One of the best websites and addons for creating mythic plus teams etc. Gj guys
Makes wowprogress obsolete.
WarcraftLogs has almost instant profile refresh for free yet Raider.io put you into queues of 20,000. Obviously to make players pay for the service, too bad since its not actually a bad service.
Unfortunately Blizzard's "Unknown" bug makes Raider.IO useless for me for M+ atm.
I'm pretty sure the queues only exist because there's a lot more people using RaiderIO than the competition. Tends to happen when your service is 10x better than the others. ;)
Raider.io can die in a fire tbh. This add-on enables elitism and discriminatory behaviour in players worse than even Gearscore years ago.\r\rI wish Blizzard would block their access to its API.

Let\u2019s also get any progress sites so no one can see if you\u2019re a Johnny nobody when they are forming their raid groups too.
Raider.io can die in a fire tbh. This add-on enables elitism and discriminatory behaviour in players worse than even Gearscore years ago.\r\rI wish Blizzard would block their access to its API.\r\rIf the addon\/site did not exist there would be alot more toxicity in the game from failed groups and\/or people would narrow their search for people even more. Having the site\/addon enables you to get a ballpark idea of how knowledgeable the applicants (to the group) are to the content in question.\rThe few weeks we've had now without raider.io scores doing M+0 I've mostly stuck to players I already know because the fear of someone leaving over a wipe\/disagreement and\/or not needing stuff from all the bosses has been substantial.
Raider.io can die in a fire tbh. This add-on enables elitism and discriminatory behaviour in players worse than even Gearscore years ago.\r\rI wish Blizzard would block their access to its API.\r\rWith a more positive mindset, it can actually be used as a motivational tool. I was downright afraid of running M+ in Legion, but after a few low keys with friends went well, I started looking at raider.io, and it almost gamified the progress I was making, which was great. It's helpful to have a tool that quantifies your experience in keys, and it can show you exactly how far you've come. I'm not hardcore by any means, but it bolstered my confidence to see my best runs going from +2s and +4s to slowly creeping up to +10s, +12s, and +15s.\r\rThe fact is, random groupings are always going to want some kind of tool or metric by which to filter potential party members. If not gearscore, raider.io, or even ilvl, it'll be something else. And it's hardly discriminatory when you consider the fact that they aren't delving into your history and reading logs that chronicle your performance; it's simply a quick way of seeing how much time the player in question has spent in keys in a given season, with higher scores indicating a greater likelihood of understanding fight mechanics, knowing shortcuts, which personal class utilities they carry and how\/when to use them, and how to handle the extra layers of the various affixes.\r\rYou'll find that getting discriminated against when pugging, due to a lower .io score, is very rare and unlikely this early in the season. Rather than decrying the use of a metric to determine preferable pugs, consider that -unlike gear\/ilvl, which can be dependent on luck and drops- this is a tool that simply gives a picture of experience and the time you've logged in. It's not unreasonable for people wanting to pick up someone for higher keys to desire someone with quantifiable experience to make the process smoother and more enjoyable for everyone. If you feel like a lower score is dragging down your ability to pug into keys, that's almost entirely in your hands at the end of the day. You can run low and mid keys with friends and\/or guildies to slowly get your score up, or simply pug into a mythic +0, get your own key, and run a group yourself, and start chaining them together and building that way.\r\rAs far as skill\/experience metric tools go, raider.io is actually quite fair. It gives a reasonably simple overview, but one that provides insight into the kind of time and experience a player has with mythic plus, especially when compared to various other metrics that either used to be utilized, or could be in the event that .io were removed. It's easy to write it off as an inevitable precursor to elitism, but just as group leaders are within their rights to deny you access based on a low score so, too, are you within your rights to run a party of your own, and accept party members on whatever basis you choose.

