The safest way to go to Ratchet is to go to Booty Bay either by flight path or by foot and take the boat there. If you're going by foot, travel South from either Storm Wind or Duskwood to Stranglethorn Vale. Then, just follow the main road to Booty Bay, which is really south. Get the flight path while you're there, which is here http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=2859.

Well... First, I got a flight to Forest Song, then, I took a swimming by Southfury River. Althought I passed quite close to Orgrimmar, it was not a problem, since there aren't usually many hordes taking bath and Durotar is 1-12 lvl zone :)

I think the easies way is to swim down the river, and if you have a mont u can just ride along the river side on it, which is what i did, and i get there in no time =] i have a set of instrustions below and screen shots to match it.

-Go to the bridge between Durotar and Ashenvale

-Then once at the bridge face soulth and jump off, it won't kill u

-Continue swimmin down stream for a while, once you start enterin into horde land u might notice camps, if you were walkin next to the river get back in till you pass them, then once you get far enough u can continue walking along silde the water.

-Adventualy on your mini map you start to see a dent. That would be ratchet

-Once you get into Ratchet go down the dock all the way and then u will see Dizzywigg

-The next quest he gives asks you to travel to Booty Bay, and talk to another person, he's right on the dock there so that's not hard at all!!!!!!!

I have a question I'd like to ask.

I am a lvl 32 warlock who is currently hated with the Steam Wheedle Cartel, & i'd like to know if I can
be able to do this quest still...

If you decide to go straight to the Barrens from Ashenvale, don't try to stealth past the guards. It doesn't work and will result in a LOT of pain.

The Barrens Port

Descrição

Ratchet is the only port in the Barrens. Most likely Velinde found a trading vessel in Ratchet to take her to Blackwater Cove in Azeroth. We've had limited dealings with the goblins that run the port, but the master of the dock should have information about the comings and goings of ship passengers.

Follow the road southeast through Ashenvale and you will find yourself in the Barrens. Watch your step, <name>, warriors of the Horde patrol the land. You will be safe at the port, though.
