Both remains are in the same room as the doctor, just off to the side. Looking back on it now, I can't believe I missed them.

You have to complete all three quests to get the Major Mana potion and Transmute water to Air recipes. It is very worth it.

However inorder to complete all three in one swoop you need a group that is willing to back track to let you turn in the quest and about 4 hours of time. If not you'll have to run scholo 3 times to finish.

"The Butcher" sounds like a Diablo 1 reference, the first boss to me.

If you're looking to do this quest, be aware that just selecting "Low Level Quest" tracking is not enough. You actually have to talk to Eva Sarkhoff about a bunch of stuff before the quest will become available. She's just to the right of the Scholomance entrance.

The Butcher's name may be derived from the Russian word for the color red, красный, pronounced "krasnui."

Or it could just be a silly old coincidence.

Well there is one other link between him and the butcher from diablo 1. And that would be the room they are in. Both are are in meaty room with meat hanging from the roof or impaled people on the ground (d1). So thats another thing.

This quest line has been removed since the dungeons revamp in MoP.

Doctor Theolen Krastinov, the Butcher is a rare now. I just ran into him doing heroic Scholomance... the first time i've ever seen him and i've done heroic many times before...

i'm not sure if he was a rare before as part of a quest.. but he is rare now. as of ( 9-9-16 )

I was looking for this rare in Shadowlands. He appears only on Scholomance Heroic. I found him right after Rattlegore. As I turned the corner in the Carver room, he was kneeling in the middle over a pile of flesh. I have a NPC target macro and it only worked AFTER I kiled Rattlegore. Hope this helps and good luck!
