Great Quest but to be Lvl-30 and complete is going to be a challenge without help. Eliza spawns and after a few hits she summons 3 guards to help her. I've Killed Eliza and NOT all of the guards. I drew them off and went in to get the drop. could not loot until all guards were dead too. Had 2 other help and it made it seem simple.

sorry for the noob question, but i am a newbie.. do i need to group with someone who is on this q or can i do it alone ?... or is it ok to group with someone who has completed the q or not doing it, if i cant do it alone ? and is this same for all the group tagged quests ?.. and i really wonder what is the probability of receiving an answer to that question on this site ?

As a level 31 shadow priest this is not gonna be a walk in the park to solo. She is no crappy low healthed "rare" elite spawn, she's just as tough as an elite you encounter in instances. Like said she spawned 3 regular lvl 28 skellies which are immune to fear. She also spams frostbolts. Graveyard is near thu :)

The bride is located at 28.30, right behind Abercrombie's shack. It's a tough solo, but you can DPS the embalmer and let the adds kill you, and loot after you rez (the adds will be gone).

I managed to kill Eliza and then the adds killed me. When I came back, she was still there to loot, but when I resurrected, she was gone. So I couldn't get it done. Did this twice (after reading the comment above I wasn't sure) and it happened the same. Then my equipment needed to be repaired so I left. :)

Ok this time I had a little help of a friend. I started with Eliza and when the adds appeared they didn't go after me but they ran towards the house. So I managed to kill Eliza, and then quickly take the jeart cause they came back. They killed me and then they went back to the house. After resurrecting I noticed that there was a 23lvl paladin there. But, I did it!

Is there any prequest for this one? I've just changed from Horde to an Draenei Priest so i dont know that much about Alliance quests :)

As a level 33 shadow priest, I believe it's possible to solo Eliza. I (as a level 33 shadow priest) was able to bring her to around 80% health, before a random Shaman jumped in to help and finish her off. But, to be honest, I did not need any help.

Here is the synopsis of the strategy I used:
1) Run a little distance from grave after opening.
2) Shackle Eliza.
3) Mind blast Eliza.
4) repeat step 2

Here is the strategy in a little more detail.

As many people have already mentioned above, Eliza does two things: She will cast frostbolt / frostnova and during the encounter she will summon three undead guardians, whom I believe are level 29.

Because she will try to frostbolt you when you are out of melee range, the basic idea of my strategy was to cast a direct damage spell on her, then immediately shackle her before she can finish casting frostbolt.

The shackling has the affects of interrupting her spell casting, allowing you some time to regenerate mana, and preventing her from summoning her undead friends.

That's basically all there is to it. When she's shackled, she can't summon her friends. When she's casting frostbolt, she can't summon her friends.

A few things to note. You want to cast a quick damage spell, like mind blast or smite. If you mind flay, you will probably not have the time to shackle her before her frostbolt finishes casting. You also don't want to use a spell like Shadow Word: Pain, for obvious reasons (You are using shackle!). You also probably want to wait for the "Five Second Rule" http://www.wowwiki.com/Formulas:Mana_Regen#Five_Second_Rule to fade so that you regenerate some mana. Else, if you decide to spam shackle / mind blast, you run the risk of running out of mana.

for warlocks take adds with voidwalker ( he has AOE taunt)
while VW takes adds, kill Eliza
keep tracking hp of VW ( if he is really low just sacrifice him +500dmg-absorb shield and DPS Elize)

I soloed this as a 28 shadow priest by using the terrain -- specifically, by jumping from the nearby cart onto Abercrombie's shack as soon as I opened the grave. Once you're on that building, the adds will completely ignore you, and it's just a shooting match with Eliza. After she was dead, the adds despawned within about ten seconds.

Killed her as a 28 ret paladin. Nuked her, bubbled, potted, 2xholy light and last but not least Lay on Hands - died to adds after but was able to run back and loot the quest item. /yay

I just killed her as a level 27 Fire Mage. I used devilsrobot's strategy of getting on the roof of the shack but I did it after running away and coming back so she didnt know i was there. I then blasted her with pyro/fireball/fireblast and used as many frost shields as i could and used one health potion. I also had to use evocation as I ran out of mana when she was at 40% health. After she died I waited about 10 seconds and the adds despawned and I grabbed the heart. I had only 10 health left when she died too so it was very close.

Note she has a 37% resistance to fire according to MobInfo2 so maybe a frost mage would fare better? I'm not sure.

I did this with my lv 30 tankadin and a lv 25 shadowpriest. I couldn't have soloed this for sure. She loves to freeze you in place and walk just out of melee range. Blessing of Freedom didn't have enough time to recharge before she did it again. Good luck with her. I would recommend being lv 32 if you are melee.

