Once you finish "picking" a relic, no matter whether you looted it or not 2 lvl 54-55 Highborne will spawn and attack you, regardless of how far you are.

If you pick up the relic and immediately mount and ride away you can get away from the spawning spirits most of the time.

let's see... there are some courious thing on the lakes u will easily find them... but after u picked up the relic 2 monsters will attack u

Did this at level 57. I picked all four with no spawns. Did the whole quest without fighting one mob.

Fun time killing the highborne spawns as a AoE-geared Prot Pali. It was so easy, and nice runecloth drops.

Aurora Skycaller can be found at coords (53, 21) or a bit NorthWest of Northpass Tower, in Eastern Plaguelands.

Watch out for the Water elementals that roam around there, they are around lvl 56-58 and they really hurt a lot.
It seems they only pop up under certain condtions. On my druid there weren't any of them, however when my warrior did the part there were a few of them at every relic.

Around the frozen lake in the centre of the map.
First - 55,43
Second - 51,42
Third - 53,42
Fourth - 52,42

Each time i picked on up two suffering highbournes spawned and attacked me. Getting to the relics is easy, for this quest you don not have to kill anything, but you get around 7silver per kill.

I don't know if they changed the timing, but even with auto-loot on, I was not able to get more than 60% through summoning my mount before the adds appeared.

If you summon your mount as you're collecting the loot, you can run away with about 0.5 seconds left before they spawn.

The water elementals show up if Princess Tempestria spawns. More about here at this Wowhead link. They are immune to cold based spells or it seemed that way to me. Only fire and arcane worked on em.

If the elementals are not spawned, this quest is fairly easy to get the goods and get out, if you don't slack around. Mage blink works well.

if yer a preist- cast shield before you trigger them- then its easier to summon horse and leg it

Wow, that was the second fastest 8450 xp I have ever gotten. Just ran to the relics, used them and ran to the next without caring for followers.

Hunter tip: put your pet on stay some away. loot it and run away, cast feign death and done :D no adds

Yeah, quest was easily done. Well.. If you have QuestHelper it is the easiest thing ever. I suggest you all get quest helper, on the most part it rocks.

This quest reminded of a phrase my friends said when B.C. just came out because all of the water elementals spawned right after i got my first fragment "Its like trimming <Area> hairs" because at first it was real easy then it got real annoying quick. if the elementals are spawned i suggest trying later. btw i was a 54 hunter with the lvl 51 ice arrows and mark/survive talents with a wind-serpent as a pet.

Another way to avoid the spawning spirits is to open up the fragment, but not loot it. Reopen it and the spirits shouldn't spawn.

Might be important to Tell people that if you are ine a group you'ill have to Leave group or have the loot to Free for All in order to do this quest or you'll be picking for ever with no loots at all.

Watch out for Princess Tenpestria (Tempestria) lvl 60 Elite..she has 3 guards...all elementals. She wasn't there the first time I did this quest on a diff toon, but this time around she was there...

As a level 55 fire Mage, I had a very hard time with this one. There were more Elemental rooming around than teens at the Mall on Sunday. No matter how careful I was, they repeatedly swarmed on me. Blinking and running didn't help since they were in every direction. All I could do was loot the Relic and try to run close to the next one before I died. Res and repeat. Surely it is not normally this way. I've done this quest with 7 of my other toons and have never had this kind of problem or seen this many Elementals. Good luck to all.

um just for the info i manage to take all 4 fragments without fithing the adds that spown just get the fragment fast mount and run :P u can evade the fithing...

Counts toward Loremaster of Kalimdor, as well do the first 2 and last 2 in this chain, I suggest handing this quest in with The Everlook Report and Duke Nicholas Zverenhoff as they both count towards Kalimdor as well, and can be picked up in Everlook.
