Good luck to those also doing multiple daily runs this year. With this clarification, I'm doing 21 runs a day! I know of some doing over 40...
...and with that will they increase the droprate?
I wish they would just up the drop rate on the Love Rocket to a more reasonable level like the Headless Horseman mount.I'm well over 5000 kills over the years and still no mount. This year I only have about 90 eligible characters but it probably won't be enough.
I'm guessing this change is because of the allied races starting at lvl 20 so people don't keep creating/deleting one to endlessly farm for it.
So happy all my alts got to 112 while farming for the Headless Horseman mount.
Thank the Light I won't have to level any alts through BFA zones.
While it's nice that limits my runs to 13, damn that limits my runs to 13 my lower alts have been held up with all the events going on with other franchises.
Gladly i got that mount in 2 events :3 farming with just 8 characters per year ;)
To be expected. Got enough 110s though. At least this time they officially tell us the level range, so this is actually an improvement. But some people just want to cry about anything.
22 toons ready... maybe 5th year is the charm?
i really wanted this mount so i made heaps of high level demon hunters to farm this out in legion. (requirement was level 100 for mount to drop). i made about 30 demon hunters over a whole year. It only took less than an hour to level through the starting zone per alt so its not that bad. Thats less than one demon hunter a week. First day of Valentines Day event, got the mount on my 23th kill. Which meant, I didn't have to make all those characters to farm this mount. I was very disappointed lol The demon hunters just sit on my account now gathering dust. No point playing them
With over 600 drop "chances" (and the first five years I did not even document these) myself I do not feel like it will makea difference if I add 10 or 200 to this this year. What WoW really needs for these rediculous low drop rates is not to make these generelly higher (and I am looking at you World-Bosses),but progressive drop rates. The chance to get a rare item should increase with every kill for each char individually. So if there is a 2000:1 chance to receive a mount, the next time this char kills it should have a 1999:1 chance or 1998:1 or something like that. That would eventually reward these who keep playing the game and doing killing the same bosses over and over again for years. At the same time it would allow for lucky drops and rarity over quite some time. You can bet though that such a system would be misused by the devs though, adding items at 1000000:1 chance starting point.
My starter edition level 20 characters attempts won't cut it anymore then. *sighs*But yes, it does get rid of the create-delete spam some people do, specially now that the allied races start at 20.
Oof. Well, I only have 13 characters eligible... which is plenty, because I don’t want the thing badly enough to burn myself out farming it. Would be nice if it dropped, but I’m not holding my breath...
Would be nice if they raised the drop rate or introduced an alternative route to gaining rare drop mounts like this instead of just increasing the level at which you can earn it. Even if it was an obscene amount of love tokens to straight up buy it, that'd be really nice. Blizzard doesn't typically make RNG drops available for purchase though, at least not collection-based stuff, so wishful thinking there. :(
