Someone on the writing must really like Lorash, he is written like really terrible fanfiction and suffers from Donut Steel syndrome found among "badass hardcore mfers" that people write on the internet.I bet when they revive him he will ride a motorcycle made out of skulls (not available to player), have a large breasted blood elf female clothed in (not available to players) skimpy clothing, and probably smoke and wear sunglasses all while wielding a dagger that looks like Frostmourne (it is they just shrunk the weapon).
Derek isn't the first important human raised against his will. Until him, Sylvanas had already raised the prince of Stromgarde or Lord Godfrey for example, such as Lilian Voss.
The story of the Horde only worsens. It surprises me that the Red Faction players are still playing this game, since they are only bad guys and they only have the ability to win battles using dirty means. We see alliance leaders growing stronger, while those in the Horde are pathetic.
It's the mind-control that's the real issue here. Even as Derek is to be used as a weapon rather than an individual, it marks the first official time Sylvanas engages in mind-control, which naturally raises concerns. For all the crying about Sylvanas being Lich Queen, nothing she's done is anywhere near as bad for her subjects as forcing her will on them. With Derek she demonstrates she has the means as well as the will to do it. For Baine and his kind this may be a question of honor like before, but for the pragmatic side of the Horde this could mean future enslavement. Can they trust their Queen not to unleash her Val'kyr on them?I hope the uncredited bit is Lor'themar. It's grimly pragmatic, spoken like the person is aware of the realities of the world they live in. Sounds similar to the final bit of his short story, and with him getting an original model it would be odd if he'd do nothing with it (besides the armor stuff).
Pls Blizz KILL that brainless dead elf Sylvanas. KILL another Horde leader, and give us True Warchief that can lead us to the path of honour, blood and glory
Raising the undead is a Tuesday afternoon for the Horde. Baine should be use to this by now. And ppl need to realized this "honor" that ppl like Baine and Saurfang is trying to preserve is complete BS.
You win the war by winning with several small strikes. Not with one big swing. Derek, if her plans go as planned, will be twisted and will infiltrate the proudmoore's family because she knows they care to much about him and won't kill him. They'll try to redeem him and when they think they suceeded, he will kill them in their sleep. Thereby weakening the Alliance as a whole. This will probably work to kill Admiral Proudmoore as Alliance players have been waiting for that, but it won't kill Jaina. Also, you all keep thinking of Derek as a Forsaken... he's not. He's a weapon. A tool. She never had any intention of raising him as a forsaken.
Lilian Voss still working for Sylvanas after she turns Derek into a sleeper agent would be a goddamn crime.I'm expecting only Katherine to get offed by him, which hopefully leads to Jaina finally doing what she should've done to Orgrimmar back in Mists.
I personally don't see anything more wrong about Raising Derek than anyone else, its not the first time Sylvanas raise a hero. They might want to make her out to be going down the Garrosh path; but personally I still don't think she've done anything wrong.
