the location is 26, 52 to begin to kill, is just south of feathermoon. You will find 4 type of naga:
HATECREST SCREAMER (can silence and heal) : hp about 1500
drop rate 4% 1/25
HATECREST WAVE RIDER (warrior) : hp about 2100
drop rate 15% 2/13
HATECREST SIREN (does nature damage and heal) : hp about 1700
drop rate 0% 0/12
HATECREST WARRIOR (warrior) : hp about 2400
drop rate 4% 2/48

Kill the Naga, they drop from them.

Yes, they drop from the Hatecrest naga. However! Be ready for grinding at least an hour! The drop rate is #¤&&/! I got my fist scale after the 15. kill! I'll say it again! Drop rate is VERY low!

Okay.. Forget what I wrote just above. Instead. Go to the Isle of dread and kill the nagas on the shore! They have a 1-3 drop rate!

This was a easy quest for my 49 Mage. They are indeed at Isle of Dread just south of Feathermoon Stronghold. They are in their mid 40's casting frostbolt, The drop rate was very good at 75% (From what I got).

I did the quest in the zone around 26.64.

These were my drop rates (Gathered by Mob Health addon)

Hatecrest Naga Scale
Dropped by 4 mobs:

Hatecrest Screamer 67% (4/6)
Hatecrest Siren 100% (3/3)
Hatecrest Wave Rider 100% (2/2)
Hatecrest Warrior 50% (1/2)

I believe the drop rates haven changed, but maybe I was just lucky.

The screamers cast silence for 7 sec in about 10yd radius, so casters, keep away

Screamers do 10yd silence
Warriors do disarm
Wave Rider do Geyser (knocks you back a bit and slows movement speed by 50% for 4secs)

Just kill the Hatecrest on Sardor Isle. Piece of cake. Pretty decent drop rate.

The Siren's tended to drop most for me, each one dropping one unlike the Warriors, they dropped about every 2~4 kills.

Went over to Isle of dread, killed at least a dozen, no drops. Went back to the ruins.... first 2 kills where a drop. They may not drop anymore on the Isle of dread.

I had a 40% drop chance on the warriors (4/10) and a 50% drop chance on Screamers (6/12). I did this quest on level 40 so Isle of Dread wasn't really an option but it went fairly quickly with a 45.454545% drop chance overall =)

i would suggest killing hatecrest screeamer 100% drop fairly easy kill

The best course of action at this point is to assume that, regardless of what the naga are up to, they will eventually move to secure the island for their own. We need to take aggressive steps to counter that threat before it is too late.

Bring me ten Hatecrest Scales that are in good condition; it should be obvious to you how to acquire them. You'll cut your teeth on the naga for the first time, and we'll have a weakened naga presence on Sardor Isle - both are prospects that play to our advantage.
