Thing is, she's not.. evil, strictly. She wants to conquer death, by any means necessary.
Awesome. I am a lot happier after reading this. Forsaken Forever!
I wonder if people realize she can die and that she will also be rezzed like what happens in the storyline for silverpine forest. first to be shown dies, doesn't mean its the end of the character.
just don't care so much about the plot, Blizzard is only an indie company.
My main was a forsaken rogue till late legion and I always was a huge fan of Sylvanas. As far as I remember MMO-champion transcription post about Wrathgate from early Wotlk beta the Putriss part of dialog was originally named after Sylvanas, it was changed almost the last moment, because the player base got angry. Also there is one part that didn't get changed where Arthas calls Sylvanas by name through she is missing there. So Yes the original concept of Wrath gate was on Sylvanas order.PS : here https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/614436-*SPOILERS*-Sylvanas-Betrayal
His direct quote is misleading and can be interpreted in multiple ways - too many ways for it to be proven she ordered Putress to betray her, that's silly. She did create the blight, and as I recall, Putress ordered the cannons to be fired. Sylvanas might have ordered him to use the blight on the Scourge, but there are too many unknown variables. Personally, this changes nothing for me, because the Sylvanas I know and love is evil, and y'all are going to enjoy being undead like me. :)
There are a lot of people who are taking the reading as absolutely literal rather than extrapolating the meaning in the quote. It has been blatantly obvious since day one that Sylvanas orchestrated the creation of the blight, with the intent of using it at the Wrathgate. She probably even had the blight moved up to be in position and everything. But she of course didn't plan to get betrayed by her right-hand man and Putress.I mean, she blighted Gilneas in the expansion immediately after Wrath. She raised the dead of Dalaran (Amber Mill) and forced them to kill their old friends, her forces raised Southshore in an outright blight apocalpyse, she used old scourge tools and more aggressive necromancy again in Andorhal, and probably far more moments as such than I can count. This is Sylvanas, she has always been this way, it's just that when she has the Warchief's seat and a lot of respect/loyalty from those who serve it.. she can accomplish so much more in exactly the same vein as she always have.
All of this Sylvanas talk is making feel bad about my Forsaken Priestess. I feel like race changing her now :s
well that makes varimatras' lines in argus make more sense depressingly
People, even developers and writers at Blizzard, seem to keep mixing up Plague and Blight, despite them being quite different.Plague kills and then raises people, mainly humans. It was used by the Scourge, and by the Forsaken early on until it's use was phased out due to reputation and limited use (it's the same weapon that the Scourge uses, and it's only really useful against humans)Forsaken Blight, which was first developed during Wrath and, by the battle for Lordaeron, been perfected, is a similar chemical weapon that kills ALL things, living AND undead. It kills Scourge and Forsaken just as easily as it kills humans and orcs. Also importantly, it doesn't raise the fallen.
I just find it funny how people seem to not really get Sylvanas, don't know her full story or what she have done in the warcraft universe :P. just gets mad on things that she have already done something similar. just now in larger scales.
Now this is a retcon i dislike.
Well nice, Horde is Blizzard favorite kid as usual. Emo kids everywhere,
