the op horde racials is what moved alot of the higher end content players to horde, for both pve and pvp. Alliance used to have humans to balance the op pvp racials out, but its been nerfed - surprised? So when you have expansions of this balance shifted to horde in terms of racials - and that's the only thing separating two factions - if you wanted to do top end stuff where this kind of min max is required - where are you going to go? horde. There we go, unless the devs tip the racial scale to the alliance nothing will change what we see on the hall of fame board. will we have 100 alliance guild before the next raid goes live? That's the million dollar question. If you look at the top 100 alliance guilds you got alot stuck on 6/8 mythic, i suspect this is going to be the case for a while - will the horde guilds who did not make top 100 switch? No - they most likely do not want to be stuck at 6/8 like these alliance guilds are. The player base for mythic raiding is horde, it will stay horde until what caused this to happen gets reversed and then you may have the same problem just reverse factions as alot of those horde guilds I am sure has made millions of gold selling cutting edge and AOTC, so switching that to blizzard balance and faction changing isn't going to dent them at all.
Imagine being that 101st guild
I blame Deity
I mean, to be fair to Blizz, they implemented this change in large part to try to combat faction imbalance. Thus far it doesn't seem to be working as intended, but the flip side to that is that it's kind of early to say. Realistically, any advantage that would actually get a large enough number of guilds to hop the fence that it would fix the faction imbalance within a single tier would likely provide a major (to the point of being unfair) advantage to Alliance, and would probably just invert the faction imbalance in the longer term.Of course, if they really wanted to cut down on faction inelasticity a bit they could, oh, say, make it not cost nearly as much as two months' subscription per character to faction transfer, especially since the large majority of players in guilds that have a shot at hall of fame achievements are running one to several alts to better manage comp-stacking and the spec meta roulette. (Not to mention the fact that different servers have different Alliance/Horde raid scenes, so in most cases a server transfer would be necessary as well.) It's a lot harder to justify a faction shift when the aggregate cost across the guild could easily reach into the thousands of dollars.
That is fking redic, I'm basically being forced to server transfer off my med pop cluster, i want to do mythic uldir but there are like 2 guilds across my 4 servers doing it... And it doesn't look like cross relam mythic is going to open anytime soon.. once again gj at being horrible at your job
Im sorry if I sound ignorant, but what racial are so very broken? The only racial I can think of for raiding that is really strong is Arcane Torrent, which for zul is amazing, but What other horde racial is so amazingly broken that it creates such an imbalance? The worgan dash always seemed pretty amazing in a raid, as that can be used in any situation, aswell, void elves have their racial blink which is better than the goblin jump as I believe that the goblin jump counts as a potion use (I dont play a goblin so I am not sure). I dunno, perhaps I am just underestimation racials, because I always assume that for 98% of the time, they are pointless (for years the Orc and Troll ones were not worth the GCD use)
They're just stacking the reasons and the data points for when they drop the "cross faction grouping" bomb."You might think this doesn't make sense, but... remember HoF Uldir?""You might think this doesn't make sense but... *war mode stats*"It really makes me wonder, if part of the Blizzcon WoW what's next panel includes "and then to save the planet a detente is reached and cross faction grouping will be enabled for 8.2 and beyond," if the sound would be "yay-ish" or "boo-ish" at this point! Or would they save that reveal for later, for something online, so that whatever sound it is isn't recorded for posterity and it's just part of the same internet griping that accompanies EVERYTHING else these days haha!
How ANYONE is surprised about this is beyond me. As far as im concerned mythic raiding has always been skewed in hordes favor. They finally nerf the B-elf racial, BUT WAIT now its amazing for a certain fight in mythic. Lets not forget horde also has 2 aoe stuns. Horde is basically easy mode if u want to raid. Always makes me laugh when nubs say there's no faction imbalance in the racials, cus news flash its been imbalanced since day 1. Alliance had ONE (1) legit good racial and the crybaby horde couldn't tolerate the other faction having a halfway decent racial, so they cried like babies and now AGAIN they have literally all the good racials. Honestly I would prefer ALL racials just get flat out removed, since blizzard has proven they cant make them even remotely balanced. But they wont, they will just keep giving horde better ones. Watch im willing to bet out of the next allied races hordes race will have a better racial as always, just like literally all the current allied races. Void elves got a teleport that you can literally outrun even if someone cut your toons hamstring. High mountain tauren on the other hand got yet another aoe stun, yea... that's balanced...sure....Did i mention lightforged Draenei have to die for their racial to go off? Dont think i need to prove the point of racial imbalance anymore.
