Click on the NPC and then right click on the Mechanical Yeti that's in your bag. Don't follow them! You should get credit right away.

i believe after you do this quest the quest giver will teach you (if you're an engineer) how to make a mechanical pet yeti.

i find this quest funny & easy, but a tip is to get winterspring as your in(heartstone) before start to flying to tanaris, because it takes damn long time to fly whole that way!

Funny quest, always start to laugh when the goblins gettin hunted by that tiny litte yeti ^^!

Using the command /target Legacki,Sprinkle or Quixxil in the middle of the village does really help.

for those who don't have coordinates, to find Quixxil, go up from the entrance of marshall's refuge about halfway, and then turn left and you'll see a goblin there. As ddc0660 said, he is hidding by some green foliage so he'll be hard to spot, if you find a small gnome named Linken, just go a little southwest from there where there are palm trees

BTW DONT destroy the quest item cus u cannot get it back and u cannot hand in the quest, this is from experience, but u can repeat it, luckily.

I just cleared the entire cave to the back, and half the cave going back out. Total horns: 0.

Usually I get them decently fast, but it should be noted that the drop rate is low enough that an unlucky streak makes this an extremely frustrating quest.

Annoyingly, if you scare one of the goblins while you're flagged, the other faction can attack the yeti... you'll still get credit, but the guards will attack you as well as him since apparently the yeti counts as a hostile pet or something.

Found this out the hard way. Somewhat amusing, but mostly dumb.

O.o i was in Everlook for the first person to scare i got credit for it but apparently the guards killed me i dont know if this has any reason to do with "Unfriendly" in BB.....im neutral with Everlook

This is an easy quest with a really good reward.

This is a very easy and fun quest to do. A lot of people no longer go to Winterspring, and hence then they are missing out on a lot of fun. This quest chain is easy experience, fun, unique and has a very cool taste. World of WarCraft and Blizzard done a wonderful job with this quest.

I have submitted several screenshots of the goblins being scared and with their name highlighted in their correct zones. The model there is my level fifty-six druid.

Sometimes I'm not realy sure why but you actualy get attacked by the guards in each city!
I was attacked and killed in gadget and i was friendly with gadget!

Best way is set the thing down and right away you get credit for it then just simply run out of the city!
and you will be fine ive now done this quest on 3 characters and got attacked on 2 of then and on the 3rd i ran
each time and no problem LOL! Not sure what the deal is with it But shoot it worked!

Typing "/target Quixxil" sure did make finding Quixxil easier.

This one SO makes up for the previous 2, which were HORRENDOUS!!! But this one is SO funny, died laughing at them running around.

It's also a nice quest to do alongside the part of the Linken's questline that has you go to Tanaris - you go there, scare a goblin, do the Linken's "upgrading the sword" part, then turn that in and scare another goblin in Un'goro.

It helps that both of these questlines are awesome and hilarious!

As a hunter i found it very easy to find the people to scare just using Track Humanoids. I did the whole quest chain in about 1 hour, mainly because i was very lucky and got the horn quest done in only 6 yeti kills.

There wasnt a ? above Legacki for me... not sure if this is normal or not, but just look for a green girl gnome in the village you got the quest from.

Thanks to strange animation, the yeti runs in front of Legacki, instead yeti must scare her and runs behind her. Very weird animation action :P

But still funny quest!

As an engineer I just made everlook my home and used my engineer porter to port myself down to gadgetzan and flew over to marshall's lookout to do it then hearth to everlook turned it in very easy and fun

Since patch 3.0.3 I think this quest has been dulled down, it's extremely easier and quicker than other patches; can anyone clarify? - I finished the whole chain within 1hr 30mins, so it's likely the drop rate has been raised.

(unless I was lucky, which I doubt - on my mage in another patch took 4hrs to do this whole chain)

yes the quest chain must have gotten better drop rates. i got about a 50% drop rate for the furs and about 25% for the horns.

This quest is alot of fun. In between the huge times to fly go make yourself a sandwich or something. I wasn't attacked by any of the guards, simple quest and great XP.

You can use the item on the targets while they are already being chased by the mechanical yeti. Seeing those little goblins running away from two mechanical yetis is really fun :)

If you get a mage portal to Dalaran and set your hearth there, it saves tons of time on this quest. I didn't realize why Dalaran is a better choice at this level than Shattrath until I found out about the port to the Caverns of Time.

This in probably my favourite quest chain in the game. For some reason I find it hugely funny to see them being chased around. Quixxil: 'Why do you chase me, Mechanical Yeti? WHY?' Genius.

I love this quest. Do it on all my alts despite all the travel involved and the horrible drop rate on the pristine horns.

Legacki in Everlook (Winterspring)
Sprinkle in Gadgetzan (Tanaris)

When you are done, bring the Mechanical Yeti back to Umi.

It's all ready, <name>!

Now, I sent some mail to my friends already, telling them that I have a surprise for them. This is where you come in!

I'm going to give you my mechanical yeti, and you need to surprise them by paying each of my friends a visit, turning the yeti on and sending it towards them.

Once you have shown Legacki in Everlook, Sprinkle in Gadgetzan, and Quixxil in Marshal's Refuge, come back and tell me what happened!

Please bring my yeti back to me then, too.