I soloed this as a 33 hunter. Pretty much, I sent my pet on her and kept hitting her with my arcane shot. I took a beating from the guards, but she went down and I ran for the river and had my pet follow. The guards won't follow you into the water. However, if you don't loot her corpse immediately, you'll have to redo the quest. I had to run it twice to get the heart. After you kill and loot her, feign death will work well too. I also used one healing potion too.

Just did this as a 35 feral druid; it took me a couple of tries. I think the best strategy is to just ignore the adds and take out Eliza as soon as possible -- loot the heart for the quest and RUN! I was lucky and only got one guard on my successful attempt, though.

I agree with Lysfara. Solo'ed Eliza using a 38 rogue - after she falls down, the guards are easy. Getting frost stuck is a pain though, used Vanish. Potted once, finished the quest on the first try. ^^ (or maybe I just got lucky :p )

Solo'd her with my 30 hunter and my 30 kitty pet. Had to try several times because her body kept disappearing before I could loot it. I finally decided to loot it right after she died even though the skels got me, at least I got the heart finally and completed the quest.

I should clarify that her body disappeared very quickly even when I lived through her and her guards. Her body had disappeared in less than a minute after killing her that time, so loot her as soon as she goes down.

Have AtLEAST... 1 guy with you, and try to have potions and a healer (if your a lvl 25-30). She has guards, but there not elite. So try to take her guards out first, and then potion, or heal. After that head for Eliza.

Soloed as a 34 holy/disc priest, barely. Nuked her to start, kept shadow word: pain up, put up my shield as often as I could, used my wand and Flash Heal the rest of the time. Had to use a potion and run away to get the adds off me, but I killed her and didn't die! :D

Seriously easy to solo if you jump on Abercrombie's roof. As someone said above, practice jumping from the wagon to the roof a few times before you summon her as it's easy to overshoot and miss the roof. Very easy as a lvl28 Priest, just shield up and spam shadow world: pain, and holy fire, finish her off with your wand if you run out of mana. Then quickly run and grab her heart, shield up, and run from her guards. Never below 75% health, but did run out of mana.

Hah! Nuking her from the roof works indeed. I was able to take her out this way, solo, as a 33 shaman, specced Enhancement (no nuking bonuses). I put down a frost resistance totem and a mana spring and just kept lobbing Lightning Bolts at her. I neglected to keep Lightning Shield up, but I imagine it would help significantly.

I tried a more legitimate approach twice before, but wasn't able to take her out before her three guards took me out.

One odd thing I found was that, while on the roof, if you let up on the damage for a few moments too many, she leaves 'combat mode' and her health and mana shoot back up to 100%. I found this puzzling, as I was still within range of her, but oh well, no biggie. Just let your mana recharge and try again.

Lol... all this work.. with hiding behind the shack or attacking from the roof... This is what to do, just attack her.. die.. come back and res.. then the wait for the guards to despawn!!!! She will still be there and atackable.. just DPS her down. Although she resummoned guards at half health but it was too late for her!!! I'd take dying once over dying countless other times trying other methods posted.

32 Frost mage.. easy once u know what to do!!

well soloed by my 29 hunter by the jumping roof same way.
just keep your pet attacking her,and if the range is close enough,she might now back her health to 100%.All u need to do is just all fire up!

okay this sounds stupid but my friend did it..

when you kill eliza and the guards, DON'T jokingly stand IN her grave. it will trap you and prevent you from moving, then you'd have to kill her all over again

It was quiet easy actually. I done this quest with my level 30 rougue and this is how i did it:
I used ranged weapon to call the guards and kill them one by one, then e used steath and beat the crap out of Eliza! xD
PS: I had to use one healing potion.

Just did this quest today and had a strange bug. It was me (29 hunter) and a 33 Shammy. We took her down along with the guards but her corpse dropped back into the grave. I was unable to loot it so had to take her down again, this time pulling her away from the grave.

Yeah, easy as digging a grave! xD Anyways, I was level 28 Priest. Just stepped up on the shacks roof, like peeps said in above posts. Kept Shadow Word: Pain on her, and then used my wand. Kept me protected with my shield and some heals. Nothing special really, didnt have to use any potion nor "Desperate Prayer". =)

post-patch 2.3 ... only 1 helper spawns. easy as lvl 33 holy priest. Fight her till helper spawns. shakle one, kill the other, kill the remaining one.

Very easy to Solo as a 27 Retri Paladin ( Green gear with Verigan's Fist).

I accepted the quest and she spawned. I ran in and got a Seal of command hit ( 200 ). Then she used Freeze, before she was out of range i stunned her and hited a normal non seal of command 80 hit and then Judge her with seal of command. After she was out of stun i used Blessing of freedom hit her once then Exorcism and bam she was dead.

