This bear wanders around the mountains, so it's hard to give exact coords for him. Look around his page (Click on the Ursius Slain link for Wowhead's listed coords)

Pretty much a basic 56 bear. Mages and warlocks should have no problem soloing. Not sure about other classes, but depending on gear and level, they shouldn't have much problem either.

For those of you without any UI installed, Ursus wanders around the mountains north of Everlook. It may take some hunting to find him, as he wanders around the mountains.

I asked in general if anyone sees him to let me know. I was searching everywhere for him.

A 57 Rogue found him, so me (56 Priest) killed him together. He does it very hard and has about 13k health or something like that.

He was on top of a hill at 61,21.

You best bet in finding him is to start in the mountains just north of Everlook, and run west to the other mountain across the valley. That tends to be his circuit.
Otherwise a fairly challenging elite, both because of his 12k health and 3-400 hits. Like all bears though he is slow and can be easily kited. Watch for adds but otherwise good luck.

Got him on my second try, no potions needed.

I think that mages, locks and hunters can solo this one pretty easily about at lvl 53 :o

I tried to solo him at level 55 (shadow priest). I failed since he resisted 40-50% of my spells. I tried again at 57, and it was cake.. just keep dots on him, use mind blast when it's available, and mindflay when he's far away. Fear was always up when I needed it so there was also no kiting involved.

58, 33 is a great place to start looking like Lurkingsalt said. That's where I found him also.

Kited around solo as a 55 frost mage. Gears nothing special, found him roaming a cliff, wanted to hurry, didn't bother clearing much room. Kiting space wasn't perfect, but the bear went down pretty easy, about 12k health. Kept ice barrier up, used water elemental, simple quest.

The 61, 21 cords worked perfect for me, before I wandered around Everlook not being able to find him.

I just solo'd him as a lvl 56 arms warrior. With some lucky crits and a really good pot, you can do it as a warrior...I recommend you be pretty well geared up as it was pretty hard for me - I had an Epic 2hander and all blue gear with a couple +str enchants.

He as over 10K hp, so have at cha!

For if you don't use coords I would recommend:
What I did was, I made a macro with: /target Ursius writen in it.
and then cruise around north of everlook near mountain tops and you should find him quite easy that way.

I actually found it a pain in the ass to find Ursius. I found him at 58, 31 on my way back to Everlook while giving up trying to find him.

Ursius and Brumeran are no longer Elites as of todays patch, which means its a possibility that Shy-Rotam and her Mate are no longer Elite aswell. I'm not to that part in the quest string yet but will edit this post accordingly if no one else has the info by then.

*edit* Confirmed, Shy-Rotam and her Mate have both been reduced to Non-elites.

As of Patch 2.3 this quest is now available for Alliance and gives you 8450 EXP for completion. (No rep gains)

Found him dead at 62,27. But waiting for more than 10 minutes and it doesn't spawn. Also looking in the area around with no success. This quest pretty sucks.

Took him on my 2nd try. After slaying him, I went to look for him again, to follow him through his trail to see why he is so elusive. I discovered that he actually does a very long walk, from northwest to the northeast hills close to Everlook. He goes from 57.6/32.4, to 64.1/24.8.
Quest says: "He roams the sloping hills to the northwest of Everlook", that's why most of the time can't be found. He goes all the way to hills north/northeast of town.

I found him dead at 61-32 and then about 5 minutes later found him again at 61-32. This might be his spawning point. He was a 56 non elite and I killed him easily as a 53 rogue with out using any pots or cooldowns.

Found him at (62,27) down on the ground. He is no elite since patch 2.3 and remember to look the name of all bears, he looks just like the normal ones.

As a 57 lock I found it very easy, although, he was in a place with a lot of adds. I was looking for one hour. I was about to give up (By that time I didn't care what I aggroed while running to Everlook) When suddenly after I had 5 mobs on me. I found him! I still killed him with those mobs on me, although my VW Died. Very easy for a Destruction Lock

I found him at 61 32, but seriously, its so easy, first its not elite and i dont think it got 12k health.
I first found him with a bunch of bears but i killed one and Ursius ran away, then i found him alone so it was really easy as a 57 hunter...

Did as a lvl 60 hunter. Go North of the Horde FP roughly 59,33. He walks from mountain to Mountain. Watch out for the other Mobs in this area Owlbeasts, Maulers and Yeti's.

I was on here looking to see where he was most likely to be, alt-tabbed back into the game and he was about 20 yards infront of me. Lol.

Found him at 59,33. Fairly easy kill for a level 57 hunter, he isn't elite anymore. I also got two adds from roaming mobs, overall took me about a minute to kill all three, so this quest is pretty damn easy ATM.

he's at the top of the mountain just north of Everlook when i found him. He's no longer an elite, so don't worry. I solo'd with a 55 shadow priest, didn't even get a hit in. Easy to kill.

I roamed a lot to find him so after 20 min what I did was wait around 61.31 while reading some of these comments then I heard a bear attack me, sure enough it was the him. Hope that helps.

After an hour of waiting for him to show up and 61, 21 and 58, something.......I gave up and started walking to another quest......and got attacked by Ursius at 63,27. He's not an Elite, just a 56 and he's dead now.

solod as 56 rogue, confirmed he was roaming the mountians DIRECTLY north of everlook. Killed one bear turned around and there he was. Killed him with 1/2 health, stealth, ambush and eviserate seemed to to work wonders. No problems. Was a pain finding him without coords.

