of them off in about 10 to 15 minutes round trip.

They appear to be on a rotating spawn. If you don't see any of the lions you need, kill the other type and wait for the respawns.

I'm not sure if this quest was lifted (doubt it) or if its unattainable at higher levels. I do not have this recipe and have tried to get this quest from 2 lvl 80's and a lvl 56. I have an up coming Priest thats lvl 24 atm and will try again with that toon when I level a bit more. Anyone have any up to date info on this quests availability?

I just picked up this q for the cooking recipe. If u havent done it allready, u should still be able to pick up the q and get the recipe. Doing the q as I speak.
Good luck to all, who's goingfor the 160 recipes achievement. Am at 156 now, after doing this q, only 3 left to get.

And the q also counts for the seeker title ( 3000 completed quests) and for Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms

I am trying to get the quest & nothing is showing up for me either,so is this like a quest that only shows up every so often or what?

I can confirm that as of today, Darren Malvew does give this recipe as a reward for fulfilling the quest. It shows on the screen but, AT FIRST, it will appear as if you cannot select it.

But I swear on my ol' grand-daddy's grave there ain't no bigger menace to our horses here than them Mountain Lions up in Alterac. Always comin' down from the hills and makin' my life difficult!
