I’m going with Helya or Argus on this one. Helya reached The Maw fully powered, and is obviously working with The Jailer as a Deathling. She could be all “my death was planned and I stopped the Arbiter from the inside! *evil laugh*”Or.... Helya passed through, and as a Evil Death proponent went directly to The Maw, which brings us to Argus. Argus is a world soul, and dying as one born, but not turned to a Titan, make have broken the mechanics. World Souls were usually eaten or destroyed while in their unborn state (Azeroth). Fully awakened World Souls became Titans, but Argus is the only in between that we know of.
I doubt it was Argus for simple fact there is no mention of titans being mortal. (and only mortal souls came to arbiter)Would explain why no other titans are ever mentioned in SL.Gul'dan...would make sense, but he was never a real threat w/o help. (and i highly doubt fel magic would go with spirit)Red was likely used to differentiate the 1 soul that ruined the system (not that it was actually red).
Helya is immortal though (even though she was killed by Odyn). She was created by Odyn to carry souls of vrykul. So why would the Arbiter judge her? If mortal souls only really applies then it would have to be Ysera or Xavius. Maybe Elune saved part of her soul that wasnt corrupt and pushed her into the shadowlands before her corrupted half got to the Arbiter, similar to how the light saved part of Uthers soul.
It can be Ysera because she died before ursoc and Ursoc made it to argent wield. Xavius i don't think was a strong enough being to have caused it. There were bigger baddies than him that died before and after.
I'm sure it's Argus. The red soul that travels to the Arbiter is the same as the red "star" in the sky from Sargeras. Maybe all Titan souls are huge and red. And it makes sense that only something with cosmic levels of power could break the Arbiter.
It's probably Ninito. Bad sheep.
Argus is a good guess. I wonder if it was when Genn broke the soulcage lantern. Eyir didn't seem to be necessary for whatever Sylvanas was planning. Maybe she needed someone else to break it, and played Genn. Argus is still the best guess I think.
Do I hear a dragon's roar around 0:48 second? it might be insignificant though
I think its Argus, why ? well, because of a few simple answers... First, the soul is red (this MAY be related to argus based on the fact that in the mythic phase he turned red and mythic versions of fights are supposedly cannon versions) Second, do you remember what happened in the argus bossfight ? He killed you, and Eonar basically decided to upset the balance of the shadowlands by force reviving you, that may have weakened the veil between reality and the shadowlands for just the while in which we kill argus after being revived, and thus, may have thrown argus into the shadowlands instead of the "Titan Homeworld" mentioned by Ion, when argus´s soul came near the arbiter, it was a titan soul, the arbiter was not programmed to judge titan souls, because they werent even supposed to be in the shadowlands in the first place, also as you see, as the soul enters the arbiter, the arbiter turns red AND is in some state of what seems to be torment/pain, Do you know who also lived eons full of torment and pain ? Thats right, it was Argus. Also, the red soul doesnt seem to go into any realm, it instead, just enters the arbiter and makes it dormant. Also, did you notice how differently sylvanas approaches everything in legion and bfa ? We know that sylvanas has been in contact with the jailer since after wrath, and, since the machine of death was not broken yet in legion, she may have a different strategy with the jailer in that time, but after we killed argus and basically made the arbiter go offline, the jailer quickly siezed the moment and took control of the flow of sould and contacted sylvanas like "hey, kill EVERYONE you can, they will funnel into the maw and make us stronger" . I had a suspicion that it could be argus since they said that the machine of death was broken in legion, and i was just waiting for the moment that they would show us something that could relate to him and make this whole theory click. Sorry for my bad english but i hope you understood what i meant by this, it seems very likely to be argus in my opinion.
My personal guess? It's Argus. They make a point of saying that The Arbiter EXPERIENCES all of a soul's life in that moment, but Argus has had a VERY crappy life, quite possibly THE crappiest life of any being in the entire cosmos: he was tortured constantly before he was born, and when he finally was born he was almost immediately killed.Imagine condensing BILLIONS of years of torture, torture enough to drive a Titan completely mad, into a single moment, then forcing someone to experience it. It's not surprising that the Arbiter would go into shock like that.
What we know: Ursoc was one of the last souls to make it through the Arbiter into his intended afterlife. Slight spoilers, but someone we know who died before him was described as arriving "shortly before" the drought. This most likely means that it was caused during the events of Legion. Given the Jailer was apparently Sylvanas' reason for the burning of Teldrassil and her scorched earth tactics in BfA, it couldn't have happened any later anyway.Top-tier candidate: Argus the Unmaker, Titan of Death, whose soul was so tormented by Sargeras and the Legion for eons that the Arbiter reliving his experiences would likely break her. Even if it hadn't, she probably wouldn't know what to do with Argus -- condemn him to the Maw for fueling the slaughter of trillions and attempting to kill Azeroth's champions, or pass him onto another afterlife for healing due to none of it being towards his will (and in which case, which one, since his life likely embodies the dogma of all four covenants we know -- potential final patch hook?). Argus is likely the most powerful soul to have passed through the Shadowlands in eons; we know that the Jailer is after Azeroth's world-soul, which not only means Titans do go through the afterlife, but that the Jailer may be aware of the potential of taking a world-soul.Runner-up: Gul'dan, whose existence in the Prime timeline results in a paradox, as Gul'dan would likely have already passed judgement once, causing the Arbiter to 404 upon seeing him back with different experiences. (Of course, this begs the question of whether the Shadowlands exists "beyond time" or not, but I doubt the game wants to answer that.)Other options:- Xavius, though I find it unlikely. There's a small chance he was sent by the Old Gods in a gambit to take over the Shadowlands, meant to funnel power to the Jailer so they could guarantee their passage to the Maw and take his throne. Of course, there's no indication Old Gods would actually pass into the Shadowlands when destroyed since they're not technically meant to "die", and they consider the Jailer the "true enemy", so giving the Jailer more power would be counterintuitive.- SOMEONE eternally locked in the Seat of the Pantheon, as a potential hook for "hey guys Sargeras is back on the table, glad you enjoyed that breather." Doubtful though, since we would probably have seen the consequences sooner, and it would be a huge slap in the face to have spent an expansion resurrecting most of the people there only to find out one of them was insta-gibbed the minute we turned around.
Not really, I just noticed it and it's so familiar, I mean, well, most of the dragon's might have the same voice but it's still "unique" I've heard it somewhere before, but i might be stupid lol.
...While I had considered it could be Argus...I am also considering it to be Helya, maybe it was all Sylvanas' Plan? Though, Argus would be powerful of two, and had gone through Millenia of Torment... Enough to cause Arbiter to get severe case of Blue Screen of Death.
Some of you might have not noticed, but the shrieks we can hear once the Red Soul hits Arbiter match those that can be heard during Argus Encounter and intro video.