After that i used bubble then Gift of Naruu and 1 Holy Light and killed the 1 add that spawned during the fight. She didnt have that much health and was very easy overall. So no a level 32 Melee class is not needed.

Solo'd easy as a 28 Frost Mage. I was on the phone at the time, so I did use one health potion. She's a 30 non-elite, and only spawns a single, lvl 28, non-elite helper.

Lvl 29 rogue, decent gear.

Soloed this quest in 3 seconds. I went to her grave, behind abrecombie's shack, clicked the "?" sign and the ghoulish woman spawned, I attacked, and she didn't summon any add etc. She was down in no-time.

This quest is really easy. atleast it was for me :)

If you're a warrior, just pop retaliation to take care of any adds. This fight is cake now that they nerfed it.

solved as a lvl 31shadow priest.. had no problems with it.. she casts frostbolt as said before and spawns a lvl 27-28 minion which is immune to fear...

no problem with a lvl 29 warlock..put my vw on on eliza and dotted her up with curse of agony, corruption, and immolate..she spawned one add, dotted him up and spammed shadow bolt..vw finished with eliza and helped finish her add

I did this as lvl 32 lock with no problems. Sent my VW in to take the aggro from both the guard and eliza. Then put the dots on both of them and used Rain of Fire to finish them off. Probably could have done this as lvl 29 or 30.

Quest is a total joke now ofc, had to be with all the streamlining being done to lvling. Even back in VanillaWoW days you could never get a 'correct' group for this, you usually had to rely on guildies of higher lvl to help you out.

i found her at 28,30 just behind the shack she spawned and when i got her to 1/4 of her life she summond one gard kill her then the gard with eazy as a level 30 paladin

I solo'd this as a lvl 29 pally and it was easy. I just did this combo on Eliza first until she was dead and then her guard:

1. Seal of Crusader
2. Judgement
3. Seal of Righteousness

Also used both Consecration and Exorcism in between. Exorcism helps since she is "undead". Then I repeated with the same steps with her guard. I didn't have to heal at all.

I also used Devotion Aura and Blessing of Might in order to help keep me alive and increase damage.

It also helps if you have already done the rest of the quests in Duskwood. I did all quests but this one and the Morbent Fel. The quests you do give you a couple of Rare Weapons. I used the Crescent of Forlorn Spirits axe against her.

I had to kill Eliza and her single guard 3 times before I was able to loot Eliza. The first two times, she sunk back into the ground even though I had killed her. She was not lootable. The third time it worked. Oddly, tho, I dont seem to have gotten any experience from killing them, although I did 3650 xp upon turning in the quest

I just completed this as a warrior level 30 fury spec. not too much trouble but it was a tad hard because she resisted my mocking blow...Was a fun quest.

REALLY EASY!
At lvl 32 priest. Cast Holy fire, Mind Blast and Smite. You might have to strike her a few times, but Eliza won't have the time to summon anyone... :)

I just barely managed to kill her as a 23 prot warrior. Not much of a twink, just a few greens I got from the AH, no potions..

Shield Block and Shield Bash are enough to keep alive while you smack her with Revenge. The add she spawned got me, but just barely. If you can keep her from casting frost bolt she's pathetic in melee. Nearly killed herself on my shield spike, since I wasn't able to do much in the way of actually attacking her.

Quest description is, perhaps, a reference to a character from japanese anime series "Shaman King", a guy called Faust the VIII. He too had a love of his life called Eliza, and she too died, and Faust too gave her his heart, but she didn`t freak out.

Quest is too easy. I'm a lvl 25 Feral Druid atm and I solo'd it.
Just kill her, loot and then kill the other. Neither are elite, but both were lvl 30.
If you don't loot her quickly though she despawns and you have to fight them both again.
Realy simple though.

Agreed, very easy. 31 destro 'lock, VW tanked her while I blasted her to the Nether. Got just one summon from her; since VW was frozen over near the grave I just drain tanked him and Backlash procced for the final blow.

Pretty easy as a level 27 Ret Pally. I had to use a quick potion though when her guard came along. Really fun quest chain, Never expected the Hermit to be a bad guy. I really thought he just wanted to protect his hut. Haha.

I'm grinding rep & in doing so I'm trying to complete quests that give me high amounts of rep. I just did this quest. When i finished the chain I got 'Reputation with Alliance increased by 500'. I was supposed to get 500 rep for all 5 Alliance factions. I'm so confused. lol Help?

Descrição

The Embalmer is a name told in one of our children's stories. He was a kindly alchemist, driven mad by the death of his wife, Eliza. To restore her, he used dark magic to place his own heart within the bosom of his dead spouse.

This revived Eliza...but it cursed her with a hunger for human flesh, forcing the Embalmer to keep her buried.

His heart is his power. Find his wife's grave, retrieve his heart, and bring it to me while it still beats. Do this and his power will be broken.
