You can get the quest from the Druid trainer in Moonglade after you have purchased the 300 riding skill.

I'm pretty sure you can start this quest from any druid trainer in Darnassus, Thunderbluff, or Moonglade once at level 70 with 300 Riding. (Though as a druid, it's probably easiest to use your Moonglade teleport and not waste your hearth.)

You may also pick up this quest from Theridran in Ironforge.

Using the Portals in Shattrath City, you can get to Ironforge, pick up the quest and then either use you Hearthstone or use The Stockade "free hearthstone" trick, to quickly get back to Shattrath City and continue the quest line.

To start this questline, you need to have 300 Riding Skill.
The total reputation gained off doing the quests is 2210 with the Cenarion Expedition.

Items needed for this questline:
5000g for the Riding Skill from the Trainer. (Horde) (Alliance)
10 x Ancient Lichen
10 x Dreaming Glory

Set your hearthstone to the Cenarion Refuge in Zangramarsh. You'll need it for the first 5 quests.
You'll also need to be Honored with Lower City in order to buy the Heroic Key from the Lower City Quartermaster, Nakodu. to do the final quest of the chain in Sethekk Halls : http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11001. So make sure you turn in your Arokoa Feathers to Vekax.

As of patch 3.0.3 (on PTR atm), and with Wrath of the Lich King, you will be able to skip this questline and "only" buy riding 300, and then get the Swift Flight Form from any druid trainer at lvl 71.

Whether or not the questline will remain in the game there's no mentioning of.

Also no mentioning of whether it'll be possible to obtain the trinkets/relics that are granted throughout the quest without doing the whole questline.

Whose dumb idea was it to require the 300 riding? I started a druid after my pally and i was so happy when i reached 70 that i don't need to pay 5k gold for riding because the quest will give it to me just like the 68 flight form gave me the 225 skill. BUT it turned out that I NEED the skill and I have a 70 druid now with 11 golds and I'm QUITE ANGY!:@

You are able to pick up the quest in moonglade. i am a lvl 80 druid and currently doing this chain q'st. u need the 300 skill for the quest however. as many have stated u can get it at lvl 71 witout doing any quest.

most people that do this chain quest line is most likely doing it for the azune mount (the part where druids being able to summon him that is).

Even though patch 3.2 made significant changes to the Mount system, I can still confirm that after buying Artisan Riding for 4500 gold (I'm honored with Thrallmar), the Druid trainer in Moonglade still hands out this quest to any level 70 Druid.

I highly recommend doing the quest, because Class quest are usually the best quests in the game, and of course, able to farm down Anzu for the awesome mount.

I had probmels get this q from druid trainers. So if you have problem too, go to moonglade to LOGNAAR (52,5; 40,5)
For end this q go to ZANGARMARSH to Morthis Whisperwing (80,2; 65,1)

I think it's worth it to mention that if you start this chain and faction transfer before completing it that it will wipe the quest from your log but will not reset the chain. You will need to go back to the last NPC you received a quest from, not the starting NPC.

level 72 night elf druid cant find the quest. now this is some time after soem major patches (to the point where you can trainer learn the spell, with expensive training )X) did they take the chain out now?

As with any class-quest, the experience reward of the quests in this questline scales with your level. If you are still leveling, it may pay off to save this questline until the last level (79 in wrath of the lich king, 84 in cataclysm, etc.) as you will get the same reward per quest as you would for a level-appropriate quest.

For all level 80 druids looking to farm the raven mount:
This guide will walk you through the entire Swift Flight Form quest chain and explain how to solo Anzu.
What you'll need to complete the quest chain:

Riding Skill of 300

Honored with Lower City

10 Dreaming Glory and 10 Ancient Lichen

A PvP trinket is helpful but not required

1.
First things first. To start the quest chain cast your handy Teleport: Moonglade spell and talk to Loganarr. He'll give you the quest Morthis Whisperwing. Travel to the Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh and talk to Morthis. He's standing on the rim of the moonwell.

2.
Upon turning in your quest to Morthis he will then offer you The Ward of Wakening. Hopefully you already have your 10 Ancient Lichen and Dreaming Glory. If you don't, buy some off the Auction House. The remaining herb, Bogblossom, is found on the tops of the large mushrooms growing all over Zangarmarsh. There is a chance when opening these that you will be knocked back and receive no loot. If this happens just shift into Flight Form to avoid falling damage. It is also worth noting that, like most objects, these can be opened while in Flight Form. Once you've got your 10, return to Morthis at the Cenarion Refuge.

