Just so people don't make the same mistake I did - this guy is elite, even though the quest isn't marked as so.

Turn-in for this quest is at 85.70. You will find her near the broken guard tower in Morgan's Vigil.

What the quest info fails to tell you is which zone Jalinda Sprig is to hand in the quest. She can be found in the alliance camp at Searing Gorge near Redridge Mountains at 84,70

He is immune to fear so QQ your kite tactic.

He's easily soloable as a 53 Frost mage with a little ingenuity; ended the fight at full health and half mana, didn't have to pot or gem at all.

At the start, throw up Ice Barrier and Fire Ward, summon your Elemental, and let the pet aggro. Stand as far back as possible, pop Icy Veins, and go to town on him until you pull aggro off the elemental. Keep nuking until your Fire Ward and Ice Barrier are both down, then Ice Block. Pyron will run back to the elemental; when he's far enough away, click off Ice Block and finish him off.

Same strategy works for pretty much every elite that's immune to snares for Frost mages, so keep it in mind once you get to Outland.

He's right outside the instance near one of the walls. He's a big orange fireball (looks like an orange voidwalker).

Easily soloed as a level 50 Draenei ench shaman.
Fire resistance totem, grounding totem to avoid his fire novas and rest is just mainly Stormstrike, Earth shock, lesser healing wave, stormstrike, earth shock, lesser healing wave... as Draenei I popped Gift of the Naaru somewhere in the middle of the fight also.

Don't forget to change Flametongue wep if you're using it beacuse he's immune to it.
Worhtless to use Lava Lash aswell.

Okay, I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but after dying on the first attempt at this quest, my body (ghost) appeared at the graveyard at Thorium Point in Searing Gorge. What the...?

Who is the moron at Blizzard deciding these things? Lame, lame and oh yeah....LAME.

Super Easy way to kill him as a warlock is to use an infernal against him. The infernal is immune to fire damage, and thus all his attacks. Killed him at level 50 without getting hit at all.

The last five of my mages that went snooping around in Blackrock Mountain came back extra crispy with a permanent orange gnomefro - or worse.

<Jalinda picks up some ashes from the ground and releases them into the air.>

One nasty bugger in particular, Overmaster Pyron, seems to be causing quite a bit of trouble. We need that elemental terminated so that our expedition crew can make its way into Blackrock Depths!

He guards the entrance at the Blackrock Quarry.
