This is just going back to talk to the original "Test of.." quest giver... Remember he's in the cave in 1K... You talked to him for the "Test of Faith" quest...

the hammer is worth 1G 12S 62b, the wand is worth 85S 08B.
pretty much a no-brainer which to take :)

All in all this chain quest gives:

17600 xp
500 rep with DsT
500 rep with Org
500 rep with SM
1400 rep with TB
725 rep with UC

Then, too bad that the quest requires level 30. ;)

This might have been changed in some patch though, and it's not enitrely sure that the level req. is correct.

Windstorm Hammer 1H-Mace (Main Hand), was best 29-melee twink weapon because it could be enchanted with mongoose etc. (Horde)
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17039 (Skullbreaker) is better choise for casters. (Horde)
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2044 (Crescent of Forlorn Spirits) 1h-axe, good choise for paladins and shamans. (Alliance)
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2000 (Archeus) 2h-sword, not so good but still tbc-enchantable. (Alliance)

All these items does not require over level 30+ to complete quest, totally completable at 29, some at 28 or earlier.
All of them can be enchanted with TBC-enchants.

The reward hammer is a disapointment... the lvl 28 PvP sword has almost same dps, better stats and is easier to get. The hammer is too fast for a rogue main hand as well...
So I'm sticking to my Legionaire's Sword.

okay the Quests for this item go as follows: if your a twink you need to know this, incase you are close to level capping

1050 1. Test of Faith
2450 2. Test of Endurance
3050 3. Test of Strength
1200 4. Test of Lore
1850 5. Test of Lore
0250 6. Test of Lore
1200 7. Test of Lore
2100 8. Test of Lore
0250 9. Test of Lore
4200 10. Final Passage

17600 exp TOTAL Account for an additional 2-4k for mobs when traveling with a 70 or 2
so 20-21k exp.. if alone.. you face a much higher rate of exp..
The best idea i can give you is to have the person(s) helping you clear the way to the objective with you out of party as much as possible.. making sure not to attack, this means taking off a shield that may do damage to an opponent so that you do not gain exp for someone accidently attaking you, when in the instance.. remain outside as to not get unnecessary experiece, the book you need is on a table.. it requires no fighting on your part.. you may even be able to ask a group who is in SM to simply let you retain the group so that you can loot the book.. this may be a "more practicle" solution if you do not have the resources availible to get a runner.
if you are doing this quest you may want to also think about doing the quests for the marbled buckler as well..

Just a question; Why is Windstorm hammer a Blue(rare) item? I've done all the lore and test quests and i finally got to Final Passage. But the Q reward shows that Windstorm hammer is Green.. :O Are they changing Windstorm hammer to rare in a new patch or..? Cuz atm it has less dps, less str and stam..

This Quest actually gives a reward of a 24 dps hammer with 6str 6sta on it, the wand shown is correct.

I just completed this whole quest line at 25 and 26 with a 70 friend helping me.

For now whole chain gives:

1. 1050 XP
2. 2450 XP
3. 3050 XP
4. 1200 XP
5. 1850 XP
6. 250 XP
7. 1200 XP
8. 5250 XP
9. 250 XP
10. 5250 XP

For total amount of 21.800 XP. Without exp from killing mobs (4k+ I think).

No... no, he won't. There are no other quests from him, for any class at any level.

All quests in this chain (including those picked up and turned in at Undercity) give credit towards the Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement.

Only 1 quest didnt gave me credit for Loremaster of Kalimdor. I think it was the one you go to SM. anyway, it was nice credits for a fair easy quest chain.

Confirmed that all minus one quest count toward Loremaster Of Kalimdor.

One more thing that I haven't seen mentioned here :
If you are already exalted (999/1000) with a faction for which you gain rep in this quest chain, you will be awarded the same amound with another faction -- or at least it seemed that way for me.
Instead of getting rep with UC I was awarded rep with Silvermoon. ( not splash rep, log mentioned rep to Silvermoon directly ).

I really think with these quest chains that at the end it would be better if there was a choice of weapons that would suit each class.

Had a lot of fun with the quest chain, and it was pretty easy too. I'd say it's worth doing it just to experience it, not to mention it's a good amount of xp.

The 500 Reputation with the Horde was also a welcome bonus. :)

I think the 1st quest we're the funniest and easiest quest, then i had to run back and forward all the time, i think running is boring! :S