3.
The next quest you'll receive is Waking the Sleeper. Port back to Moonglade and make your way to the Stormrage Barrow Dens in the Southeast corner of Moonglade. You'll find Clintar Dreamwalker sleeping in one of the smaller dens. (75.5, 67.1).Wake him up and accept No Mere Dream when it becomes available.This quest is an escort quest that takes you and Clint around the small den to gather 3 relics. At level 80 the mobs you'll encounter are trivial. After Clint acquires all 3 relics he'll lead you to Dreamwarden Lurosa to turn the quest in.

Lurosa will have you Return to Morthis Whisperwing after you turn in No Mere Dream. Get back to the Cenarion Refuge and accept To the Evergrove. Fly up to the Evergrove in Blades Edge Mountains and talk to Arthorn Windsong. Arthorn will give you The Book of the Raven. Fly over towards Ogri'la and kill an Aether Ray for its Eye. It's a 100% drop rate as long as you have your Seer's Stone in your bag. With your Aether Ray Eye in your bags use your Seer's stone to gain Aether Sight. This will allow you to see the ghost of Sai'kkal the Elder and other Ancient Raven-Priests, however while you have the debuff you will take constant minor damage. Just heal through it until the debuff is gone. Sai'kkal has a slightly different model than the Raven-Priests so look carefully. Once you find him speak to him a few times until you complete the quest objective then fly back to Arthorn to turn it in.

5.
Arthorn will then send you to Watcher Elaria in nagrand for your next quest, To Catch A Sparrowhawk. Once you've got the quest, just use your Sparrowhawk Net on a Sparrowhawk flying around the plateau and turn it back in. Elaria's next quest, The Raven Stones, takes you to Skettis in Terokkar Forest. Once you've reached Skettis, walk around the bank of the lake and use your Whistle when the cooldown is up. It will summon a sparrowhawk to locate a Raven Stone. Once the sparrowhawk lands it will attempt to find a Raven Stone. If it does it'll fly over and uncover it for you to loot. Grab 8 of them then fly back to The Evergrove in Blades Edge Mountains and talk to Arthorn.

The next 3 quests are all very similar and can be done very quickly. The first one is The Eagle's Essence. Fly back to Terrokar to (46.5, 45.0) and interact with the statue you find there. You'll have to kill a Guardian to loot the item you need. You're level 80; blow it up and loot your Essence of the Eagle. Blow on your Whistle and wait for Arthorn's Sparrowhawk to land so you can turn in the quest and accept the next one. The Falcon's Essence is the same deal. Fly to (60.6, 60.0), activate the statue, blow up the Guardian, loot the Essence and blow on your whistle. Do this one more time for The Hawk's Essence, the statue is at (45.7, 93.2) on the floating island south of The Bone Wastes. Only this time don't blow on your whistle, fly back up to The Evergrove and speak with Arthorn in person. Then go speak with Morthis at the Cenarian Refuge to complete Return to Cenarion Refuge.

Accept Chasing the Moonstone then teleport to Moonglade. Use the Flight Master in the Southwestern corner of Moonglade to fly to Azshara. The Moonstone you're seeking is around (13.0, 48.3) Before you loot the Moonstone make sure you equip a PvP trinket. If you don't have a PvP trinket, the Glyph of Aquatic Form Is also helpful. Here's why, As soon as you loot the Moonstone you will be stunned for 9 seconds and Rizzle Sprysproket, a female goblin, will steal the moonstone from you. She'll then proceed to jump into the river below you and starts swimming south. Trinket the stun as soon as possible and jump into the water after her. Shift into Aquatic form and chase her down. She'll give up if you get too close to her; once she gives up all you have to do is talk to her and tell her to "Hand it over". Assuming you don't have a PvP trinket and have to endure the stun's entire duration you'll have to dodge her mines as you swim downstream. The mines will either knock you out of aquatic form or freeze you in place. If you get rooted just shift out of it. Also there will be several "speed boosts" you'll want to get. they'll increase your swimming speed and help you catch up to to Rizzle. Once you manage to get the Moonstone from her take it back to Morthis in Zangarmarsh. He'll give you the final quest to the chain: Vanquish the Raven God.

