The Driftwood can be found all along the eastern shores. They dont drop from mobs, but are lying all around the shore to pick up.

The north part of the shore is easy there are no murlocs on yellow crabs I did this quest at level 36.

Um, first thing to know about this quest ... 95% of the wood is in places where there are HUGE CAMPS OF MURLOCS.

Be awfully careful especially if you're a squishy - you're going to die a lot!

That map is WRONG. There is wood all along the shore.
And it's hilarious when you find "sundried driftwood" in the water ^^
Didn't have to visit any murloc camp to complete this q

Edit: The wowhead map has been updated and it's showing correct coords for it now.

Yep dont worry about going into those groups for the wood, just stick to the north side and you will find all you need. make sure you check in the shallow water too!

Quest objects respawns really fast, so you can camp 3 points of spawns if you're lazy.