This add-on enables elitism and discriminatory behaviour in players worse than even Gearscore years ago.\r\rI wish Blizzard would block their access to its API.\r\rMake your own group, don't check any score, and have fun. You have to live with the consequences. You do not need to join groups who check raider.io score.\r\rBack in the day we had "gear checks". Anyone remember "LFM for ICC 25 HC, gear check at dala fountain?". Then we had GearScore. "LFM ICC 25HC, Min GS 5600!". Then later we got an average ilvl ingame, which replaced gearscore. And we always had achievement checks, ever since those were introduced. People have always tried to evaluate how good the players are they are taking on. And for good reason.\r\rLast week, before M+ was active, I needed to do a quick Shrine of Storms run. I needed the Hydrocore for crafting, and it was the last instance I was missing for the week. i took a guild heal and because it was a slow day, three random DPS. Since i wanted a quick run I took only 340+ DPS, expecting to be done with the instance quickly.\r\rThe warlock did a whopping 1.8k DPS at the trash. On every single pull I was leading DPS - as tank! After all three DPS failed to play the green rune at Skorn and I had to grind him down with the heal, I left the group. I had no intention as spending any more time with them. If you can not do the most basic game mechanics - don't stand in fire, do stand in beneficial stuff, then no, I don't want to play with you, and I don't want to carry you through the instance in a run that grads out far longer then necessary.\r\rraider.io scores do not guarantee that I do not get a player I don't want to play with. But it greatly improves my chances.\r\rif you are not invited to groups because of your bad performance, that is your problem. You can not make other people want to play with you. if you want to play with other people, the other people have to want to play with you. how do you show you are worth playing with? by maintaining your score. Just like you have the proper gems and enchants and consumables. Its part of showing that you are worth spending time with. if that is elitism to you, fine. But again, you can't make other people want to play with you.\r\rAnd as I said before, make your own groups and you can choose with whom to play. But don't be surprised if you get stuck all too often if you don't vet the players you are taking on.

Obviously to make players pay for the service, too bad since its not actually a bad service.\r\rThose requests are different. One thing update your profile, raid progress, gear, mounts, achievements. But raider.io also fetches m+ runs and this is smth you cannt just fetch by character name - you can only fetch ALL runs from specific realm\/dungeon (top 500 only) and this is why queue is long, you cannt just spam this request. It's blizzard service problem mostly. Not latking about if you play on high-pop server your run can be not even noticed by system.\r\rRaider.io can die in a fire tbh. This add-on enables elitism and discriminatory behaviour in players worse than even Gearscore years ago.\r\rI wish Blizzard would block their access to its API.\r\rWhat? Gearscore is the absolutely same thing as avg ilvl we have ingame (but it wasnt an option in wotlk client), it's even slightly better since it counts equiped gear, not in bags.\r\rp.s. I have some disagreements with raider.io math side of m+ score, but technically they are doing just great. Wowporgress is an old side, and newcomers successfully overwhelmed it.\rp.p.s. People will always find ways to invite only overpowered people to their runs, there are already "AofT only" groups for normal raids etc. It's also a blizzard balancing problem (they were always bad at it) - you want to invite only some specific specs to your m+, and if you are a person who plays another spec (no matter how good) - you'll be always declined.
I don't see what's bad about the addon? You can see someone's experience, not some artificial number from gear that can be TFd or bought on the AH, or that's from raids. (Yes raid gear is nice but it doesn't make someone experienced in M+).\r\rIf I wanna push for high keys, I don't want some inexperienced person with high itemlevel possibly screwing up the whole key. The addon shows me if the person has done a similar key, it doesn't discriminate, it gives me information.

People who have a problem with quality control often have a lack of the required quality.\rPersonally, I have a problem with it encouraging quantity over quality. I don't run M+ often, which puts me at a disadvantage compared to players who are worse, but brute-force their way to a 'high score'.

It's employed in parallelism to the aforementioned gearscore and, in this way, only causes elitism and toxicity amongst forming groups. In my experience - I pug myself into groups more often than not - my ability is completely thrown out the window when my raider.io score shows that I've only done a handful of new mythic+ runs. It's the same as somebody asking for a 6k+ gearscore for an ICC 10 normal run; it's stupid and elitist. If you want to grab a bunch of "experienced" players, stick to your guilds. Leave your toxicity out of the pug world.

I don't run M+ often, which puts me at a disadvantage compared to players who are worse, but brute-force their way to a 'high score'.\r\rIf they are trully bad and brute force their runs - then they do a real hard work with completing keys in time, do a lot of them. May be with doing so they learned something? What makes a reasonable question: who is better in the result? A probably 'bad' person who did 100 runs or a person who thinks he's good and did 5 runs.\rThis system isnt 100% good (what makes me dont like their math part). I know some guildies who are very, very bad at game from raid perspective: always grey dps logs, never better, bad on tactics too. But they have crazy m+ score - at start they got lucky on gear ilvl, then they got invited to runs because of crazy gear and got carried by team (I asked them, they didnt even deny this), they got m+ score and now get carried all the time. This happens, but this system works much better then judging by ilvl.\rp.s. This addon actually an attempt to bring quality over quantity. Their score based on max m+ you did per dungeon. No matter if you do 1000 runs, only 10 (1 per each dungeon) counts for m+ score. So you need to do only 10 quality runs.
Bring the weekly guild best key and this is the best addon ever
