this is the bull@#$%e portal room stuff all over again removing something very useful and good and then claiming they improved the game, and some people are idiotic enough to believe blizz when they say this an improvement.
We are loosing Barding, Hoofplates and Stirrups, thats what we are loosing. Instead of adding to the system, improving it, they scrap it for less options.
Acceptable. Best case scenario would be making it free for those at exalted, but 40g isn't terrible, even with my 50+ alts.
I love this change, the water strider is ugly and noisy. I'll be glad to not see and hear them everywhere. No matter how it turns out, all the tears alone was worth it.
IT BETTER STAY THAT PRICE OR SO HELP ME!
There is a better way to give everyone water walking on any mount. And it could end up helping to support someone who uses professions for gold to pay their sub. What will you give for the rep grind now? I have an idea... give all of us who worked hard for the Rep that nice huge dinosaur. You have out priced your mounts for those of us who can no longer make the newest gear, items in order to get gold. Thanks.
I maintain that, having to pay more for something I already had, is ridiculous. And that, the Water Strider should remain as a "If you'd rather not keep spending money on the equipment, you can farm the rep for the mount" is a MUCH better idea.
Dumbest change yet, GG Blizzard for another tonedeaf knee jerk reaction. Guess I'll make my blood DK herbalist and miner so I can capitalize on your lackluster design.
Really, the equipment slot is for all the mounts on your character, what is this development team thinking, one bad decision after another. For those thinking this is a set it and forget it forget about things like farming. In all honesty though about a month or so after the 8.2 patch hits not many people will be using Water Walking, becuase when they get most people will be flying and most likely using .
I'll admit, that mail you get kinda bothers me. Unless every water strider in the game (not just the mounts) is no longer able to walk on water, Blizzard's probably better off just not having a message attached at all. Because...if the water strider population has indeed lost its innate ability to walk on water, then it should be ALL of them, right? Not just the ones that players use as mounts.
