tbh i cant remember the last time i have bought anything over 1-2k gold from AH xDidk why but i hate spending gold in AH when i can get the thing myself as i got lots of alts and farm alot i always make my own flask gems and enchantsthe most expensive thing i have bought from AH was a guardian cub for 9k bk in cata (i think ?) and sold it for 350k in legion lol....
I like to spend my gold on mog items, pets, and mounts. I have never gambled on the black market auction house but I've always been curious about the containers. I am afraid of losing my gold by getting crap items vs something I really care about.
What do you like to spend your gold on? What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought? Have you ever gambled with an unclaimed container on the Black Market?For me - tmog off the BMAH. Its just a shame some of the more interesting mounts are not available on the BMAH; what's there is somewhat arbitrary! That and game time/BNET balance - the tokens were the best addition to the game.
Every time I get close to gold cap so I can eagerly await the moment a Plagued Proto-Drake comes on the BMAH, I need to buy consumables for raids, or I help out my friends if they're broke, or then other mounts pop up I'd like to add to my collection. It's a never-ending climb I slip down from time to time but I wouldn't have it any other way. I believe in that whole "it's about the journey, not the destination" thing, and hey, if I can make my friends happy by helping them out then that's more gratifying then any mount could be. ^^
YOU TOO can get RICH! Just send me 100g for my totally FREE guide to making gold (: /snarky snarks snark
"What do you like to spend your gold on?"Mostly tokens. It has been a LOOONG time since I have had to spend RL $ on WoW. Back in 'the good ole days' I did nothing but send my minions out on gold missions. I'm STILL not paying. Granted, I'm getting a bit worried... My sub will be running out in about 6 months.. Damn, I need to get back to 'work' (;
I`m saving for the brutosaur. Actually i`m at 4.5m but i will wait until i have around 6m before i buy it.
Most of my gold is spend on missing pets. Most expensive things I bought were the "Grande Iaque da Expedição" and payed for "Acima do normal: Argus, o Descriador" wich gave "Asamágis Violeta" both were around equal costs. I don't have a minimum set for spending and finally got my first million on all 28 toons together ;) But I do have 3 dedicated traders now, was never realy in to goldmaking, only used TSM for priceinfo and some trading and vending operations. But since BfA and these weekly wrap ups I'm mutating into a Goblin.
I feel like the could bring the Mobile Auction House in a fun way where they revamp some of the major issues as well as having the NPC on the caravan kinda being the face of the App!Also I totally get when you said that the caravan is more of a statement piece than totally necessary as a Mountaholic(I mean look at my name lol) I want it but there are plenty of mounts to buy before it Haha. But if I ever have 5 Mill then it is mine lol
I've spent gold on pets which I've needed for pet fights; mats (and armor/weapons for enchanting) for leveling professions; potions, food, and other things needed for raiding/dungeons; and occasionally game tokens.
I like to try and low ball the black market TCG mounts. A lot of times they come to the BMAH during high raid participation, or if there has already been a steady decline in wow player base population. In those cases look for mounts sitting around the 300-600k that are TCG mounts. You can then try to resell it on your AH or pay to transfer your guy to a big server (wow token price) sell it there quickly. and return him to your own server if you wish or start investing in your new home.
My issue with a comfort point in how much gold I have changed every time I hit a new mark. I used to think 100K was a huge amount. The ability to drop 10-20K on something blew me away. Then I hit 500K, 1 million, etc. and I still have the mindset of I can’t spend more than 10 or 20K on something because that’s “too much” even though I list auction items every week that start at 20K. It’s weird to have so much gold and still have that thought in the back of my brain that I can’t (aka: don’t want to) spend some of it.
I feel like making gold is too difficult if you don't want to spend a lot of time on it. Just playing the game I can make enough for a token each month, but not enough to pretty much ever buy any of these expensive mounts coming out. I just don't want to spend countless hours working for imaginary money, so I mostly just do without those cool extras.
Most expensive thing ever bought - swift razzashi raptor, 2M. Ever gambled with an unclaimed container on the Black Market - nope, prefer to buy actual items and flip
I've gotten to the point where I spent way too mcuh on wow tokens at the end of last xp not expecting their collapse, so im rebuilding - i have plenty of wow time and balance but only about 2 million liquid. So as far as penny pinching goes, im setting markers, like once i hit 2.5 million (excluding stuff im shuffling through the ah) I won't dip below 2.4, and won't go below 2.8 once I hit 3 and so on - it makes it feel like that # is always within reach, and I think that's psychologically important to making money.
Regarding Penny-Pinching and Spending:I'm both a mount collector and an altoholic, so I'm rarely over 500k gold on one single toon. My 2 mains are Prot Pally and Blood DK, with another 43 alts as of yesterday. My first penny-pincher job would be to eliminate some of my alts! Well, considering I just made some Allied Races to replace others, some will be deleted and gold transferred to the newly leveled ones. One of these days, soon, I need to add up how much gold I have per toon, liquid and in assets. But I am one of those people who enjoy leveling and then gaining what mounts and benefits I get from them. Side-Perk: I am still farming some older mounts requiring raid achievements. On some days I will toon hop doing the raids just to work on the drop, each time leaving with no less than 2000-3000g per hour.
The only thing I spend my gold on is WoW Tokens.Good guide for gold-making btw.
What do you like to spend your gold on? What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought? Have you ever gambled with an unclaimed container on the Black Market?Collectibles :) Mainly mounts and pets. Most $$ thing to date is one of the frog mounts - love it though! I've never bought an unclaimed container - I like to know what I'm getting in advance.

What do you like to spend your gold on? I spend most of my gold on materials for my crafters to get them up high enough where I can make my own stuff, I know that sounds counterproductive but by mid-expansion I am set.What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought? The most expensive thing I have ever purchased was the Grand Expedition YakHave you ever gambled with an unclaimed container on the Black Market? Yes, and I won the container but it only contained a ring that I didn't need...BooHoo. LOL
