First talk to agent stealthed at 3rd tree north of the tower. She's on the west side of the big tree in front of the two little trees. She will have the yellow "?" above her head. She gives you a book with helpful hints, but I didn't use them.

Then pickpocket the Malformed Lev24 Defias guard for the key. He patrols around the tower and is often alone, just wait for opportunity.

Enter tower in stealth mode.
Up one level is a guard stationed in center of pathway. Try to sneak passed her by walking up on the railing to the right (wait for patroling guard to be away).

Even if you alert her, keep going to the right to next landing up. She will follow but you can easily kill her without alerting patrol guard. Stealth your way passed dual patrol on 3rd floor and make your way to top floor.

Circle around to the right, chest is on floor near desk. Sap the boss, the open chest - take book - make a hasty getaway. Or wait for the boss to walk away from the table. Open the box and then restealth. You can jump to first floor and run out - hopefully no guards patrolling out front, or stealth out again.

The poison is easy enough to cure. As directected talk to Doc in cellar of Barracks. Make sure you type "/lay" infront of him.

Simple wild flowers: Bernard Gump (Fragrent Flowers) - canel dist.
Leaded vial: Poison vendor in Barracks.
Bronze Tube: Engineering Vendor in Dwarf Dist.
Thread: floor of Finest Thread shop canal Dist.

I would like to add that you need to be level 24 to pick pocket the Malformed guard.

This quest is definately soloable at level 20.

First the malformed guy you need to pickpocket. You might have to try a few times if you are level 20 but I can confirm it is doable. Use sprint if he chases you.

Second the tower. Follow the guide above. If the guards are a bit tough, just commit suicide and resurrect at the top of the tower. Next sap the boss and quickly open the box and grab the contents.

now i play on my first char. (rogue ofc) and i didn´t do the poison quest at lvl 20. (didnt take it) Is it possible to take it now? no NPC in SW got it :/ Does anybody know?

/70 rogue atm.

The quest following this one is the one you need to complete for the Poisons ability. After completing Klaven's Tower (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2359 ), you'll be able to craft poisons for your weapons.

You need to have learned and skilled up lockpicking to complete Klaven's Tower. The box you need to open for that quest requires a lockpicking skill of 70.

The easiest way to pickpocket the malformed defias drone is to sap him first, then pick his lil pockets.

Just a note: The Malformed Defias guard, despite appearing undead, is a humanoid. He can be sapped!!! When he stops by the fire, walk to him from behind spamming sap. After you get him sapped, you have all the time in the world to Pick Pocket him.

this can be done at lvl 20 without dying, just make sure your lockpicking is at least 75. if not you can pickpocket some of the guards and they sometimes drop locked boxes.

If there are any lvl 20 Rogues like me who are unlucky and cant pick pocket the dude u get the key from... when you read the journal it tells you that if you ambush him in the back it will make his lungs collapse and it will kill him. I think this is a whole lot easier then trying to pick pocket him then dieing before u can dash off. :)

I just did this quest on my level 20 human rogue. After opening the box I applied "Anti-Venom" to cure the poison... went and killed some more folks, handed in a quest, then flew back to SW, handed in to Mathias, then went to see the Doc. He seems to have done his job, I completed the quest, went upstairs to the rogue trainer, he allowed me to learn Crippling Poison, I opened my spellbook, put the poisons icon on one of my bars... opened it... and I had the ability to create two poisons.

This is post patch 2.4

I'm assuming this means that you are allowed to cure yourself in the tower, and hand-in the quests and will be allowed to learn all poisons. The Doc will cure you still... even if there is nothing to cure :)

It should be noted that you will not be able to stealth back out of the tower so long as you have Touch of Zanzil ( http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=9991 ) on you, which works like Faerie Fire preventing you from stealthing or turning invisible. Though the rogue can obtain a cure from quest givers back in Stormwind, you may also wish to bring with you any sort of anti-venom, or an appropriate level druid friend. The simplest Anti-Venom ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6452 ) is capable of curing this debuff. Your escape from the tower will then go unnoticed.

This is insanely easy when compared to the Horde version where you are required to kill all the NPCs. I simply stealthed up to the malformed drone and picked his pocket. Unfortunately he was at the end of his route when I did it so he immediately turned around and attacked and killed me. That was my only death though. I was able to come back and stealth my way up to the top of the tower where I sapped the only guy up there, got the book from the chest, and quickly jumped to the ground and sprinted away. Piece of cake at level 20.

Make sure you pickpocket the Malformed Defias before you loot the journal at the top of the tower or you will be cursed (and unable stealth or pickpocket)!

If you land in this situation, you can run a short distance to Duskwood and kill some spiders until one of them drops a small venom sac, which you can use to make anti-venom using your first aid skill.

Hrm. For some reason, I'm unable to open the chest at the top, despite having gotten the key from the Malformed Defias outside the tower. Is this quest currently bugged or am I missing something?

Guyz i am a level 31 rogue and i'm still buying poisons! something is wrong i got the key and everytime i opened the box nth but poison i sapped the boss and did everything i should have done but nothing dropped! anw i got upset and abandoned the quest can someone help me where to get it again and show the solution to this problem.

Not a moment too soon, <name>. SI:7 reconnaissance is reporting unusually heavy Defias activity in Westfall.

It would seem that the Defias have taken over an abandoned Alliance watch tower southeast of Sentinel Hill and are using it as a base of operations to smuggle in goods from the Redridge supply route.

Get to Westfall and contact Agent Kearnen for your debriefing. You will find her hidden near the tower.
