Get Ready for The War Within with New Raid Consumables - Weapon Oils, Drums, Flasks, and More

Players looking to tackle the toughest content in The War Within are likely all too familiar with the preparation needed for raids, PvP, and Mythic +. To fully unlock your potential, you aren't just running into an instance portal full speed into a pack of enemies - you're toting a full bag of consumables along with you to provide every edge possible.
The War Within will be no different, offering players both new and more familiar consumables to work with: everything from enchantments to flasks and potions will be on a raider's To-Do list before that weekly lockout comes around.
Alchemy Consumables
Alchemy has some of the most tried and true consumables for raiders - between Potions and Flasks, this profession has been a mainstay since Classic. Some much-needed updates are coming in The War Within, however, with quality-of-life tweaks such as
and
now being Warband bound and Flasks making a triumphant return over Phials.
Potion and Flask effects in The War Within have some interesting variations, including a Mana potion that uses Health to cast spells instead, as well as a series of Flasks that increase Honor gains for PvP. There should be something for everyone!

: Place a cauldron that allows party and raid members to take flasks/potions of their choosing from among the recipes known by the specialized alchemists in the Warband of the individual who placed the cauldron. The cauldron lasts for 5 min and has 40 charges. Each charge grants 1 flask or 5 potions, depending on the cauldron type.
: Restores 1500000 health.
: Restores 150000 mana.
: Restores 1099950 health and 90000 mana.
: Your next 6 mana consuming spells or abilities will consume 12-8% (based on crafting quality) of your health instead of using mana. Lasts up to 25 sec.
: Elevate your focus to restore 218390 mana over 10 sec, but you are defenseless until your focus is broken.
: Fixate on the target enemy within 40 yds to increase your damage dealt to them by 2-5% (based on item quality). Lasts 20 sec.
: Consume to gain 640 armor and 2% maximum health for 6 sec. Whenever you are struck, gain an additional stack of these effects and increase the duration by 1 sec, up to 9 times. (500ms cooldown)
: Drink to increase a random secondary stat by 6002 at the cost of 420 of two other secondary stats. These effects are randomized again every 30 sec. Lasts 1 hour and through death. Consuming an identical flask will add another 1 hour.
: Directly healing an ally player that is below 25% health grants 15% increased healing done for 10 sec. Lasts 1 hour and through death. Consuming an identical flask will add another 1 hour.

: Drink to increase your Critical Strike/Mastery/Haste/Versatility by 2250. Lasts 1 hour and through death. Consuming an identical flask will add another 1 hour.
: Player killing blows increase your damage dealt by 8% and damage taken by 4% for 20 sec, stacking up to 5 times. If you are slain with this effect, your assailant takes a portion of this power. Honor gains increased by 15%. Lasts 1 hour and through death. Consuming an identical flask will add another 1 hour.
: Upon death, your rage manifests into a frenzied elemental to allow you to enact vengeance upon your foes for 10 sec. Can only occur once every 2 min. Honor gains increased by 15%. Lasts 1 hour and through death. Consuming an identical flask will add another 1 hour.
Blacksmithing Consumables
Blacksmithing is in an interesting spot currently - while we can't be sure that this item is in fact a consumable (it might just be a crafting reagent), it would track that Weapon Stones would return along with Weapon Oils, meaning that it's likely this item is simply a work-in-progress. We may see more information (and more similar items!) pop up in a future build for The War Within.
Enchanting Consumables
Enchanting has a new consumable on the block in The War Within: Weapon Oils. Most recently handled by Alchemists in Shadowlands, these oils are a temporary enhancement, much like Sharpening Stones, that can be applied to weapons to produce some interesting effects.
Along with that, the tried and true normal range of Enchantments for Rings, Chest, Cloak, Boots, and Bracers are all here - and there's too many to list! We've picked some of the most interesting ones for you to browse below, including the particularly fascinating Cursed Ring Enchants, which reduce one secondary stat in exchange for boosting another:
: Coat your weapon in Algarian Mana Oil, increasing your Critical Strike and Haste by 272 for 120 min.
: Coat your weapon in an oil that emits a warm light. The oil has a chance to resonate with your healing, healing an additional 3133 Health to the target. Lasts 120 min.
: Coat your weapon in an oil that seems to absorb all light around it. The oil has a chance to resonate with the damage you deal, inflicting 567 Shadow damage to the target. Lasts 120 min.
: Permanently enchants a pair of boots with the cavalry's fleetness, increasing mounted speed by 0%. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
: Permanently enchants bracers with anicent magic that chants with power, granting 200 Speed. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
: Permanently enchants a chestpiece with Earthen rune magic to increase your <Primary Stat> by 150. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
: Permanently enchants a cloak with anicent magic that chants with power, granting 100 Leech and heal for 197788 every 5 sec while out of combat. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
: Permanently infuses a ring with a cursed chant, sapping -1020 of your Haste while granting 1360 Critical Strike. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
: Permanently infuses a ring with a cursed chant, sapping -1020 of your Mastery while granting 1360 Versatility. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
: Permanently enchants a weapon with the Authority of Radiant Power. Dealing damage has a chance to call upon that authority, smiting your target for 1276 Radiant damage and temporarily increasing your Primary stat by 252. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
: Permanently enchants a weapon with the Authority of the Depths. Damaging foes may invoke the authority, applying Suffocating Darkness to them and periodically inflicting 153 Shadow damage. The darkness deepens with every invocation, eventually becoming a Crushing Darkness that instantly inflicts all remaining damage. Cannot be applied to items lower than level 180.
Engineering Consumables
Unfortunately, we can only currently speculate on the effects of several Engineering consumables that have been found while datamining, as they have no effects and are currently works-in-progress. That said, based on the names of many of these, it sounds like Engineers will have area-of-effect "Potion Bombs" - whether these will eventually replace the traditional Alchemy potions remains to be seen!
Inscription Consumables
While the item is currently incomplete, we did find a new Vantus Rune with a placeholder name for the Season 1 Raid!
Jewelcrafting Consumables
While not traditional consumables in the sense that you don't use them mid-fight for an advantage, Jewelcrafting has critical consumables for raid readiness in the form of Jeweler's Settings. These settings allow you to add sockets to your gear - meaning you'll be able to use all the gems you can craft! One notable difference in The War Within is that Settings are now split between PvE and PvP - and the PvE settings have far more restrictions than the PvP versions.
Gems are also maintaining their presence, now with combination stats (such as
) and single stats (such as
). The bigger adjustment is to Meta Gems, which now scale based off different gem colors socketed into gear.

: Unique-Equipped: Algarian Diamond (1) +181 Primary Stat and getting snared increases damage of your next attack by 2267 per stack
Leatherworking Consumables
When you think of raiding, you think of Leatherworking for one reason: Drums. These critical consumables are making a return in The War Within, so groups without a player who can Lust won't have to go without!
: Increases Haste by 15% for all party and raid members. Lasts 40 sec. Allies receiving this effect will become Exhausted and be unable to benefit from Bloodlust, Heroism, or similar effects again for 10 min. (2 Min Cooldown)
