Without using the gem or legs with sockets, he took 11,350 damage from Garras das Sombras and inflicted 17076 damage with Julgamento.

He then swapped into the same legs with sockets and equipped Opala Negra Versátil, which logically should make him deal more damage and take less damage. However, he took 11,383 damage from Garras das Sombras and inflicted 17019 damage with Julgamento.

PvP scaling is a thing that has been with us throughout BFA. My personal opinion about it is that its better than Templates but not really optimal. It is too riddled with bugs and certain scenarios will make good items weaker compared to a lower ilvl one, just because of PvP scaling. This is especially true for rings.

I would suggest you all make your own testing with PvP scaling, since it differs a lot depending on pvp item level.

I was not able to go test everything about PvP scaling in this video, since it is quite a large system.

Hopefully there will be some changes to the system in Shadowlands. At the very least make it more apparent what you are actually doing (healing, dmg etc) and not keep it hidden.

Skill and gear BOTH should be impactfull but that beeing said 480 bis should have a really huge advantage over 460 without gems/right corruptions - that's what's arena is for -> you play on rating your skill and gear allows you. That is a 200+ ilvl gap between players. If there was no scaling, top end players would run shop on everything. I find it hilarious the amount of people who exaggerate this system by so much where they try to argue that somehow the low ilvl person is doing better than their mythic+/mythic raid geared character, because of scaling. Lowest ilvl for scaling is 286, no matter what btw, so even if you were completely naked or less geared than 286 your pvp ilvl for scaling would be 286, which doesn't mean you'd be doing the same damage as an ilvl 286 would, it means that the coefficient for scaling is the same as a ilvl 286 if you are lower. Meaning lets say you at lvl 120 are actually ilvl 286 and face an ilvl 450 and in this hypothetical your scaling says you should be doing 50% more damage to them (not actual in game scaling number btw), now in another lvl 120 character who is actually ilvl 100 (lets say they were leveled via AV in anniversary event and didn't receive any gear after ilvl 100) and is facing an ilvl 450, they too will only be doing 50% more damage to them, but will have significantly less stats and therefore be significantly weaker, as their pvp ilvl will be 286.

There were so many people going around saying that a freshly leveled toon will outdamage and even kill a geared person in pvp when Rextroy released that naked video that I had to test it myself, in the time it took a 550k healthed fire mage to kill my freshly leveled druid who was just a couple ilvl above 286 I had done 30% of their health, blowing all cooldowns, and it took them 6 seconds to kill me, and most of that was full casting a pyroblast. But yeah, I totally had the advantage there. No matter what, a highly geared person will have the advantage, unless they exploit high static damage abilities from WQs that really shouldn't be able to affect enemy players in the first place, which is what Rextroy did in his naked video, used the bomb in mantid invasion which does high static damage that doesn't scale with AP/SP and combined it with an amazing trinket and essence, and used his bubble to prevent himself from dying in seconds.

Now, I am in no way saying that the system doesn't have its flaws and Rextroy isn't right about the things he said in this video, but people really need to stop exaggerating it. Side thing: 1 blue socket appears to add 2 ilvl to pvp ilvl as my character with just 1 socket has pvp ilvl only 2 ilvl away from actual ilvl as it was 444 actual but 446 pvp ilvl.Comentado por XanthochroiThis is disgusting.
