This quest refers to "the cactus garden", which is a little bit vague, but actually refers to Thistleshrub Valley, around (29,62) and points south. It's located near the entrance to Un'Goro Crater. It does take some kills to get one of the required filled glands.

You should pick up the Thistleshrub Valley quest (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=3362) in addition to this, since they pair nicely.

The quest item had a horrible drop rate for me. I swear I took on about 30 something Dew Collectors till I got this. I got nice XP off of grinding them though.

52 shaman- i grinded 18000xp, only killing the collectors, before i got the Laden, i was not rested.

Found quite a couple of those Thistleshrub Dew Collecters at 28,63. The drop rate isn't that awful, I got it after my 5th kill.

Should definitely do with 'Thistleshrub Valley' because you will be surrounded by the Gnarled Thistleshrubs and the Thistleshrub Rootshapers which you need to slay for that quest.

This quest took forever to complete for me I guess I was very unlucky and very bad drop rate. You have to kill the Dew Collectors, I just kept circling and weaving in between the other guys to kill them.

I have been doing this quest for over 45 minutes now and the drop rate is so horridly awful. All I seem to be getting is EMPTY Dew Glands.
Great experiance for my 46 Hunter though!

took about 45 minutes to complete but make sure to pick up thistleshrub valley quest as its in the same place so overall this is a good quest and 45 mins solo isnt bad eh for 2 quests :)

I agree, this quest is actually very easy...I'm a 44 balance druid and i had not too much problems.As long as your carefull this quest iseasily solo-able.....the drop rate is actually not too bad tho, however i do think alot of ppl just get bad luck.These guys are lvl 47-48 (Dew Collectors) altho there are lvl 48-50 creatures around them.I also think ppl over-exagerated with the fact that these guys are scarse in numbers....u find one about every 2-3 creatures...and they drop nice stuff. btw..those coords are correct :)

I went there twice;(Ivl 45 hunter) the first time i killed 10 or so and got nothing and the second time i went with a friend (52 warrior) and we killed 3 or 4 and got it, this in my opinion can be the most time consuming part of the "noggenfogger" series of quest (other than the time it takes for flying to your desinations)

Alright, I've never been this frustrated doing anything in WoW before but this quest is killing me. I can solo these guys like nothing else but they won't drop the stupid Laden Dew Gland. I'm 100% sure I'm killing the right type of guy and that I have the quest. Ive been here for about an hour and a half killing things and am on my 100+ kills -_- still working on getting it....

Either I've must been extremely lucky (which I hardly ever am) or Blizzard did something about the drop rate, but I only had to kill one Thistleshrub Dew Collector to get the drop.

Actually, i got this on my FIRST kill. Went down to 30,62 killed the first Dew Collecter (Make sure you are killing Dew Collecter's) Escorted Tooga and happy xp. Level 45 shaman

My thoughts are that Blizzard upped the drop rate for this.

Thistleshrub Valley, (referred to as 'The Cacti Garden,') is in the bottom Southwest corner of Tanaris, also being the place where you get from Tanaris to Un'Goro Crater. It's a good quest to do with "Thistleshrub Valley," since the Thistleshrub guys that you need to kill are there. You can get "Thistleshrub Valley" from Tran'rek in Gadgetzan. I got the Laden Dew Gland on my 12th kill, but it only took me like 10-15min to do this quest and "Thistleshrub Valley". It's pretty easy, just time consuming----like those essay questions! XD

The drop rate for this quest is pretty low. There is a big plus to having someone with you for this quest. The previous coords are good, but you will get done much faster if you have someone with you.

I was done in 10 minutes once I teamed up, and had been there for more than 30 before.

I have to say that this is one of the wost drop rates for a quest item I have seen. I have killed around 50-60 and still has not dropped. The only reason I am sticking around is at 47 the xp is decent and I am almost 48.

Well, after reading the comments I figured I'd be there a while so I tired out some different attack combinations, some macros and even had a bit of a melee. Boring but at least I knew that in advance. I was beginning to think there was some trick to this that I just didn't get.

I read on thottbot or somewhere to wait until the Dew Collectors actually "collect" the dew, but I followed one around for about 6 mins & he stopped near one of the cacti for several seconds so I figured that is what the person meant by "collecting" the dew & it didn't drop a dew gland. So I think it's safe to say, it's just a REALLY lame drop rate!

You are not going to like me very much but I went back to Tanaris today (to help a friend out in Zul'Farak) and decided to do the "Noggenfogger quest". First kill got me the quest item :D Not saying the droprate isn't bad, just that I had a lot of luck I read now :)

it's also set for group loot, so the more people you bring to help you kill them you'll all get one :D

I don't know how many I killed to get this, I decided to stop counting around 30 or so. I just know it took me forever to get the gland. I remember last time I tried the quest (about a year ago) it took me about that long. I was hoping that the drop rate was better, but it wasn't. Hope that you are a lucky one. On the bright side of things, this is a great way to grind xp if you happen to be unlucky.

This quest leads to "Noggenfogger Elixir". I would strongly recommend you to do this q.

Btw, the dropchance for the "Laden Dew Gland" is very low and you migth need to kill plenty of the dew collectors.

I got it after probably 15-20 kills. They taunt you with drops like 'Punctured Dew Gland' and 'Empty Dew Gland' along the way so be prepared.

Yeah the drop rate is horrible, had to kill 40 just to get one.

This quest aint funy but try do it whit http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=3362 almost same qst but not the same mobs tho. On this quest The thirsty goblin u will have to kill pretty much. For my i think the Laden Dew Gland dropped of the 15 mob. I guess i was unlucky and hope u will get it faster then me but im glad couse i dinged when i did this qst.

Btw this is the chain that will get ya Noggenfogger Elixir that will grant you : Costume Skeleton. or making u smaller or grant u Slow fall for 10 sec! Gl & HF!

I say i got it on about the 25th kill. somewhere round there.. just listen to some music or turn on the tv while u watch the time will fly by.. or else u will get very frustrated and end up giving up

There's a safe spot at approximately 30.69 63.33 where you can sit and 3 Thistleshrub Dew Collectors will spawn in front you within a step or two of spellcasting or ranged weaons.. 2 directly ahead and 1 slightly to your left on a small hill. The ones in front may get adds from wandering mobs, but the 1 to your left will not. Their respawn time is about 3 to 5 minutes.

YES! I've finally gotten it after my 40+ Dew Collecter! I multibox my main and I clear one side completey, then do the rest. Darn thing took me 20-30 minutes!

Drop rate SUCKS, i spent half hour to get this one.

You can also do a quest with a turtle there, but be careful, only accept it if you already finished the Thirsty Goblin... because it got a Timer, 30 minutes.

Such an easy chain! Even as a 45 fire mage I was able to do it. Killing the Thistleshrub Dew Collector's was easy, as I hid in corners and pulled them over to me to kill. It takes about 20 or so kills to get the Laden Dew Gland but once you have it the quest gets easier and easier! I recommend, definitely because you get the Noggenfogger Elixir :)

I got it from the first kill. Its easy to do even for low level characters, the mobs arent strong, they haven't use spells, so go on, its worth to do!

For me, I wouldn't say that droprate haven't gotten any better, yet it must have been my lucky day, I got it after 6th kill.. or was it 6? No idea, but sure it was under 10 kills before I got it.

BTW, I think this is a reagent for the Noggenfogger but he doesn't want us to know. I mean, come on. He is almost next to an inkeeper, I am on a Mage but he wants a... Laden Dew Gland from plant dudes!

You just have to talk to "Sprinkle Noggenfogger" and buy them!
