Go onto Alterac Mountains Map. The right coords to her on the Alterac map are 32,32. She is in the house with her grandpa. Lordamere Lake has Fenris Island on it. Go North East of Dalaran along Coast Line until the first house on Lake with a jetty. Nancy is in house with grandpa. Both are 33 Elite mobs. Once you get the ring from her you take it to Monika Sengutz in Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad.

32.21 on alterac map. as well to kill the grandpa is easier, but not necessary. he gives XP and some 4s...

Periodically she's takes a stroll down the pier. Try and hit her then if you can, although she doesn't do that very often. Got bored waiting for her to walk again so did it with priest paladin and warlock. Very easy because warlock constantly feared grandpa

32,32 are correct. Nancy is a 33 elite and grandpa is 34 elite.

I solo'd this easily as a 36 priest. I stood outside the hut and mind controlled Nancy, and watched as she and her Grandpa duked it out for a minute, which got her down to about 50% health. I then loaded her up with Dots and dps'd her down, and once she died i feared her grandpa, looted the body, and ran.

I soloed this one at level 33 (mage), you just have to wait for Nancy to come out of the house and walk down to the end of the pier. One thing to note, the Snapjaws will come to her aid in the fight if they are near enough so you may want to kill some off first.

Just soloed both as a 35 Protection Pally. Basically opened with JotC than SoR. When I got below 50% I changed to JoLight and Seal of light. After that, it was long..... But I didnt die and I didnt have to lay on hands. I even killed a turtle that got hit by my conceration.

Soloed as a 31 Disc Priest... waited till she came out, and just SW:Pain'd and wanded her, and feared after each cooldown was up.

solo'd as a 31 combat rogue. just waited for her to go out of the house and jumped her. had to use a pot though

Very easy quest. Solo'd as a level 33 shadow priest.

There are three ways to do this really:
A) Mind control her and have her grandfather kill her.
B) (For those of you who aren't priests) wait for her to take her walk to the dock, then hit her hard.
C) Pull her in the house with her grandfather, give it everything you have, and hope she dies before you do.

A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: The small boat off the dock will evade bug them, so if something goes horribly wrong, jump in that boat and wait for them to reset.

Solo'ed as a 34 holy pally

1: wait for nancy to come out on the dock
2: pull her up beside the house to AoE (or kill snapjaws around the house)
3: Use Judgement of the Crusader to increase holy dmg, use consecration and seal of righteousness to take her down quick

i did all this and only healed once, good luck :]]

Also, for Horde, I think it's faster to fly into Sepulcher and run/swim across Lordamere Lake instead of running all the way up through Hillsbrad and Alterac Mountains.

Did this quest with a 30 Warlock and a 28 Mage

Mage sheep'd the grandpa while the lock went to town on the old lady.

and then we got the heck out of dodge before the sheeping wore off.

Im a 34 affliction lock with nice gear, and I just killed em both.... solo. Put my voidy on the girl, feared the grandad and popped a Siphon Life on him, and kept the girl dotted and made sure I had a Healthstone ready, got down to 20% HP so I used it, then she died, and the grandad came back so I thought sod it, ill kill him too. Same thing, fear, dot, fear, dot. Easy as hell in fact.

Exp from Nancy's death: 493
Exp from Grandpa's death: 537
Exp from quest: 4350
Total = 5380exp for killing 2 mobs..... yeah.

i solo'd this with my 32 feral druid.jus wait til she comes down to the pier and unload on her.was easier than i thought.then i went for grandpa for the xp. =P no problemo

soloed it with my 32 mage.. just kept the grandfather in sheep and nuked here down.. tryed to kill the grandfather after, but got oom on 20%, sheeped him and ran ^^

32, 32 Alterac Mountains. They both have around 3500hp

Was able to solo them as a 37 holy pally in my 29 ret/pvp gear. Didnt have to bubble or anything.

Soloed Nancy, level 34 Enhancement Shaman.

You just get enough distance to let loose 3 lightning bolts, then rotate Flame Shock and Frost Shock with a Fire totem, she goes down quickly.

