Earlier today, the stress test install for WoW Classic showed up on the Blizzard launcher, leading players to think they were invited to test AV. As the button was greyed out, this led to further confusion where players thought realms were down.
It turns out this was a bit of unfortunate timing, where Blizzard changed how things are presented on the launcher the same days as a special AV test.
So to clarify, Alterac Valley is
not
open for stress testers, only regular WoW Classic beta testers.
Blizzard
Earlier today, we made the stress test install appear on the game screen of the launcher for all players who have installed it. This is to make it possible to uninstall easily.

Nice. Another taunt to throw at us non-streaming peasants.
Getting tired of seeing this "woe is me" victim of "streamer privilege" whining on basically every classic post.
Why? It's well known that many long-term 14+ year customers have been ignored in favor of streamers who were barely born when WoW came out. Blizz already has multiple PR issues, why create more? They are their own worst enemy.
I have played Wow sen Open beta Vanilla. I have never stoped my account. I have never streamed 1 second of wow...doesn't even have the software that is needed, still I got in to the Classic beta instantly. I was also in the BfA Beta and the Legion beta, so just stop whining aboute that its just streamers that get access.
In the guild I'm currently in on the ally pvpserver, maby 5% stream, and most of them is never heard of....
There is just 2 servers, 1 pvp and 1 pve, so they just don't need millions of testers.
Also, Blizz is a business company soinviting popular streamers to the beta will give free PR to the game...nothing strange at all.

It doesn't show up for me at all. I have an active live WoW account.