Once you've got the quest open Morthis' Materials inside your bag. It contains the Essence-Infused Moonstone required to summon Anzu. The item is treated as a key so it will go onto your keyring, so don't freak out when you can't find it in your bag, check your chat log to confirm you've received it. To complete the quest you'll need the Auchenai Key which requires you to be honored with Lower City to zone into Heroic: Sethekk Halls. At level 80 it's very easy to stealth all the way to Anzu's summoning room. With the exception of the first boss you should have no problem sneaking by all the mobs. You will, however, have to clear the room that Anzu is summoned into. ; it's the last room right before the final boss of the instance.

Killing Anzu as Resto

Once you summon Anzu back off a ways to prevent him from agroing you immediately. You'll be spending the majority of your time either in humanoid form or Bear Form; Tree Form offers zero offense so stay away from it. To start the fight pre-HoT yourself with a Regrowth then cast a Regrowth on the Hawk Spirit to gain Protection of the Hawk which reduces damage you take by 500, then cast another regrowth on the Eagle Spirit to gain Spite of the Eagle which deals 300 damage per second to all enemies in the room. Right before pulling throw a Rejuvenation on yourself.

To pull, cast Starfire followed by a Moonfire then promptly go into Bear Form. Put up Feral Faerie Fire and Demoralizing Roar then maintain a 5-stack of Lacerate while Mauling with your extra rage. When the HoT portion of your Regrowth has ~3 seconds left on it's duration Swiftmend yourself, recast regrowth and rejuvenation, throw up a moonfire on the boss and go back in Bear Form. This will be your basic rotation for fighting Anzu while he's not banished.

Once Anzu goes into the banish phase you'll have a few moments to heal up and refresh Regrowth on the Hawk and Eagle Spirit. The Hawk Spirit provides almost 100% mitigation from the Crows he summons in this phase. Make sure to decurse Spell Bomb from yourself immediately before doing anything else. Once the Crows pile up on you and begin attacking, hurricane on top of yourself until they're all dead. Refresh HoTs on yourself if needed before going back into Bear Form to begin tanking Anzu again.

Make sure you save Barkskin for when you're stunned. The talent Improved Barkskin would help enormously for this encounter. The fight is long, so prioritize your health over dealing damage.

Since there seems to be some confusion:

At this point:
- You do NOT have to do the previous class quests, such as aquatic form (however, you probably do need to pay the trainer for them).
- You DO have to obtain 300 riding skill (meaning pay 5000 gold) before the quest will be offered to you.
- The quest is NOT mandatory to get epic flight form, which can be purchased from a trainer. Do it for the fun, rewards, and the ability to summon the raven boss for his rare mount drop.

While I was certain I wanted to do this quest line when I could afford the flying training, I'm glad I bought the actual 280% form before I began. There is an enormous amount of flying around involved, and a lot of going AFK whilst flying in a straight line towards Evergrove/Zangarmarsh/Nagrand.

But in the end, the swim chase was one of the most fun things I've done in WoW to date and the Anzu fight is fun when soloed :)

If you are about to start this quest series, beware!

You are going to wish you would have bought a regular ride for 300g.

This is assuming of course, you are level 70 or close to that and had the 5000g available to get it started. If you are an 80... then well... it will be too easy.

This will consume a couple of hours of your time. Lots of flying back and forth. Depending on your spec, lots of dying. Just follow the advise given. It was all proven valuable when I did it at 70, but it is still took a very long time, was pricey, and required lots of patience.

Corrected, he's in a cave inside your garrison and gives out a quest to head to Gorgrand.

Not sure what's happening here, but I went outside my garrison today to pick up a Blingtron 5000 package that was announced in the trade channel. On my way back to my garrison, inside it's own zone, I noticed a faded yellow exclamation point. It was located outside the front gate to the left near a large tree and a cliff face. When I moused over the exclamation point, it read Morthis Whisperwing. Curiously, he was either underground or way up in the air, but the quest marker was distinct and clearly visible. After checking the wowhead database, it said that he no longer gives out any quests, and that he belonged in the BC quest line era. Obviously he got lonely, got on a boat, and immigrated to WoD and now lives a secret life just outside our garrisons. Strange glitch :) I would be happy to invite him into my garrison if he would only come out of the woods and show himself!

Before all of the druidic orders coalesced into the Cenarion Circle, the Druids of the Talon were responsible for teaching promising young druids the mysteries of flight. With the dissolution of the order, former members teach the skill sparingly.

Even now, Morthis Whisperwing continues his search for a suitable apprentice. Few druids have truly mastered all the forms available to them, but you show the promise Morthis requires of his students. Seek him out at the Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh.
