Ol' Snooty is a lvl 20 bear in a cave at 37,62, the climb to his cave starts at 40,67. A lvl 17 Mage and Priest had no problem with him, just make sure you clear around his cave 1st.

Managed to solo this as a level 19 Priest in all green gear, really wasn't as hard as I expected. Good luck!

Note that this mob can take very long to respawn, I waited about 20 mins, standing at the cave and occasionally checking the path up there, before she spawned - during which time the Black Bear Patriarch in front of the cave had respawned 6-7 times. When she finally appeared she came walking up the path to the cave, so the spawn point must be either random or somewhere down the path.

Easy kill for a lvl 20 warlock. Strangely enough, after I killed her she was back in a few minutes.

Easy as rogue lvl 17lolol started with some dps.. expose armor and started kiting him with gouge > shoot > same again

not that hard solo able as a lvl 16 warlock. Just remember to clear the area. Imp, fear, DOT

Killed her as a lvl 18 Pally, but it was really close. Used Hammer of Justice, Divine Protection and another Hammer of Justice to get heals off. Took me two tries, the first time she resisted a HoJ and killed me.

If you are a druid you can hibernate him, recover, hit, hibernate, recover and so on. (Very easy)

Soloed as a level 18 priest.

Buff up and shield before the pull.

Wait for mana. Smite, mind blast, SW:P, wand. Heal each time you reach about 250 health. Continue wanding. If you have a lot of mana, scream+shield+renew+SW:P and wand.

tried Foozah's method, died twice. Ended up doing this:

Make sure full mana and health (duh) and buff up. Don't need scrolls, but they are useful.

1) Smite and MB before he gets to you.
2) Shield
3) SW:P
4) dance backwards/sideways out of his way
5) MB
6) Shield

7) keep moving out of the way, MBing and renew SW:P and Shield when you have spare mana.

Always heal before you hit 250 hp. He takes health off FAST. And make sure you have at least one health potion for if you time things wrong/go oom.

Found the climb up harder than the kill itself. Easy solo lvl 16 hunter pet was on like half health. :P

the bear is in cave just below thelsamar. i di as a 16 priest and never died once. it took me twice to do (i had to run away first time). he resides just outside cave.

soloed with my lvl 16 warrior, not too hard use shield wall (100% block), revenge, heroic strike and so on just to be sure you kill him hold a healing potion with you, i didnt use it but just in case

it's really easy im a rough, and i killed him at lvl 17 all i had to do was:
stealth
garrote
dodge chnse 50 %
50%speed
sinister strike 5 times
and f last evicerate
four roughs it's really easy

I don't suppose you'd be interested in a little payback for His Boldness? Daryl does have some skill, it pains me to say.

A year ago, a large bear had been the target of the Farstrider Lodge, but none of the hunters had any luck with him. So, Daryl thought he'd try his hand against him. All he had to show for his effort was that ugly scar over his eye.

Kill the bear, and I'm sure even Daryl would be speechless for once.

The bear, Ol' Sooty, can be found around his lair in the cave to the north.