Soloed as a 30 rogue.

Waited until she walked out and opened with CS, then basically just kited her around with gouge/KS. Had to pot once, bandage would probably help too. My gear isnt anything special.

Yep almost every 5mins, she walks out to the dock. Then it is soloable by any class in the yellow range

Soloed with lvl 32 Warrior fury specc.
Just wait untill she moves out on the dock and kill her i had 700 hp left!
I killed snapjaws while i was waiting for her to move out. Gl!

Correct coordinates stated above: 32,32.

Soloed easily as 31 protection warrior, kept shield block up, along with demoralizing shout and thunderclap. Didn't go below 65% hp. Combined this quest along with the newly classified cooking quest Soothing Turtle Bisque.

soloed as 37 feral druid. just entagling roots her grandpa and cat form dps her. you need to immobilize grandpa twice before kill her. and thanks above comments, when you feel things going wrong, please jump in that boat xD

Solo'd as a 33 Ret Pally. I freaked a little which caused me to do it backwards, but was still able to get it done.

I pulled not realizing both were in the house. At that point I ended up targetting gramps and just walked backwards trying to get out of range. Nancy ended up getting pulled back by her leash point while gramps, who I was still hitting, stayed on me. Standard Pally Bubble-->Heal-->Bandage and I was able to down Gramps. Waited until my 2nd bubble was off cooldown and went after Nancy.

Obviously in hindsight I would have targetted Nancy in my retreat and just have killed her by herself.

ya this quest is farly simple i mean when i did it there want a grandapa you guys are talking about just the chick nancy vardish or something,any class can do it at lvl ummm like 34 or 35 as long as you know how to play and hav an extra potion in my case a healthstone

Soloed as level 31 Warrior. Used Baron's Scepter and Marbled Buckler, attacked her when she was at the dock. Killed her easily with http://www.wowhead.com/?item=3456.

easily soloed this as a 35 feral druid - popped rejuvination and regrowth before i switched into bear form, used feral charge and the rest was a piece of cake - didnt have any trouble at all

I don't see this listed anywhere, but I did this quest a level 72 and the reputation was 500 to Undercity, I'm exalted with the others so I don't know if there was any other rep involved. (I'm not sure if it would show up.)

Hey,

Soloed as 33 frost mage. First find the house. When you'll be done with this, you will see her and the grandpa (both 33-34 elite humanoids). You need to kill Nancy for the ring.

My tactic:
1. Ice veins up, starting to fireball Nancy.
2. When they came to me, i FNed them and polyed grandpa.
3. Get a little distance from Nancy and countinue fireballing her.
4. After FN broke, i slowed her down by CoC and did some fireballs (use mana-shield).
5. Use your managem and finish her off.

Also dont forget to repoly grandpa if needed. Potions and bandages are +, but it can be done without this stuff.

Soloed as 33 fire mage. My tactics were simple:
1) Use tracking hounds from Houndmaster Locksey.
2) Pull her with Pyro, sheep grandpa, kill her with combination of frost nova, fireballs, fire blast, scorch, blast wave and wand. You can frost nova + evocation (glyphed!) and mana gem or potion.
3) Now you can blink and run away or kill grandpa too.

I had 1000 HP and 2700 MP, decently geared from dungeons (60 SP). Only use Polymorph on Grandpa and it is OK. When you are OOM, Frost Nova, Blink, Evocation, maybe use bandage...

Edit: They both have something 'round 3200+ HP and hit me 40-80. I didn't see them using any abilities.

This was waaaay to easy Level 31 Ret Paladin (0-5-17) All i did was wait till she decides to use the dock and then:

Hand of Reckoning- Let her come to you
Concecrate- Make sure the Turtles (Snapjaw) is not in the area
Judgements- Anyone of them (Justice, Light, & Wisdom) preferable Wisdom

Make sure you have Seal of Light on you so you can heal while doing dmg

really no need for anything else and make sure when she's at 1/4 she will run so while running just use the Judgement of Justice and she will immediatly turn around again

Just soloed by a lvl 32 rogue. Sapped the granpa and just nuked the woman. Pulled her out from the house, so i could get some moore time before the grandpa woke up. The grandpa got out from stealth when the woman still had 300hp left. Finished off the woman and vanished. Easy enough.

