sooo.... when is blizzard going to break Trade Skill Master then? fair bit of "automation" in that one aswell. but noooo! i wont be able to snipe on the AH then! lmao.im still multiboxing, takes more effort, and time, but its doable. and to the people that send me whispers ingame that they reported me and i should go hang myself:you do realise that im doing nothing against ToS, but you are right? falsly reporting me for cheating in the game. i hope you stumble across a lot of players, just like me, and keep reporting them, in the end what you will be doing is just flag yourself.on the topic of professions: blizzard is just trying a new way to make all proffesions "viable" again. professions were stale and certainly towards patch 8.3 just plain useless ( well not all of them, but some really were). i just hope they found a way to make professions count for something trough all SL patches.now were is my knife? i got to go skin that one mob that was protecting that herb node before i pick it :D
I played around with multiboxing during TBC but never really stuck with it, however I used input broadcasting software (AutoHotKey) for years afterwards to keep myself from alt-tabbing out of the active window. Alas this is the final nail in the coffin for me. good luck fellow nerds <3
I cant care less about multiboxers, and it is not sad knowing they got wrecked, just the fact that 1 person was able to drain a node should have been enought to be flaged as suspicious gameplay. Someone said on the comments it took them 20 secs to gather, thats a lie, they take 1/3 secs to drain a node. Being a gatherer myself (to craft, not to sell) doesnt really bother me the fact that all the "multiboxers mats" will not be there anymore, and to be fair, it shouldnt bother most people, just, create a toon to gather mats for urself, if u dont have time, well, u will pay the AH prices, wich they are always insane in any start of an expansion, with or without the multiboxers. Overall im pretty sure nothing will change that much, everyone is either gonna get a gatherer and the ones that cant, well, AH will be ur best worst friend
multiboxers are annoying but ehhh, more power to ya......problem though is that a large number of them arent simply playing multiple accts, they're automating it whiel they tab out to watch netflix or whatever. not All, but great deal ive come across are automated, increasingly so over the last few years
Step 1: Buy or make a multicaster hub that will fire off keyboard and mouse inputs to multiple machines (Or virtual machines). Fairly cheap to buy probably easy and cheap to make also.Step 2: Setup a bunch of computer/laptops with WoW, Or setup a bunch of Virtual Machines with WoW and select the multicaster hub as keyboard/mouse input. (I would suggest a decent high core count CPU with good cooling + a few gpu's slapped in with some cheap ram. Old server stuff can be had fairly cheap these days. Per account you only really want 3-4gb ram and 2 cores + a low end gpu with wow's settings super low nothing fancy or cutting edge. Something like an old xeon cpu + 32gb ram and some old mining cards will do you fine.)Example config:- Main PC with WoW loaded- Server running 5 VM's with WoW loaded (or just multiple machines)- The input on all the VM's and main PC all going to multicaster hub or DIY bodged solutionYou can remote or use a KVM switch to swap between accounts if needed, so if main one dies just flip switch to other account rez up and crack on as normal. Or alternatively stop the keyboard/mouse sending out to other machines till main account is sorted and flip it all back on. Step 3: Login to all your accounts and play just as you did before. Pressing 1 on the keyboard will press 1 on all the other instances of WoW open. Can use GSE addon and stuff to make rotation more easy, but should mostly play as before when you multiboxed only thing is a little more setup cost. The above is all done via hardware not software. It will be within the rules, none detectable. This is basically the same as having 5 keyboards and 5 accounts in front of you and pressing 1 on all those keyboards at the same time with some sort of pole with fingers. Probably a rubbish example but yeah.. It's not using any software. It will all be physical hardware keypresses no funny stuff. No autohotkey, no multibox software none of this is needed. In the words of blizzard
About ***** time. You nerfed the Haunted memento to oblivion because it spawned and bla bla bla servers bla bla. YEAH, that was the problem... Not your servers and 3999 druids picking herbs at the same time in one zone. And these people defending multiboxing... disgust me.
