People complaining about WoD consumables no longer being relevant in SL are just nonsensical. The current expansion with current crafts using current materials should be the given.Wanting to sit on your stock of 3200 tomes for the next couple expansions to come isn't going to be allowed to go on and no one should be surprised by this.
It is a right decision imo, people crafting these old world tomes have made their grind and did enough profit out of them. If they wouldn't deactivate them for level 60-use, why would someone in Shadowlands take Inscription and do them anyway ? Good call Blizz!
this blows. what's next, make old ink glyphs stop working?
Why do they keep doing these changes that nerf tiny little niche parts of the game that actually make it unique and be worthwhile to have the knowledge of these mechanics and those who saved said items? Blizzard is just continuously suffocating the player base and tunneling them into doing what THEY want, and for what reason? They have already beat the horse to death when it comes to "player engagement" mechanics (i.e borrowed powers) to keep subscribers playing the new content whenever they release it and then they shut down older parts of the game that have no significant bearing on the newest expansion. Why can't they just EXPAND the game by leaving these smaller things alone and just stick to fine tuning old content that would actually break the current edition. smhI'm going to keep going here, and apologies in advance to anybody for suffering through my rant, but this ties into another seemingly obvious gap in the game's continuity, which is why are there no world quests/current content all over the WORLD still? What's the reasoning behind making an expansion that has the geographical area of literally 1/32 of all of Azeroth and then having literally all the possible content that is relevant to max level there? Why can't we have world quests in at least some of the end game content from all the other expansions + vanilla, the huge beautiful world they have created is barren and empty and lacks any type of reason to care about visiting those areas after you have leveled through them, especially after Blizzard keeps nerfing even the smallest reason you might want to. With the new leveling system, and of course the phasing/war mode BS, you will probably NEVER see a soul in those areas again without a reason to go there at max level. Cmon Blizzard, get your #$%^ together and put the Massive back in MMORPG .....
Finally a reason to use the ones I got from the Legion intro quest.
