Dragonmaw Orcs: 51, 45

Head to Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands and follow the road south into The Wetlands. Follow this road south until you reach the Angerfang Encampment. The closer entrance is the "back door" located at 51, 45. You can always use the main entrance at 42, 40 if you wish though. Im not sure if all Dragonmaw Orcs drop the rods or if its just the spell casters that drop them but that was the case for me. It would make more sense for the spellcasters to have them. The drop rate for me wasnt too bad and at level 30 the mobs go down fairly quickly. If you wish you can fight your way to the back of the camp, 52, 53 where a camp of higher level enemies including an elite mob is located.

Pretty easy quest and yes spellcasters are the only ones who drop the rods and the drop rate isnt too bad finished it pretty quick with no problem

While waiting for the spellcasters to respawn, I fought a Dragonmaw Bonewarder and picked up one of the rods. I killed a couple more of the Bonewarders and picked up another rod. So it is not just the spellcasters that drop the rods.

Orcs are not in Arathi!! They are in Wetlands! :)

Horde rules and im still trying this quest i will try the things u guys are going to try like only killing the magic orcs.TY

The drop rate on the channeling rods are about 1 out of every 2 or 3 kills.

The rods only drop off of Dragonmaw Bonewarders and Spellcasters. I had better luck with the Bonewarders as they were the only ones around that I saw going in from the back entrance at 51,45

In patch 2.3.2 the rods drops only from Bonewarders and drop is 100%

umm no the drop rate is NOT 100% u were just lucky. I've cleared the entire camp out and not gotten 1 yet...

Not exactly sure if it matters, but I had a hard time collecting the rods. I killed about 10 Bonewarders without getting one. For the heck of it, I tried to see what would happen if they attacked me first - using this method they dropped every time, three in a row.

Basically, if they said something (like, "Die worthless Orc") they dropped the rod. 49, 44 was where I found the greatest concentration of them.

Be ready to fight some alliance if your on a high population PVP Server, this is a level 20-25 quest area

Can anyone plzz describe where it is in the Wetlands!
I dont have cordinates, and can't find Angerfang Encampment where you say it is.

Basically take the road east from Hillsbrad, follow it to hammer fall and collect the FP if haven't already (being sure to avoid the 3 ally patrol along the road) if got FP, the road forks south n east, take the south pass into wetlands. just follow to the road south like you were to go into the next zone. keep an eye out for Orcs to your right as your heading south along the road, there is the "back entrance" described as 51;54. Confirmed the 'caster' drop them, better chance with the Bonewarders, for me at least. VW in wait a few then hit with reign of fire. CAKE! enjoy

I was going to do this quest today with my lvl 32 Warlock and VW.

it was easy, and i did al the quest for the felhunter with my, at the time, lvl 30 blood elf warlock,and my VW. although it took a while but doing all those quest to get the felhunter was easy, all you just need is the right strategy, and you'd not die even once. now when i play again i'm thinking of mostly getting my tailoring,and enchanting skills up. luckily i jsut learnned how to make a shirt taht boost spirit by one. so ican make so may of those, and dissenchant them so i can get more of the enchanting material i need to actually enchant. also i may try to kill some npcs taht drop recipes for deviate fish cause i can get some good money for those cooked fish. i'll just do some research to find which npcs in the barrens drop them. now i got my fel steed it's not take long for me to hunt them down, lol.
