Blizzard don't YOU DARE make a Lightforged DK I swear to God I will boycott every product from you.And for those that say "undead human priests"... Uhm... HELLO, Lightforged draenei are NOT like humans with Light. The very essence of Light is infused within their bodies, they are affected by it to the core.
The more I look at the assembled NPC images, the more convinced I am these aren't Death Knights. The armor used is cloth armor reskin. Are we looking at Necromancers in the making? Also, glowy eyes are never part of the model textures, they are effect used, so this is not a concern.
Vindicaar - new Acherus with Knights of the Holy Death =D
This actually interests me.
Well if the Lich King would want to speed the process of increasing the numbers of his armies against a future threat or conquest.Adding Necromancer to his armies would do so.Already the old Lich King used necromancer like those of cult of the damned.Adding allied races to DK rooster is cool but adding them as future necromancers even cooler. If not it would act like a carrot to level up allied races further if they where offered something entirly new and not yet again one of the old classes again.About time for a new ranged class/specc let necromancy be that, that or my longing for bard class^^Then guess Necromancers is more likley^^
Sooooo… Lightforged death knights make sense now? Okay then.
Lightforged Deathknights...That just seems so wrong. lol
Call me old-fashioned, but I whole-heartedly disagree with all this. The original races up to cataclysm (even back then) make sense, but this? This is just outrageous. The Lich King (as off this current time) had zero (or close to it) contact over the new allied races/pandaren, and our current death knights are unable to raise people as a death knight of a similar calibre to themselves. For those that will reference the legion narrative and how we were able to do the aforementioned - that was mostly the artifacts doing most of the work. The only exception to the above is this is a tell-tale sign that the new expansion will be about the Lich King, where he WILL raise allied races into undeath, in which case that would make sense, although tangentially. However adding new options for the sake of player variability over the cost of the lore narrative, is a terrible decision. If this turns out to be an example of that, you are just spitting into the face of wrath and the pinnacle of what wow was. If you want WoW to be a better game (other than the %^&*-show of BFA) you should be prioritising lore narrative > player customisation. And if this decision turns out to favour players over lore and the new expansion ends up being wrath based, then I might as well ditch retail completely and keep playing classic. The game should have ended with Wrath of the Lich King.TLDR: Do the lore justice, before you add customization to the game. And for good measure, double or triple check it with the fan-base. I have zero faith in your ability to write current lore (barring legion), Blizzard.
Lightforged draenei deathknights... that doesn't seem plausible, if lightforged is actually supposed to mean something. This feels like more of the same, that they're essentially some barber shop customization that got made into an allied race. Broken/krokul would have been more interesting lorewise and been visually distinctive. And relevant to this news, krokul dk would be pretty wicked, with auchindoun feel.
furry dks? this is sad
lmao! Panda DKs 'We're cute, but we will eat your soul.'
