72, 77 -- Dun Garok (Bring a someone along, 30+ Elites)

Captain Ironhill can be found down stairs near the fireplace.

Ok...Did this with a group of 31 Mage, 31 Warlock w/Sucubus, 30 Druid and myself as a 31 Shaman. Pretty easy if you just pull smartly... 4 totem drop worked great as well... Loc @ Coors 68,76.

Do this along with Humbert's Sword (from NPC in grave yard in Tauren Mill... (get Humbert's Sword from a MOB down here...))

Watch out for the Agro when in the basement of the Keep...Easy to die in here!!!

Capt. ironhill can spawn either downstairs in the dining room or upstairs in a barracks like room. I think he was level 34. Thinking he was downstairs, we pulled into the room at the bottom of the stairs, which leads into the upper portion of the dining room. With the right timing you can get 1 or 2 per pull. If he is upstairs then we pulled to the top of the stairs. Its best to clear the room to the left of the capt's room to avoid extra adds when you fight him. Runners can be a major problem up there and will lead to some nice trains if they get away since the space is tight.

Just a warning for some reason I kept getting aggro from up above in the big room with the steam tanks. There were riflemen up there that kept sniping me then would chase down the strairs bringing about 10 of their friends. If this happens to you id suggest running to the opposite side of the room and dieing at the bottom of the stairs as that spot seemed to be safe to res/buff. Dunno if this was a bug or just the fact that riflemen were up there and i was an orc or what but the undead and troll i was with did not have the problem. Perhaps im just unlucky.

34 Orc Rogue, Stealthed past adds Pulled female rifleman behind captain with gun and soloed her, then i cheapshotted boss (scroll of prot and troll's blood elixir on) poped 5 point slice and dice blood fury 5 point eviscerate dual deadly poisons.

He was on top left when looking from front to back go to middle room then up left stairs and straight into the balcony room.

do it solo as 35mage(frost). pretty easy if watch the aggro. just try to pull them by 1. captain ironhill is 32lvl.

As of patch 2.3 the mobs in Dun Garok are no longer elite, so this quest can be done solo at its level.

Ironhill is now in the NW corner of the keep on the upper level with the airplanes

Very easy since 2.3.

I soloed it with a lvl 28 mage with no problems or even deaths.

Do this one with Humbert's Sword: http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=547 Chances are the sword will drop as you get your numbers.

The pulls are now spread apart in the keep since Patch 2.3.0, which means most classes should be able to do this without a group, apart from perhaps Holy Priests or other builds which can't quite manage the DPS to stop the Dwarves from running to tell other NPCs.

Captain Ironhill is a level 32 normal now, easily killed at level 31, he has just over 1000 hp and hardly uses any special abilities.

All three of the quests in Dun Garok (Humbert's Sword, Battle of Hillsbrad 2nd to last part, and Elixir of Agony 2nd to last part) are all easily soloable at level 28+. That hardest mob you'll fight is Captain Ironhill who is level 32, the rest of the mobs are level 28-30.

Solo'd as a 27 warlock. Ironhill was the toughest, make sure to kill the rifleman right by him too.

I just did this quest at lvl 27. lock. didnt use any fear just choose ur pulls carefully slow=alive. void tank just dot the captian void will do most of the dmg. sacrafice if u cant health funnel any more.

I found Ironhill in the very bottom where the 2 stairs empty.
The large fireplace at the far end and stacked barrels on either side.

Just so you are aware, a Rare Elite named Tamra Stormpike may spawn in this building while doing this quest. I will note, though, that his abilities are not unlike the Dun Garok Mountaineers, and his health just seems to be that of about 2-3 of the mobs nearby combined. Didn't hit my level 32 mage for very hard at all.

It actualy gives 250 UC reputation, same as this whole chain. Im doing these on my Blood Elf for mount.

It would seem that with the release of Lich King, Captain Ironhill consistently spawns downstairs by the fire. And he does not aggro unless you aggro one of the mountaineers that stand close by him.

Once you pass level 30, the mobs no longer aggro until you're right up in their face, or one of them runs off to alert the others. But when I had to return with my 31 pally (thanks to not managing to do all 3 quests at once) this place was no longer a challenge as a result, and cutting down the entire place took no effort at all.

Gone are the days where entering this building meant having 5-10 dwarves to kill at once. Now they seem to kindly at the very most aggro in pairs.

Soloed as a 28 undead priest with ease, just needed a heal pot on the captain.

Dwarves aiding the humans? Damn those filthy little beasts.

We shall test the strength of the so-called Alliance. We'll see how anxious those little ankle-bashers are to help the humans once they feel our wrath. We know exactly where their stronghold is in this territory.

They have established a barracks in southeastern Hillsbrad along Thoradin's Wall called Dun Garok. The final mission of this battle is to lay siege on Dun Garok, <class>. Captain Ironhill, their leader, must die.
