It's bad but not as bad as titanforging, with this you can't really wish for everything to be titanforged. It's not like you can have 100 corruption, even 20 it's kinda bad, 50-60 it's insane, and a tier 3 corrupted equip gives, 20-25, making the additional stat they give not really worth the downsides. The big downsides of this system i find is that once you reach your corruption treshold, every new corrupted equip you find become worthless, it's overall too complicated and might end up having the same other problems as titanforging, even if a little bit less.
Those systems, regardless how they name them, rename them, change them, are simply bad and wrong.Systems where they implement so many possible variations of the same item can and will only bring frustration and endless grind, because statistically, probability to get that perfect item is just incredibly low. This will make people piss off when it comes to DPS meters etc because they will simply be out-geared by someone who was just one of the lucky ones and there's nothing you can do about it. How about you create systems around things which people wouldn't mind grinding and things which are more permanent? * Add more transmog sets* Add more mounts* Add more titles* Add anything that is potentially worth endlessly grindingThis endless grind of the same items is just purely wrong, it's frustrating and boring. It adds very little value because even if you get those perfect items, by the time you get them (considering how random it is), a new raid comes out and craps all over it.
Worst thing about this is with current numbers you actually want low tier rolls lol. Assuming the bonuses stack and 59 corruption is the 'soft cap' you can get 11 tier 1 corruptions with 5 corruption each, compared to only 2 tier 3 and 1 tier 2 which is a lot more value.
Blizzard, here is my feedback: recieving less loot is way more fun than recieving a lot and having to find the right version.@Squishei, I have a question: does one same effect stack from different pieces?
There goes my hope of them removing titanforging rng in favor of a more deterministic system. rip.
It’s a cool gamble , don’t freak out kids.
Basically they kept the RNG people against TF complain about (and actually made it even worse) and ruined the aspect of TF the people who like it used to enjoy. Congratz Blizzard, instead of fixing it so both sides are happy you ruin it to make both sides sad.
No, I don't want that
This seems way more tedious and poorly thought out than current TFing. Way too much RNG and hassle.
Feels like gearing gets more complicated every patch, you literally have to sim everything cause you usually don't know what's an upgrade anymore. I don't like RNG on item's stats, you should know what you are grinding for and not depend on some procs, thats not WoW, thats diablo and such, where you kill millions of mobs and pray for rng.I don't play classic much, but gear progression there is miles better than what we have in bfa.
of course, just drop another one /s
I really hope that those people crying will win their jackpot, get everything with corruption and die every second pull...Or better, they will spawn that fixate add right before getting CC'd in arena and it will explode them for 500k :D
I'm regretting using that monkey's paw right about now.
"Lets switch TF with even more complex, incomprehensible, complecated, unnecessary and grindy item than TF ever could be"seriously?what kind of low IQ idiots thoght this would be good idea?
What is this ape crap
