Does anyone know how to get this quest? Do you have to have your Cooking to a certain level? I have this on one toon, but I can't get it on the other.

The drop rate for this quest is TERRIBLE. Be ready to spend quite some time on it - at least for my priest, I spent a good 45 minutes before the boar intestines dropped.

The drop rate for the Boar Intestines seems very, very low. One of my alts found that the boars in Westfall dropped this item at a much higher rate, and mailed some to the alt with the quest.

all 3 can be found just north of the village 35,35 with good drop rates. lv. 10-11 boars and spiders and lv. 11-12 bears can be found... kill the lower lv. if you're having trouble, drop is still good.

the drop rates for the boar intestines are around 32% while the bear meat is 39% and the spider ichor is 35%. So good luck!

I got the spider parts and bear parts within 10 minutes and dinged while doing that. i spent the next hour getting the boar parts, and in the process gained 75% of the next level.

Whilst the wowhead droprates probably differ, the drop rate off about (lol, an hour... ) whilst doing the kobold quest Rat Catcher, which also has a rubbish drop rate.. one my mobinfo shows

Boar Intestines (Mountain Boar) 33%
Spider Ichor (Forest Lurker) 40%
Bear Meat (Elder Black Bear) 38%

Also ended up killing other mob types such as bears etc, got no drop from those.

Johnnywojclckl helped me out allot, this is what he said: "All 3 can be found just north of the village 35,35 with good drop rates. lv. 10-11 boars and spiders and lv. 11-12 bears can be found... kill the lower lv. if you're having trouble, drop is still good." However (35,35) has hardly any bears I would instead recommend that you go to about (42,65). Good luck!

picked up all items off AH when i went back to Ironforge to train. All for under 25 silver

You can just go to some inn in SW. Ask a guard for the cook trainer and theres a "master of recipes"

There seems to be a glitch in 3.1.3 now. The boars, bears and spiders don't show the quest items when you hover the mouse over them. For the longest time I kept looking for the right ones, only to find by accidentally a boar that it WAS the right one.

After killing at least 20 of these things and not getting even one good drop, I went to the AH and got double what I needed for the entire quest for under 25 silver. That is definately the way to go on this one.

Incredibly long and boring quest. It really got on my nerves when I killed my ~20th boar and I got my 2nd intestine, so I just abandoned it. You should win 2 levels anyway while doing this so the XP reward will seem useless afterwards. Skip this.

I have all the matts, 3 Boar intestines, 3 Bear Meats and 3 Spider Ichors, and can't complete the quest, what is the malfunction? The questgiver has the "?" over their head, but the "continue," bar on the quest window is grayed out, what am i missing?

The quest was removed from the game with the Cataclysm patch. You can still obtain the recipe from Kendor Kabonka, the vendor in Stormwind.

There's never a shortage of empty bellies here in Thelsamar, kids running in and out, workers from the excavation coming in after a hard day's work. We're famous for our blood sausages, I don't suppose you've ever tried them?

No? Well, around here you've got to work for your meals, and don't think just because you're a fancy <class>, you'll be any exception.

All I need is bear meat and rest is all in the preparation. You get me some of those, and leave the cooking to Vidra!
