I'm getting to the point where I'm okay with covenant abilities being hard to switch. However, I'm worried about balancing. During the BlizzCon they announced Legion, Ion said that artifacts having a large amount of traits would allow them to do fine tuning on classes more often by just changing a single trait at a time. This ended up not happening and many classes were just left to rot.In Ion's interview with Sloot, he said that the team didn't want to balance Azerite traits often because players put in effort to obtain the gear, how are they going to feel balancing a (semi) permanent covenant choice?
Gotta love that there are people who, after reading those descriptions, still spew "it's just 1%". Jealousy is one hell of a thing.
Personally, I like those upgrades, even if some of them are outdated. And let's be honest, if you just think a few seconds about the whole thing: Most of these upgrades won't be available for raids, M+ or even open world content. They are for Torghast, and reading the little introduction should have pushed you to that conclusion either way.So why are you complaining about these upgrades? Each Torghast run will be vastly different, and not only due to random tile-sets. But if suddenly one of your abilites does like 4 times the damage, that will be a huge game changer, compared to a run when you only got minor stuff like your steward complimenting your friend (which also is kinda awesome and is probably more of a soulbind thingy). If these things get implemented for Torghast, I won't even need an incentive to run that tower. I will just do it for the heck of it, because all those changed abilities will be super fun to use. Granted, that will mean, that open world and even raid stuff will have a harder time in comparison, because if Torghast is TOO awesome, other great stuff might be overshadowed too much.
Yo Blizz keep going hard on the covenants. Make the choices meaningful. Stay strong stay blessed.
Looking forward to Torghast!
From bad to worse, with being able to upgrade abilities that were already too strong. Well I heard they were ready to just delete the system, I didn't think it needed to be deleted, but with seeing this it might be the only solution. It will affect class design, it will make class rely on borrowed powers again. So I guess what we've seen so far was the most they were willing to go back on classes. And they will try to patch them with covenants. Predictable train rekt. And this won't affect top player, far from that. Players that care will just make 4 of the same class and join different covenant. This will handicap more casual players and I guess they are happy with that.
just enjoy it dont worry about balancing 95% of u play whatever the highest damage classes are anyway or a tank...
Or maybe they are.
Any hunter stuff?
