This quest is the pre-req to the chain that gives Rogues the ability to use poisons for the Horde. It leads to

Fizzule is located at 56,6 and he will be ? red to you until you shoot the 2 flares in the air. Once you shoot the flares, walk up to him and use the "/salute" emote on him. He'll then allow you to talk to him and get the next quest:

You'll need a locking picking skill of at least 80 (might as well get 100) in order to complete the next quest, so I would recommend doing the Plundering the Plunderers (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2381) quest to get your skill up to 100 before completing the next quest.

He's not in the hills. He's just south of the hills under a tree.

I stood at 55,5.06.3 facing north. Targeted him under the tree straight ahead and sent up the two flares. Worked fine (lvl 23 Belf)

it makes me wonder....why a DWARF??? we are taking a quest for the horde side and the shattered hands are mostly orcs and trolls...

anyway...the above coords are correct

Coz hes an UNDERCOVER agent :)
btw when i speaked to Shenthul i was supposed to get a follow-up on Find The Shattered Hand. But it said: "You have allready completed that quest!" But it doesnt matter. I got another quest and a bunch of crap-boring quests where i was supposed to make /salute to Shenthul. So if your computer says that you have completed the quest STICK IT UP AND CONTINUE WITH THE OTHER QUESTS!

What do i do now. I did everything except i forgot to get the tower key.

It's been about a month... so i hope you got it already ;) - but for future reference, he is under the shade tree where the 'H' in "THE SLUDGE FEN" is written on your map of the Barrens.

As of 3.0.2, this quest no longer leads to the poisons skill. Poisons are now purchasable through poison vendors and no skill is needed. They are (still) level based.

when my rogue got to 20 i didn't need to do the quest i just bought poisons and used them.

So I'm onl yjust now getting this quest at 80 (cause I was human and switched over so some little quests like this I don't have credit for) and I'm wondering- It says he will "terminate anyone he doesn't recognize"; does that mean an insta-death or can I just nubslap him and laugh?

Just a random bored thought...

Any thoughts?

Weird is. i didn't even have to use the flare or anything i could just talk to that guy immediatly. was that just for me or did any1 else have it too?

I had to salute him twice before he'd talk to me. Fired two flares, saluted once (from some distance) and he turned green, but wouldn't talk to me. Saluted again and he let me finish the quest.

He's Deep Cover on the incognito tip. Yea and you don't stop cause it's 1 8 7 on a undercover cop.

Travel to the Venture Co. Tower, north of the Sludge Fen and contact the Shattered Hand's covert operative, Taskmaster Fizzule.

When the tower is in sight, use the Flare Gun to signal your arrival to Taskmaster Fizzule. Fire off TWO flares, then approach Taskmaster Fizzule and perform the Shattered /Salute.

These actions must be performed in the correct order, as Fizzule will attack and terminate any person he does not recognize.

The Venture Company... Perhaps you have heard of them?

For one year we have worked on planting an agent deep within their ranks. Through much hard work and careful planning, we succeeded.

Recently we received word that the Venture Co. are planning something on a grand scale. Go north of the Sludge Fen to the Venture Co. tower and contact our undercover agent, Taskmaster Fizzule.

When you find the tower, use this flare gun, then approach Fizzule and show him the salute of the Shattered Hand.
