This quest has got to be bugged or something because I could not click on the stone or interact with anything around it, after i accepded the quest. I abandoned the quest, re-accepted and still nothing. I spent about 20 mins looking around for different tomb stones and found nothing.

I did this quest as a lvl 54 warrior - there was no problems, just took down the undeads (lvl 50-51) and clicked on the grave, then a friendly ghost came and said "save me" and i was able to take the ring. Then just deliver it to Chromie at coords 39,66 :)

Really easy q, Didn't even bother to look read in the Q-log cause its a group quest and it was orange for me then. I was grinding some mobs in sorrow hill and in the middle of the graveyard i could open a tomb to get the ring, really simple. Something most be wrong about it cause i was lvl 52 and the mobs where only 50-51 (No Elite mobs) so it shouldn't be eather orange for a lvl 50+ guy and deffinitly not a group q.

Yeah, and the strange thing is that the pre-quest Aunti Marlene isnt a group quest either..

FYI: its not the open dug up grave, its the tombstone just SW of it

The tombstone with the wedding band is located at 49,76 and Chromie is located at 39,67

Theres a lvl 56 elite Flesh Golem Patroling the area so watch out.

after quite a few times of asking in general chat for people to help, i decided to solo this quest as a 55 rogue....i just swam across the lake and entered andorhal through the back and stealthed my way into the inn...and killed any mobs in there and got to chromie...rather easy.

im working on this right now, but im not actually working. i was about to start when a gnome on my server, shadowmoon, came along and started killing the mobs around the stone. im a UD rogue so im stealthed and watching him kill the stuff.

About 5 seconds after I looted the ring, in my chat log I got a message:

Joesph Redpath whispers: Save me...

A little creepy, but then the whole idea of ghosts giving quests is creepy too.

The full quest chain for The Battle of Darrowshire:

Villains and Heroes do both need to be completed in order to get Marauders. However, Defenders of Darrowshire (the Uncle Carlin chain) does not need to be completed in order to get to The Battle of Darrowshire.

Even though this quest is given in Easter Plague Lands, the actual area Soroow Hill graveyard in Western Plague Lands. Tombstone is located at 46,76 as mentioned above.. Easily soloed, kill two of the mobs around the tombstone, grab the ring, and you're good to go

I wish Joseph could again be with his daughter, but it cannot be so. His soul was twisted by the Scourge, and he became a monster. Oh, he is doomed!

But perhaps we can change his fate.

Search the graves outside for Joseph's monument. His body's not there, for it was trampled and destroyed years ago, but under the monument is his wedding ring. Take that ring to Chromie... a strange gnome with very strange powers.

Chromie is staying in the ruined inn at the northwest corner of Andorhal.