Easy as a Holy pally lvl 31 never was under half healthbar i took her on her walk to the boat... good tip there KingWalker.
The fact that i can use Exorcism on all mobs now helped alot ;P

Really easy as lvl 30 feral druid (cat) even without getting the first attack. Be certain to get her alone and the key is to keep bleeds up and heal when you hit about half health (regrowth, rejuv keeps you up). She came out every 5 minutes or so.

This q i really easy soloed it as a 31 rouge whit no problems at all she got around 3k hp and easy to burn down

Soloed as a 30 frost mage in all blues (no heirlooms). I cleared the turtle next to the house so I could use frost nova. Then I waited for her to come out of the house and just alternated between frostbolt, cone of cold, and frost nova, blinking around to give me room to kite. She does try to run away when she gets low on health, so it gives you more time to nuke.

Soloed as a 30 prot pally. Pulled her along with grandpa, ignored him, kept Blessing of Sanctuary and Seal of Light up, alternated between Judgment and Consecrate. Popped LoH at 30 percent health, probably didn't need it though. In case you haven't gathered from the comments above, this is a fairly easy quest to solo for most classes, but as always, bringing a friend along never hurts :)

pretty easy as a mage. Just keep her moving and avoid AOE's near the snapjaws. I used a mana gem up, but I was just nuking her (was level 35 when completed). She runs with about 400 health left, but won't agro anything. The key is to get her at the dock.

Soloed as a level 34 Undead Arms Warrior with Heirlooms (Bloodied Arcanite Reaper, Polished Breastplate of Valor and Polished Spaulders of Valor). I'll go through what I did:

1. Used Bloodrage
2. Charged Grampa Vishas
3. Used Rend on him, and then used Intimidating Shout.
4. Constantly DPS'ed him with Overpower, Slam, Heroic Strike and I used one Thunder Clap.
5. He was almost dead by the time Nancy Vishas came back but when she ran back, I put Retaliation on and by this time the Grampa was dead.
6. Then I just DPS nuked Nancy Vishas with Overpower, Victory Rush, Rend, Slam and Heroic Strike.

Hope this helps for any Warriors out there. And by the way, I didn't use a potion doing this and I got to 700/1800 hp so feel free to use a potion.

Easily soloed as a level 33 discipline priest. Use Power Word: Shield + Renew on yourself, load them both up with dots (Devouring Plague + Shadow Word: Pain) and burn them down one at a time. I've noticed most priests never use Holy Fire but at lower levels it's a really strong nuke and even stronger than Mind Flay is for Shadow Priests for a while.

easily soloable. I soloed as a lvl 33 prot pali, just ran into the house, kept up consecration, judgment of light, and spammed shields and stuns when available. Only healed once and it was an overheal at that. ended at bout 40% mana 100% hp, although was equipped with most rare items and 3 looms, i think it would be easy for any class, with moderate gear, at round 34

She hits fairly hard but nothing you can't handle. Solo'd as a level 31 subtlety rogue without armor.

Standing here as my 30 Discipline Priest, and for anyone trying the Mind Control technique, they can no longer be Mind Controlled or Charmed.

Waiting for her to come out the house now so I can try to solo it.

Edit: Aggroed them both while trying to take a screenshot, so I ran north while dotting up Nancy. Had one point in Reflective Shields so she was hurting herself alot too. Feared her once and found the fight to be very easy. No issues, didn't even lose health.

This quest was the first time I ever felt that World of Warcraft had substance. Had realism. Some degree of verisimilitude. However, with time (and thyme) comes change, and this quest was apparently too inconvenient or inefficient to complete; it has been removed from the game. I am genuinely saddened by this, but in the meantime, I'll always think of Vorrel when I see that lonely house by Lake Lordamere.

I will never forget you.
