Awesome that the desktop part is finally here Kreygasm. Been waiting for that to finish development for a while, so happy that they did it successfully :). It looks amazing.
DOWN WITH RAIDER.IO and I'm a mythic raider before someone says some bs
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Raider.IO encourage you to spam the same mythic + you can do continuously to increase your score, and not to progress?I seem to remember issues with good players who only did one mythic a week getting terrible scores vs terrible players who continously spammed all day every day and only succeed 20% of the time.
I'd like to add my grain of salt about quantity above quality. I didn't like m+, so usually did 1 gor the weekly chest. As a melee i cba to got to seat/cathedral. With all this rio i often had problems getting to grps even pushing for weekly +15 (like get a +2 and then do 15) - just because the score requires all instances done - and noone cares that you ahve a +19 hov - you have the mscore of a person who did all instances on +10. I would find it more fair if it for example started calculating the avg mscore after a couple of instances done, making a 3*+15 have a highr score than a person who has 1000 +14 runs
Is the guild feature run, I look at my Mythic Dungeons tab and don't see any of my guilds progress. I'm sure someone has done a mythic+ in my guild this week, unless it is only for guild runs you have participated in?
It would be nice if Raider.IO supporters would at least acknowledge more that there is a problem with elitism. Because there is.
I won't say that the raiderio math gives an ideal representation of someone's skill and effectiveness at M+, and the process of getting it right is and should be ongoing, but to say that having no metrics would be better is like saying the FDA uses imperfect inspection metrics so we should all eat mud. That is to say, it's the kind of logic used by people who aren't thinking it through and people who are selling mud cakes.@Easo There is a lot of elitism, that I'll grant you. That being said, I think that the elitism creates more effective pugs with fewer leeches and unpaid carries. I see no reason that elite players (of which I am not one) should be in groups with novices or players unwilling to put in the work to learn their class. Unless they choose to, obviously. They want to play at the top level, and that means playing with other elite players. There should be tools to determine that without their having to know everyone by personal reputation.Quality control is only a threat to those whose quality needs controlling.
My only qualm with this is that an entity named raider.io does not take into account raiding with its scoring process so you can have a raider trying to get some mythic plus (Low ones like 4s and 5s for the weekly 360) but be rejected because weekly G'huun doesn't compare to getting a 2 or 3 in time every week to boost a score to the low tier 300s. I don't disagree with its mythic+ system for grading mythic+, its just a branding and slight UI issue that could be improved if the add on also listed Raid completion. Most folks are too lazy to copy link.
