Easily soloed as a 46 rogue. Sapped the witch-doctor and dealt with the pet (which spawns two baby mobs when it dies, more of an annoyance than a threat) then took out Mai'jin. The cave is around 25,66.

soloed this at a 43 druid.. (Feral)
I just ravaged the troll, and killed him. Healed myself, kill the spider, heal myself, and the babies attacked me once, and were dead (Thorns ftw =P)

btw, the coords 25,66 are correct

Yes Witch Doctor Mai'jin is a hunter and his pet is
Tcha'kaz Kill them both in the cave at coord. 25,66 they are easily soloable at 43.

Soloed EXTREMELY easy as a 43 retribution paladin, but watch the spiders they sorta suprised me. 25.66 is the place to go.

This was extremely easy as a 44 balance druid. i used entangling roots on doctor, killed the spider in like 2 hits, and because of my thorns buff the 2 spiders died instantly after. then i focused on doctor or whatever and got a witherbark and a wolf on me and i still easily finished. I only lost about 500 health

Easily soloed by a 44 Arms/Fury Warrior.
Just took care of the guards, rested and charged in.
Killed the little spiders in one blow with Thunder Clap.

Easily soloed as a 45 shadow priest. Mind controlled witch doctor, pet killed m/c, pet down to 60%.

oops, just realized. If the pet kills the Witch Doctor, you don't get credit. Make sure you get the killing blow.

Unbelievable easy as a 46 balance druid! Went moonkin form and used Hibernate (beast sleep) on the spider. Killed the witchdoctor easier than the Witherbarks outside the cave. This quest wouldn't be any tougher without hibernate. 25.66 is correct.

Easily solo'd as a 42 feral druid. Cat mode, no heal. Kill him first, then worry about that wuss of a spider.

Cave co-ords are 25, 66 in case you scrolled right to the bottom.

Solo'd easy as a 42 Frost Mage. No trick to it.

Solo'd as a 46 fire mage. Pyroblasted the troll, sheeped the spider, burned down the troll, then popped and killed the spider. Spider spawns two 25 adds after it dies, one AoE will do the job. Took practically no damage in the fight.

easy as a 43 frost mage. sheep Mai'jin and froze the spider. killed the spider quickly then when the 2 others appeared used arcane explosion and killed them then cast ice barrier and killed Mai'jin easily

i solo'd this quest as a lvl 46 fire mage. its a very easy quest (at least it was for me). i attacked Mai'jin first, and he was dead before he came to me. the spider is also very easy to kill. it took like 5 sec for me to kill them, lost barely no health at all. p.s it is 2 mobs outside the cave, lvl 44 and 45 for me

I soloed this quest with a 44 rogue, with engineering. Used my Mind Control Cap on the Witch Doctor and just bam bam dead quest complete :P

Killed the troll as he spawned, spider wasn't there.

Soloed as a Night Elf Mohawk lev 80, I just charged in and pwned him with my epic Frostsaber.

Solo'd fairly easily as a 42 lock. Smack the demon of your choice on the spider (lower level) and dps him down. Rinse and repeat for the Witch Doctor, taking out his totems as they pop up.

Soloed as a 44 Elemental/Resto Shaman. Droped Stoneskin, Healing, and Searing totems. I had Grounding out, but he didn't cast anything against me.
Also, as a possible bug, his Magma totem didn't deal any damage to my totems.

A tip for warriors and such, kill mai jin first (he has heals) then take care of the spider.

Very easily soloed as a level 43 retri paladin.
I just nuked him down and prevented his healing totems
and then nuked his pet. The 2 adds just takes some aoe
or 1 hit, very easy.

I'm sure it's really soloable for any class at lvl 42-44, especially those with CC. For mages by sheeping Mai'jin first, by Warlocks - fearing him or tank both with void, as Priest/SPriest by PsyScream.

Soloed as a level 44 fury warrior. Simply charge the spider, drop intimidating shout, finish off the sider by the time he gets back, then use whirlwind to get rid of the adds. Bloodlust though the rest of the fight he hits pretty hard, even with dem shout.

Easy quest. Soloed as a lvl 46 feral druid. Ravaged the doctor, and killed him. Then i killed the spider. (No healing done)

Easily soloed as level 45 shadow priest. Had to kill three level 44/45 trolls to get access to the cave. The trolls could be pulled seperately. Killed the 46 doctor pretty easily, and focussed on killing the 44 spider next. The doctor spawns a healing ward which doesn't really seem to have much effect. The spider spawns two level 25 spiders when it dies. Those level 25 spiders were instant kill for me. Since those spawns are annoying, I suggest you take out the doctor first. I think my health bar didn't drop below 90% health. Coords mentioned above are correct, the cave is short enough to be able to pull the doctor from the outside.

A little neat trick, if he has previously been killed the spider will spawn 1st then kill him and just wait til the witch doctor spawns and kill him. I was lvl 42 doing it

did this as a lvl 48 Hunter. used , , and and he was dead before he even touched me. His pet was even easier. My pet wolf could have easily killed him in 15 seconds

Descrição

The rugged terrain of the Hinterlands is not only home to the Wildhammer dwarves and their gryphons, but also to a number of forest troll tribes.

The trolls view the Wildhammers as squatters on their ancestral lands and spare no opportunity to accost the dwarves by attacking the gryphon aeries. One way to prove ourselves in the eyes of the Wildhammer is to help staunch these attacks by killing a Witherbark leader, Witch Doctor Mai'jin, who shelters in a cave at Bogen's Ledge, to the west of Shadra'Alor.