This bear roams vary slowly north of Everlook so waiting in one spot is not a good idea. Vary ez to kill non eliet. looks like all other bears in the area.

Found him at (61,31). I had to kill a few of the yetis and bears for him to spawn. Before that I ran all over the place trying to find him and was getting a bit annoyed. So if hes not there just kill a few bears and he spawns, same worked for a friend of mine. Good luck!

Found him at 63,27 which is at the northeast corner of the mountain to the north of Everlook. He was on the first ledge of the mountainside. Easy kill for a 56 warrior, just like any other bear in the area.

This quest is actually quite easy with any class if you are 54+... I found him at 63,26 and had absolutely no problems.. Just watch out for the aggro on chimera's and other Shardtooth Maulers.

As everyone is saying, Ursius does wander. After running all over the place, I camped at 62,31 and just waited for him to come by. It wasn't long, and I did it solo as a hunter.

Found him at 62,27.
He appears to wander around the mountain at 62.30, just north of Everlook.
This shouldn't take more than 5 min.

Ursius is a level 56 mob, he can be very hard to find because he blends in with the other bears.

He patrols around an area north of the town. Here is wowhead's link to his patrol area: http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=10806

Here are 2 helpful ways to find him:

Make a macro (/target ursius) and click it every few seconds.
Ask general chat every few minutes.

I wouldn't spend too much time looking for this guy it could take you a very long time to find,

~~Ursius~~ is a lvl 56 bear and wonders along the mountaion by everlook! the best way i found to find him is 2 just stay on the east mountain side and wight till he come by!

This quest is easy. While farming out there, I noticed that he re-spawned, and walked past 59.5, 32.4 every 3-5 min. So all you have to do is kill in that area for under 5 min, and HE will come across YOU.
Its that easy now.
I have since tested this about 5 times, and it has always been true.

I found that the best way to find him if you're not a hunter that can track beasts, is to ask a guild member or friend to party with you, ensure you're the party leader, then spam a /target Ursius macro. As soon as he's targeted, mark him with a skull or X, and move your camera around until you see the mark. It appears in front of terrain so it makes it easy. Found him in about 5-6 minutes.

I just tagged Usius coords 61.32 in Spirestone. I was a level 54 hunter and was able to solo even when another mob aggroed during the battle.

This bear is very annoying... stop the wandering! I kept this quest and would walk thru here and there at 62 finally got him above the VE in EVERLOOK on the map (after getting ganked and woke up to him being right there). Got 6750exp. alliance.

Found him at 62,26 walking up the side of the mountain. It took about ten minutes to find him, though. The best bet would be to scour the mountains directly north of Everlook, killing everything in the way so you don't feel like all the time was wasted.

I started at the Flightmaster outside Everlook, I went up to Moon Horror Den from there. A couple feet away from the den Ursius was walking away. Click on every bear you find because Ursius looks like all the rest, pure white. Ursius is level 56 and he is no longer a elite. Very easy to kill but, then again I'm a level 63 unholy Death Knight.

Took me forever to find this guy...I actually gave up and "stumbled" upon him later, when I was not looking for him. Found him at 62.6,31.8. Walking east on the ridge line. If you don't have co-ords, from the alliance flight master it is the first hill you come to going dead north.

Found at 60,32 by dumb luck. Just as I was going to make a macro to target him and ride around for hours looking for his white fluffy ass, he magically appeared and I killed him without taking but one hit. Level 56 Elemental Shaman

I did this whole quest line with a 63 Belf Mage...I did not receive one rep point for any group on any of the quests within this line.

I was trying to raise faction with TB and had the rep bar up with the xp bar - I am sure that I did not receive any rep for it. This could be a bug; I will be submitting a ticket on it. If I hear anything about it, I will update this entry.

Edit: Since Patch 2.3, none of the quests in this line provide rep.

Appears as though spawn point is around 57, 32. I found him dead at this coord, and hardly three minutes later he was walking by again.

I found him walking about at 62, 28. I read other peoples cords and made up a middlish sort of area and thats exactly where i found him :), he looks like a bigger version of the other normal bears wondering around. I soloed a a lvl 54 Tauran Druid. He was easy but had high HP and armor. Good luck!

Ursius sneaked up behind me at 58.5, 33.1 today as I was scanning the countryside hoping to spot him. He was a very easy kill for my level 54 Fire Mage and I'm sure glad I didn't have to search all over for him.

As a 54 hunter with a 53 cat, I had absolutely no problem what so ever with Ursius. He roams around never really in one specific spot. I found him on the top of a small hill directly north of Everlook, walking by himself. Good luck and happy hunting :)

After taking three days to find this bugger, I finally found him. He is directly north of everlook in the mountains. I didnt find him, he found me. I killed him in 10 secs with my Lvl 56 Ret Paladin. Just to let everyone know, he doesn't have 13k health, it has been lowered dramatically to 3400+ though the exp remains the same @ 8450.

1 of the more annoying quests blizz has to offer...I spent nearly an hour looking for him whilst doing other quests at the same time I checked his spawn point, I checked his pathing areas and nothing...I ended up dropping the quest thinking that the stupid bear didnt exist anymore and then when I'm not looking for him...he shows up.

All that have gone up against Ursius have quickly found themselves to be the prey, and he, the hunter. Stay on your guard.
