to people who call these easy.. and reaping is what? hard? heh...
I really wish they would just remove fortified. Almost all of the affixes (and certainly all of the 10+ affixes) only affect trash, which is what fortified already does.
Sounds so dumb
Finally the AoE specs will burn, It's time to shine with my Assa, yummy yummy. Outlaw spec is boring af. Happy to see more ST specs :-) The seasonal affix seems to be kinda difficult, but we get used after a time. Will there be 30% buff for HP and DMG within dungeon trash and bosses? I think so...
I really like these designs. The most punishing one is the one that cannot be just bursted down and has to be knocked back consistently to keep people from dying instantly to their own damage. Purely by that design having ranged damage sources becomes actually important in the currently melee centric meta(unless a healer is enough to keep it away, but hopefully not). If all melee comps have to dedicate a melee to just keep the mob away that is win in my book.Anti stealth is next on the obvious list. Rogues are too good, and turn every run into a case of repeating the same exact skip, welcome to that being impossible and what can and can't be skipped changing every week, potentially even devaluing it on certain weeks on some dungeons. As a killable one with a fairly quick enrage mechanism it also pushes single target burst. The fact it can also be LoSed should also make ranged more valuable and change how it is tackled weekly(since it is not random, but rather only select a few packs can be each, they likely very much considered that if placed along with other priority targets there is LoS options)The anti CC one is just a really straight forward single target burst requirment. In this case the mob is not the interesting part, rather how you deal with those around it that changes, as suddenly easily interruptable abilities and chain stunned targets now actually have to be dealt with. I just hope Blizzard made very sure not to put it next to anything that kills you when the cast goes through.
The thing that worries me the most is how will this play out with the fortified affix, because it can make fortified weeks a living hell that you'll want to avoid like the plague
see you all in season 4 maybe
When I heard unsubstantiated rumors that "there will be less RNG" I was expecting the RNG-loving mofos to come back with something obnoxious like this.Yay to people dropping out when they see a pack in a bad location. Reaping at least is fun Sure, can give a group a DAWGH moment, but even then it's still fun, and Bwonsamdi's buff (and the need to actually find him) is also a good idea.To be honest, I dislike how things like "random dangerous mobs altering your pathing" work with "must meet timer". If they want to force us to think instead of memorizing "best" routes, skips, pulls etc., then for heaven's sake GET RID of discriminative timer and "negative" result, and just leave it for increases in rewards. I have a Seat of the Triumvirate +15 that took 3 hours to complete on record, and a few 1hr+ 10s in the current expansion - all were stressful, ran by group seriously undergeared for the attempted key, and still FUN. The problem is, the system isn't encouragement (or lack thereof) only - it's reward or PUNISHMENT, which is a bad idea and keeps driving people away.I'd be fine with RNG-induced uncertainty if I was guaranteed my key won't get bricked, and will stay the same so I can try with another group. Or else, if we complete, I can still try to make it on tima and on same level somewhere else, without having to waste time to push up key again just because a moron or bad luck bricked my key. As it is, if I'm not running with my friends, I am literally FORCED to discriminate to the extreme (r.io and more) because the alternative is a punishment I can ill afford.
Three different mobs in different places from week to week seems a bit over the top. Whether fortified or teeming or simply large trash packs requiring a lot of interrupts or stuns trash can be long winded enough already without adding a lot more variables and strategies into the mix. Will wait and see but I'm lukewarm on this.
The new affix makes me want infested back. Guess in 8.2 I will be doing only 9 and lower.
Season 1 (Infested) Player Reaction:"Dungeons in BfA feel exhausting! There's far too much going on, and adding infested on top of that just makes the dungeons even more exhausting. There are far too many spells and abilities."Season 2 (Reaping) Player Reaction:"This is better, and in the right track. The dungeons are still exhausting due to all the spells and abilities, but at least Reaping adds a fun break and return-to-older style of dungeons that we all enjoyed."Absolutely No One:"We want more spells and abilities added to the exhaustive list of spells and abilities that must be interrupted, silenced, or crowd controlled in BfA Dungeons"Blizzard:"We added a collection of new extremely annoying spells and unfun spells and abilities that will be randomly placed throughout the dungeons for the next Mythic+ season!"
It's extremely clear blizzard is pushing this garbage for their esports, and not for the 99% of other players who don't participate in keys higher than a 10, 11, or 12. M+ is extremely lackluster in BFA, with nothing done for the affixes to make them any more engaging to the average player. Once again, the groups will compose of the same five classes. How diverse and imaginative! /s
